Crocheted dress and blanket for baby doll

She is my 1:12 scale Heidi Ott miniature doll. I crocheted her a new dress, bonnet and a blanket.

I have made more hats! This time a cap for a man, and another for a lady.

Green hat - Vihreä hattu

Here is the green hat I promised! I think that I have been a bit too careful with decorating the hats. I tried to be bolder this time, but I still could experiment more.

Straw hat and basket - Olkihattu ja -kori

I had bought a package of miniature hat straw few years ago and I looked for it now, as I got interested in hat making. Before I started, I looked for some tips on the Internet and I found a useful tuturial from Lorraine's Miniatures. So, here is my first straw hat and basket.

Hat and bonnet - Hattu ja myssy

I got the patterns from two great books that I have, "Sewing Dolls' Clothes" (27 projects from the Dolls' House Magazine) and "Making and Dressing Dolls' House Dolls" (by Sue Atkinson). I cut the pattern pieces from thin cardboard and glued the fabric on them. I very much enjoyed making the hats and I want to make more! I think I will try to make a straw hat next.

A ladies' pyjamas - Naisten pyjama

As it often happens, you start to make something, which eventually turns into something else... This time, I was going to make some Victorian underwear for a lady, but at some point, it became a pyjamas instead!

Niin kuin usein tapahtuu, alat tehdä jotakin, joka matkan varrella muuttuukin ihan joksikin muuksi... Tarkoitukseni oli tehdä vanhanikaisia alusvaatteita rouvalle, mutta loppujen lopuksi teinkin pyjaman!

Crocheted shawl - Virkattu huivi

I crocheted a shawl using one of the patterns in the Grandmother's Lace crochet pattern book which I recently bought. Here one of my miniature fashion dolls (which is about the size of a 1/12 dollshouse doll) is wearing the shawl.
Virkkasin hartiahuivin yhden mallin mukaan, joka on äskettäin ostamassani Isoäidin pitsejä -virkkausohjekirjassa. Tässä huivi on yhdellä miniatyyrimuotinukeistani (nukke on suurinpiirtein samaa kokoa kuin 1/12 nukkekotinuket).

A ladies hat and hat stands - Rouvan hattu ja hattutelineitä

I crocheted a ladies hat and embellished it.

Virkkasin rouvalle hatun ja koristelin sen.

I also made a couple of hat stands. The base is made from a wooden bowl and the neck and head are wooden beads.

Tein myös pari hattutelinettä. Alaosa on puisesta kulhosta ja kaula ja pää on tehty puuhelmistä.

Wigging and clothing a porcelain doll - Posliininuken hiukset ja vaatteet

I assembled this porcelain doll a long time ago. As it so often happens, I forgot him for a long while, until I now decided that it was time for him to get wigged and clothed. I used viscose doll hair for his wig. It was the first time that I have made such a long doll hair. I was too unpatient for looking for any instructions, and so I just started to glue bunches of hair to his head, starting from the neck and proceeding to the top of the head. I think it turned out ok. Besides, as you can see, he is not a snob gentleman, but a relaxed hobo type, and that is why his hair does not have to be that groomed either!

New Heidi Ott doll - Uusi Heidi Ott nukke

 My lovely daughter gave me this beautiful Heidi Ott lady doll. I crocheted her a dress, a hat and a bag.

Ihana tyttäreni antoi minulle tämän kauniin Heidi Ott nuken. Virkkasin nukelle mekon, hatun ja pussukan.

I crocheted this dress for the old Ari baby doll which a friend gave to me. I have a few Ari dolls and I think that I have not introduced all of them in my blog yet.

I crocheted her this dress from Venne Colcoton 34/2 cotton thread.

Mrs Skele Ton - Rouva Skele Ton

The crocheted hat in my previous post was for Mrs Skele Ton, who is Witch's good friend. Mrs Skele Ton likes to dress up in pink.

Edellisen kirjoitukseni virkattu hattu oli rouva Skele Tonille, joka on Noidan hyvä ystävä. Rouva Skele Ton pukeutuu mielellään pinkkiin.

The Witch herself - Noita itse

The lady of the house herself, the Witch. 

I made her from a Mrs Claus doll kit which I bought from MiniKitz,and I crochted the clothes.  Minikitz is one of my favourite online shops for buying miniature supplies.

Another little guy - Toinen pikku-ukko

He is Unto, the baby of the Riikonen family. He is a rubber doll which I have bought from Minimaailma. He looks a bit like the German Bully Babies, but I am not sure if he is one. I just crocheted him a new outfit and he is sitting in his babysitter which I made a long time ago.

Tämä on Unto, Riikosen perheen vauva. Hän on kuminen nukke jonka olen ostanut Minimaailmasta. Hän näyttää vähän saksalaiselta Bully Babies -nukelta, mutta en tiedä onko hän sellainen. Olen juuri virkannut hänelle uuden puvun ja hän istuu sitterissään, jonka olen tehnyt aikoja sitten.
