I'm here today to introduce our Guest Designer for January, Laura O'Donnell! She blew us away with her project for the November Block Party and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her here today!

Here's a little bit about Laura and two BEAUTIFUL cards that she created to share with you!

Hello Market Street Stampers!  I'm Laura O'Donnell from http://itsallrosie.blogspot.com.  I'm so excited to be a guest designer for Market Street Stamps this month!  I am a stay at home mom to a 12 year old girl and a 4 year old boy.  We live in West Chester PA, which is a Philadelphia suburb.  We keep busy with my daughter's sports, field hockey and softball, which seem to go all year round now that she has started playing on club teams.  She also plays guitar.  Our little boy, Willie, is Autistic.  We have him in an Autistic Support classroom which goes 12 months a year and we have some therapists working with him here at home.  He is one hard working little man!  As for me, I started stamping in 2003 when I first started scrapbooking.  One of my earliest supply purchases (along with adhesive and a trimmer) was a set of alphabet stamps.  I knew the stamps would be a better investment over buying sticker sheets every time I ran out of vowels!  Over the years I drifted from scrapbooking more into cardmaking and every stamping, coloring, and inking technique under the sun :)

The first card I made is a Valentine featuring the Hearts a Plenty background stamp.  I love MSS's background stamps!  They are generously sized and ink up nice and evenly.  I used Memento Rosebud ink, which I noticed is sold here in the MSS store.  Memento inks are my favorite!  I have every color.  The embellishments I used are a Jillibean Soup corrugated heart, Twinery Twine, and some felt hearts that are the Create-ology brand sold at Michaels.  The sentiment is from the Simple Joys stamp set, which is a great deal on clearance right now!

Next I made a Mothers Day card with the sweet kitties from Cool Cats.  I colored them with Copics (E21, E23, E41, E000, R11) and used a mix of Studio Calico patterned papers for the rest of the card.

Thanks so much for letting me hang out here at Market Street Stamps and share my projects.  I look forward to spending more time with such a fun, talented, and social group of stampers!
