A sweet, fond farewell :: Michele Gross

Very few people come into your life with such a sweet nature, gentle encouragement and genuine care.
When I first met Michele "online", I could tell right away that she would be a fantastic addition to our team. She's smart, kind, friendly, and encouraging. She doesn't complain, she doesn't push, and she is always the first one to leave you some positive comments on a blog post.

When I met her in person, my heart smiled, because she is just as fun in person as she is online, if not, even more so. I got along wonderfully with her and the other DT members who joined us in January, and I am so grateful for those few days we were able to chit chat and enjoy the creativity around us!

So today, it's with a bittersweet touch that I let you know Michele is leaving the Market Street Stamps DT to focus on her clean-and-simple challenge blog, CAS-ual Fridays.

I am SO excited to see her take off - the last CAS-ual Friday DT Call was a huge success, and I could definitely understand how it would become too much very quickly just by the volume of participants she sees each week.

We are truly humbled by Michele's generous offering of knowledge, friendship and creativity.
As sad as we are to see her go, we are anxious to see where CAS-ual Fridays takes her!!

Michele has created one final project for today's post, so please do go visit her to bid her a fond, sweet, farewell, and be sure to follow her for what I'm sure are great things to come.

I couldn't have chosen a more appropriate stamp set to use as a final project - when we believe in ourselves, we truly can reveal our hearts. Sometimes our hearts lead us straight to the path we were born to walk.

Best of luck to you, sweet Friend!!

Enjoy Today!

Inspiration Week :: Scor-Pal & Market Street Stamps :: Day 3

Hello and Happy Wednesday, Stampers!
I hope you're enjoying our Inspiration Week so far, I can't believe we've already made it halfway through the week. Time flies when you're having fun!

Today's inspiration is courtesy of:

&

We're showcasing projects all week long and the Scor-Pal team is, too!
They've got some amazingly talented designers as well, so please do head over there and check out the beautiful creations they've posted for you on their blog.

DoBea's card creates an interesting background effect by scoring a diagonal pattern on a vertical stripe pattern paper. It reminds me of the reflection on a window pane, and I could think of a lot of fun different color combinations you could use this technique with! Her sweet camera and sentiment are from Make a Memory. Be sure to visit her blog for a GORGEOUS mini-album and more photos and a full supply list!

Michele designed a creative CAS card using Ain't No Sunshine. I love the scored cloud, and the scored horizon line is genius! Michele is the CAS Queen, so be sure to visit her blog where you'll find more design ideas and plenty of Market Street Stamps inspiration!

We also have a WINNER to announce
from the Operation Write Home LINK UP.
The winner is...
Congratulations, Lisa! Please email me {angelica at marketstreetstamps dot com}
and I'll get your $15.00 gift certificate right out to you!
Thanks so much to those of you who linked up and for supporting

Be sure to head over to SCOR-PAL's blog so you can see what amazingness they've designed for you today, too! Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Sweet and Simple :: Michele and Amy

Good Morning Everyone!!
Today we have not one, but TWO gorgeous cards to share with you.

First up, Michele's beautiful blue and kraft combination is stamped with our Woodgrain background and accented by a stamped tag with a flourish and sentiment from "Faith in You".
I love that ribbon, too!

Next up, Amy's pretty-in-pink card is monochromatic style!
I love the way she took the same color and stamped two different patterns (Mesh and Grace) to create her lovely greeting! She also used Simple Salutations for her sentiment.

Be sure to visit Amy and Michele's blog for MSS-inspired projects and more!
We're back on the blog tomorrow with a HOP for Operation Write Home.
You don't want to miss it - we'll have a link up, a coupon, and a prize, too!!!

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Grace and Elegance

As we approach the end of the year, another holiday season is coming to a close.
I'm still enjoying the Christmas tree in our house but very much looking forward to 2012 and all the wonderful things it will bring.
So today I have a holiday'ish card that could easily be a New Year's card.

Grace is such an amazing and versatile background.  I love the nostalgic look.
Paired with a wonderful sentiment from Essential Holiday Elegance, it makes a wonderful holiday card.
I can tell this will be one of my go-to background stamps.  It's just so lovely and can work for any occasion!

Wishing you a fabulous New Year!
2012 is going to be phenomenal here at Market Street Stamps!!

Uno Memento!

Hi there stampers!
Michele here bringing a little Autumn splendor to your morning.
I am so excited about the new colors of Memento Ink Pads that Market Street Stamps is now offering!  The colors are simply gorgeous... all 23 of them!
I love these ink pads because your stamped image dries instantly, so no drying time, no heat setting, just stamp and go!
Today I'm showing you Rhubarb Stalk with the gorgeous background stamp Punched Tin and a sentiment from Autumn Greetings.

Such a fabulous deep burgundy red!  I love the way the color changes depending on the color you stamp it on.  It's rich and earthy stamped or sponged on vanilla, but fabulously rusty when stamped on orange cardstock.  This is a must have color for your fall stash, and I have a feeling we're going to be really loving on it for Christmas cards too!

Check out all the yummy colors and let me know if you can choose a favorite.  Or better yet, how many colors are on your favorites list :)

Until next time, may your inkpads always be juicy!!

Keep Calm and Sip On

Hello there neighbors!
Its Michele here, bringing a little bit of happy color to your Wednesday using a couple of my
favorite Market Street Stamps.
Ok...I do have LOTS of favorites but this week,
Sip On and Tiki Time are at the top of my revolving list :)

I stamped the Sip On image twice in 2 bright colors and then paper pieced them together to create a cool framed look.  I am a huge fan of text and love to create my own, like I did here with the mmmargaritas stamp from Tiki Time.
Simple, clean and oh so colorful. Now that's my type of card :)

Thanks for popping in for a visit!

BFF's

Hi everybody!
Michele here with my very first post on the Market Street Blog!
I'm really excited to start your week off with a little fun!

I just love this darling little chili pepper from the BFF's set.
I had a great time paper piecing these little hottie's & you will too!
By inking up just a portion of this sentiment stamp, it coordinated perfectly with my images.
A few snips of twine from The Twinery and a fun colored paper made this card a snap to complete.
This set is full of darling images and fun playful sentiments.
I'd love to see what you create with this fabulous set, so I hope you'll load up your creations in the Market Street Flickr Gallery.
See ya there!
