Scene it's meet Alcohol inks

The new challange at the Craft Barn  is dominoes.
I've use some of the coastal scene-it stamps and applied the alcohol ink with a cotton bud so no need for masking :) all edged with a silver leafing pen and some detail added to give the look of sea foam .
This one is covered with Brilliance ink it take a good day to dry even with the help of the heat gun  stamped with a small part of a C.I stamp and embossed a little surka glitter pen at the bottom cornerand edged with pale gold leafing pen

Just for Fun Week 4

The last week of Sam's choice of wings on Just for Fun  and it's the wings of an Angel
I wanted mine to look fluffy so made a paper cast  ( you can another example Here I have found that a little PVA added to the water helps ) stamps from the Hot off the press stamp yes I have used them for every challenge lol I then cut them out and added them to my tag
Looking forward to seeing your Angel wings :)

Week 3 at Just for Fun

Still in Sam's choice of wings it's "Oh for the wings of a bug" this week and I had great fun making mine :)
I started with a beer mat and painted it with gesso and coloured with DI's the fun butterfly is stamped on directly on to the background and the boy from Urban Snap shots cutout and stuck on top apologies for my terrible hand written  "I want to fly "
Hope you have as much fun as me and I look forward to seeing your creations on Just for Fun

Colour with distress inks

The craft barn's challenge is to water colour with distress inks and you you how I love that :) and the tutorial was a way I hadn't tried before so I've had a play .
To much water on this one and the ink seeped under the embossing, so will probably cut this cut at a later date because I love the way the colours have blended

A bit heavey handed with the reinker here but love the different tones it produced

Three colours used on this one

Clear embossed on black ink, think it's come out ok

This have to be the best for me .
They are all work in progress from a days play so you might get to see one or 2 finished one day :)
Thanks for taking the time to look xxx

Random or what

Over on UK Stampers we did a random swap send 5 things and make something with them well here's what I was sent This really got me thinking the eyes what to do with the eyes after a few false starts this I what I came up with. the ribbon around the edge of the tin, the X cut in half to make the jacket (now who'd have thought of that lol ) I cut the back off the eyes and stuck them to punched out flowers and a large silk flower folded in half to make a skirt, you might be thinking the face looks different, that's because I made a mold of the original and then replicated with pink FP and added detail with promarker, bit of an unusual looking tin but seems to work, I think lol

Just for fun's First Challenge

Here we go with the first post for a new Challenge Blog Just For Fun . I'm very happy to be part of a new blog that we hope will challenge you to think out side the box for the themes set each week, ok so I'm not that messy this week but it's a popular theme hearts with wings so hope you like how I have interpreted it and do pop over and see what Zoe and Sam have made.
I look forward to seeing what you do.

The wings are done with  shrink plastic stamps from Hot off the press and I have used beading wire which I have twisted threaded on the buttons and used seed beads. This would make a lovely pendant for a delicate necklace
This also fits in nicely with the Artistic Stampers Challenge Love is in the air
