Happy Christmas Lights with IBS

Hello Stamping Friends!

We've been having a lot of cooler weather here!  So it has started to make me think about fall, as well as Christmas!!

So hard to believe that Christmas is a little less than 4 months away!

So with that being said, I decided to create two lovely Christmas cards, featuring products from Inspired By Stamping!!

I first decided I wanted to use the cute light bulbs from the Festive Greetings stamp set!
I love bright, fun Christmas cards!

So I decided to use pink, turquoise and purple for one of my cards for the solid bulb color!  And decided to use traditional red and green solid bulb colors for the other!

Which is your favorite?!

I really like them both!  But am always drawn to the colorful versions, as I love color!  But also love the elegant style of traditional!!

Here is a look at the finished cards:

I just used black in to stamp the bulb outline, which I ended up stamping slightly off, as I really like the look it gives!  And plus it is nice to not have to be perfect all the time!!
I also used the Happy Die for both of my cards!  And the coordinating Happy stamp set to stamp the 'Holidays' sentiment on each of the cards!

It's so much fun to create your own backgrounds!!

I really like how both of these cards turned out!!

Snowflake Christmas Tree with IBS

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!

I am on the Inspired By Stamping Blog today!!

Today I am going to share a quick and easy tutorial with you.

I'm going to use some of my IBS stamps, to once again create my own Christmas tree.

This time it's going to be a snowflake tree!!

Start by collecting some supplies:
 Cardstock
Stamps
Ink

Begin by creating your bottom layer of your tree.
I decided to go with some pink snowflakes first!!

I just eyeballed it! So no real need for a ruler, unless you feel as though you really want one.

Then continue with the next layer.  I decided to switch to a different color as well as a different snowflake design!
I also put these a little tighter together.
But then went loose again with the snowflakes for the next layer.

Continue on up the tree as you wish!

I finished the tree up by adding a trunk!
I thought the light-bulb end from the Festive Greetings stamp set would make the perfect trunk!!
Don't you think?!
It's so fun to find different uses for your stamps, then what they were intended for!!

Here's my finished card:
I used the snowflake in the Christmas Wreath stamp set for the "star" at the top of the tree!!

Just think if all the fun Christmas trees you could create!!

Glittery Lights with IBS

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!

I am on the Inspired By Stamping Blog today, sharing a fun glittery holiday card!

I love the new  Festive Greetings stamp set!
Perfect set for those holiday cards!!

When I seen the lights in the set I knew I wanted to make them glittery!  As holiday cards are so fun to create with glitter!

And I LOVE glitter!!

I started by collecting some supplies:
1
Tub O Towels (To clean the glue off the stamp)
Glitter!!
Glue
Stamp Set
Ink Pads

Start by stamping the string for the lights and the ends of the bulbs where you would like them.
2
I stamped the "string" twice to make them a longer strand.

I have this actual glue pad that I like to us, but I needed to add some new glue to it.  (If I didn't have this pad, I would use a foam applicator to add the glue to my stamps)

3
So I added a little glue.

Then I wiped it into the pad a little bit with my finger...
4

Next you are ready to "glue up" your stamp!
5
Lightly dab the stamp on the pad, just like it were ink.

Then stamp it where you would like it...
6
If you look closely you can see the glue light.

Then the FUN begins!  As well as messy part!!  hehe

I use my finger tip to grab some glitter...
7

Then gently rub the image where the glue is...
8
So fun! Sparkly! And messy!!  But so worth it in the end!

The nice thing about this glue, is that it don't try until after something else is in contact with it!  So you have some time to add the glitter!

Check out the pretty light....
9
I love the look!!
I then let it dry for awhile.

You are then ready to assemble your card!

Here's a look at my finished card:

Aren't the lights fun?!

I just LOVE all the glitter!
