Last minute beauty lover gifts with Essence Cosmetics new products!

Hi ya Gorgeous!

There are only a few days left til Christmas and if you have not picked out the gifts for your beauty lover, these new colors and products from Essence Cosmetics are perfect for present toppers and stocking stuffers!

I'm loving that the "highlight/contour game has finally evolved in products to include other colors and shades, such as the peach and pink sets from Essence Cosmetics!

These are highly pigmented and a little bit of product goes a long way! I like applying mine over my face setting powder for a smoother application and more even distribution of the color.

Lip glosses are $2.99 on essencemakeup.com Blush play sculpting palettes are $5.99

The new 2018 Color of the Year as described from Pantone is included in this video via a new lip gloss from essence cosmetics!

Back to School with Essence Cosmetics

Hi ya Gorgeous!
It is already Back to School season here in Arizona - where did the summer go?

I recently received some lovely samples from Essence Cosmetics that are super perfect for ending the summer beautifully as well as starting the Back to School season off on the right foot!

As always, the glosses from Essence Beauty, are in the $5 range - I have two, a beautiful mauve tone and also a shimmery unicorn pink! Pair these with a liner or a lipstick!

I also have two of the new "insta" matte products - one is a mattifying spray for your makeup and the other is a lip product that turns any lip product into a matte finish.

The mascaras - are a sore spot! I absolutely love the Princess mascara from Essence but these two new formulations, that are 18 hour were smudgy, clumpy, and over all funky on me! I don't like the lengthening or the thickening. This could be me, and they have a really affordable price - so it's worth you trying them and remember to keep your receipt just in case you need to exchange!

This  video is a grwm style video showing the new products from Essence Cosmetics!

A New Mom's Guide to Looking Pretty

Have zero time for a beauty routine? Check out these tricks for looking put together in a snap

A New Mom's Guide to Looking Pretty

This is a TotalBeauty.com hairstyles article

Busy moms rejoice -- we have some tips for low maintenance makeup and hairstyles that'll make you look and feel pretty.

Get tips

Hello my mom friends!
Todays beauty bubble is really good and worth a click over, but before you go, may I share a few things from what I learned as being a single mom: precision isn't necessary for pretty.

Somewhere, I have that newschannel segment of me doing the 5 minute mommy makeup on tv, if I can find it I will post it for you.

Though here is the secret:
Hydration and moisturization will do more for your beauty than perfect makeup. So keep drinking lots of water and applying moisturizer.

Next: tinted moisturizer is the way to go for your daytime makeup, simply make your own by putting one pump of your day spf lotion with one pump of whatever liquid makeup you use.

Follow this with bronzer applied with a large domed brush and loosely dusted all over your face, think everywhere that you would get a sunburn! That's where you put bronzer!

Mascara is my favorite beauty product of all time: at least run one swipe through the center of your lashes and if you have the time and wherewithall ( is this a word or an expression?) to do the inside and outer corners, well good on you honey!

Finally, some form of tinted gloss. If you can get a gloss that has a high pigment load so it wears longer and with more hue like a lipstick even better. If not, just get some shine on your lips plus some moisture!

That my loves is one quick mommy look that you can do with a baby on your hip while balancing a sippy cup with your chin and answering a call on speaker phone. I did it, and so can you.

Love ya!

Mineral Fusion: lovely!

Most Tatted Cities in the U.S.

Find out which zip codes house peeps with the most ink

Most Tatted Cities in the U.S.

This is a TotalBeauty.com body article

We did the nerdy research to see which cities have the most tattoo parlors, expos, etc.

See cities

Hello hello! It's me! I'm back from a long week of traveling! I was so blessed and surprised to get back and find boxes of goodies to sample and write about; including this box of Mineral Fusion: minerals on a mission makeup! I tried everything on and have been playing with different looks but settled on a basic day look and took a photo.

So this photo is everything I used:

On clean skin, serum, moisturizer and eye creme note: no primer! I applied the mineral pressed powder foundation. I used a kabuki brush for the application all over my face and then a small shadow brush for the nooks and crannies of the face. I did two light coats and got good coverage and a balancing of my complexion.
Next, I ined my eyes with the Azure deep blue eyeliner pencil.

I used the Diversity eye shadow trio which does not have a high pigment load so for you ladies who are new to makeup, don't like intense color or are trying a new shade this is a perfect product for you.

I highlighted the brow bone with the pink shimmer, applied the nude tone along the tear duct area of my eye and then brushed a thick line of the deep plum shade along the lashes over the Azure blue liner and finished with a wee smudge on the edge of my eye for lift. If it looks subtle, it is.

I finished my lips with the Gleam lipgloss. It comes with a doe foot applicator and has a smooth moisturizing feel on the mouth; it's a bit tacky yet also has high shine.

There is a beautiful cool toned red called Flashy in the makeup that came and I didn't apply it for the photo because I was going from here to do errands and felt the bold red lips too much for Target.

Yeah, in this photo I have closed my eye but I don't think it's making much of a difference in how the shadows are wearing.

I did try the lipstick later and it's so buttery-very similiar to a Lorac lipstick.

Now to get some: visit Whole Foods (in Arizona that means Tempe, Chandler and Paradise Valley), or visit their website to find a location near you: www.mineralfusion.com

Stay tuned this week, I have new videos and giveaways for you! Stay gorgeous!

Hello my beautiful friends! I've got guest stories and videos up this week because I am out traveling for fun and leisure with my Mancub before he starts school. While I am away, I am making every concerted effort to not work or be online while vacationing.

I apologize for not having a photo credit or author line for this story but I just love it! Read it and you will too. That gal is just gorgeous! And the photo caption is right: lipgloss and diamonds are right for any situation! Oorah!

This 19 year old ex-cheerleader, now an Air Force Security Forces Sniper, was watching a road that led to a NATO military base when she observed a man digging by the road.
She engaged the target (she shot him). It turned out he was a bomb maker for the Taliban, and he was burying an IED that was to be detonated when a US patrol walked by 30 minutes later. It would have certainly killed and wounded several soldiers.

The interesting fact of this story is the shot was measured at 725 yards.
She shot him as he was bent over burying the bomb. The shot went through his butt and into the bomb which detonated; he was blown to pieces. The Air Force made a motivational poster of her. That's a shot 25 yards longer than seven football fields)

It's the Memorial Day weekend and for those of you who are staying home, or going to the beach or brides if you are going to your destination wedding even if you are doing Arizona weddings, this lipgloss with lipstick like coverage is so much fun! Awesome coverage!

So it's called LuMesh, and it comes in a tube, with doe foot, has a mirror on the side of the package and the best part is you get alot of pigment with a glossy shine and it wears without feathering. Even in the sweaty Arizona heat! Now, as I travel about, I'll report back how it does in humidity. If you want to get some and try it and tell me how it performs in your area, comment how you love it! You can find stores on the main website www.lumesh.com

Some details about the gloss and why you may like it as much as I do:

  • it's a blend of botanicals, has vitamin E and natural emollients
  • it's fragrand and flavor free
  • doesn't feel sticky and promotes a plump looking lip

This is perfect for on the go moms, business women, students and brides to busy celebrating the wedding to keep touching up the lips!

Enjoy and stay safe this busy Memorial Day weekend.

p.s. speaking of Memorial Day, just how grateful are you for the service and sacrifice of the soldiers of the United States of America? If you pass a veteran, or an active duty soldier, be sure and tell them how much you appreciate them. Better yet, if you see a mom of a soldier, tell her thank you for raising such an amazing son or daughter! Thanks!
