Mid-month Milestone, my first finish, Valentine Exchange, and Thank You!

Quite a bit done on the Lilies; for the last week or so though i am struggling to stitch 100 a day!! This last bit that is remaining is full of confetti stitches, and as you can see all the threads are dangling because they might be needed 10 or so squares later.3 to 4 hundred more stitches, and i am done with this page!!

Here is Mary Poppins all finished. Mary is my first finish of 2011, and she has already joined the famous pile! It was fun stitching her, and i enjoyed stitching the roof and the chimneys the most. The bottom row not being there, it does look different. I have decided to give it a miss.

I have started a needle roll project, but not much done to warrant a pic, so we will wait for that till my next milestone post. Sticklounge organised a Valentine's exchange where we could stitch a pinkeep or a needlecase for a fellow member. It was to reach the partner not later than Feburary 14th, and each of us were to open our parcels on that day!!! It was not a one to one swap exchange. So what i stitched went to a lady in the UK (i also sent her Anchor 022 and Anchor 150 which are the colors on the birdie).

I used the trim i recieved from Riona. So here is my first ever pinkeep and thanks to Riona, i could work with nice looking trim!!
And what i received was a beautiful needlecase from a wonderful lady in Germany. Looking at what i got, a little part inside me feels i should have sent something more to my partner. I had received this parcel quite some time back, but this was opened on Valentine's Day. I am so ELATED at what i have received.

Lovely stitching, and a treat to the eye. I loved every bit of the needle case.
Look at the floss holder. While i have seen these in blogs, this is the first time i held one!! Thanks to my partner (you are the best dear!) for everything inside. I also have two variegated floss, a set of bobbins. Have a look at that tiny sock (is my English right?) isnt that the cutest thing in the world!! There was this figurine inside. I have asked my German friend what that is, as i dont know. But if you do, pls let me know. I am curious to know!!! Although, i am thinking i have been sent an angel:)

Stitching has helped me take my mind off the sad things that i cannot change. Stitching friends have made my life happier. Thank you ladies!!
