Anything can be useful

OOTH challenge this week is most useful stamp/s, I find lots of stamps useful and on this occiasion I choose to use some of the Tim Holtz visage range to add texture to the background of my tag .

Also ABAC would like to use anything that can be tied, well that's what tags are for lol but I have also used some lace on my tag :)

So it was back to a favourite colour combo of worn lipstick and broken china with picket fence distress stain for the background and stamping again in the same colours.
Chipboard shapes from Tando .

Well it is definitely a snow day here in Hampshire, at 6.30 there was a light scattering and a phone call from a friend "shall we open the Country Market or not " hence a lot of phone calls to cancel so some extra play time for me to day :)

A nice easy one for you over the next fortnight over at Artful Times "Time" on an ATC

My background stamp from Creative Expression was inked in Archival inks and stamped onto glossy card and coloured with distress inks the fun shiloutte is unknow stamp and stamped in archival.
Have fun and Neet and I will enjoy seeing your take on TIME

Anything but a card

It's the second week of wings at ABAC with some fabulous inspiration from the team
I've made a background of distressed inks and stamped with an old Paper Artsy numbers plate and added some picket fence crackle paint.
The very old butterfly stamp I choose because it had very little detail on it was stamped with the new Paper Artsy numbers plate (just love that stamp) and I think you can just see the distress stickles on the wings

I don't know about you but we had a sprinkling of snow this morning but it's back to the rain now :( roll on spring

Venture into the Unknown

This is a venture into  the unknown as the Craft  Barn are having  an alpha challenge once a fortnight and I hope I have understood the instructions aghh as I haven't used a dictionary but a photo album I picked up at the charity shop, the  paper is a fab and bound in a way that there is room for embellishments and enough pages for the challenge, so an apt title for the first page.
The background has gone through many changes over the last week but I did start off with dylusion sprays and stencils and ended up using acrylic paints and archival inks.
The die cut letter from corrugated card are dipped into molton UTEE with a friendly plastic key and face and a shrink plastic stamp TH bird

Challenge 20 at Artful Times

Hello and welcome to our first challenge of 2013
I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year .

My choice this fortnight so grab those embossing folders and use two or more on one creation of your choice
I have made a tag using 3 folder , butterfly kisses from Craft concepts on the  dress form which was inked first, then the ink  applied to the embossing folder and embossed it really made the butterflies pop.
Cuttlebug swirls on the leaves and waterfall from Couture creations on the background both done the same way applying ink to the raised embossed detail.
I have used distress inks with brilliance inks (moonlight white and copper) which really work very  well  on top of the distress as you  can see on the background waterfall folder

Thank you for taking the time to visit and I look forward to visiting you and seeing what you come up with :)
