Selfie with Honey Bee Scraps

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Scraps Blog!!

This is the first "complete" page I have created during my design team here!  I'm so excited to share it!

And just to let you know, I have fallen even more in love with Honey Bee Scraps stamps!  They are so perfect to use for project life!!

So are you ready?
Here it is.....
I used so many fun stamps in one page, it's so exciting!!

I first came up with the idea of what I wanted to do with the page, so I gathered my photos, as you can tell my daughter loves taking "selfies" of herself!  I can never leave my camera lay around for too long out of my site as she always seems to find it and then I find a million goofy and sweet pictures on it!!

I decided I wanted to try out the new Brush Grunge Alpha!
LOVE it!!

Before I started my 3x4 card, I first practice stamped part of the "selfie" sentiment to see what colors I wanted to use.
I instantly seen that using the fun mixture of bright colors was what this layout needed!  So I am so glad that I tested my idea out first!!

Turned out even better then I imagined!

The cute little hearts around the "selfie" sentiment are from the Beautiful Life stamp set!  The fun splatters in the bottom right corner are from the Brush Grunge Alpha set as well and the cute camera is from the Oh, Snap! stamp set!!

Here's a close-up of the fun sentiment I created:
So super fun with the bright colors!!

Being that my daughter loves taking pictures, I wanted to add the "keep calm and snap on" sentiment from the Oh, Snap! stamp set!

The word smile is in a few of the stamp sets, but I wanted to use a larger form, so again the Brush Grunge Alpha came into great use!!
I just love how this little subtitle piece turned out!!

One last little title I added:
I love the large "beautiful" from the Beautiful Life stamp set!  The font is so fun!!  The "you are" is also part of the set!  Again, as I have shown before, these stamps are so fun to use to mix and match sentiments!!

So many great sets used in this one page!!

Happy Stamping!!

Wonderful Friend with Honey Bee Scraps

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Scraps Blog!!

Today I am sharing a card I created for a sweet friend!

Something I really like about the Honey Bee Scraps stamp sets is the fact that you can mix and match them to create your own sentiments!!

I love the large sentiments in the Beautiful Life stamp set!

When I seen the work "wonderful" I knew I wanted to create a card for a friend, so that it would say wonderful "friend"!  No problem as the Sweet As Honey stamp set has the "friend" sentiment in it!!
It's so awesome to be able to mix and match sets!  Creates so many more possibilities!!

It's as if the friend was meant to go with the wonderful sentiment as it fits perfectly under the "ful" part of the sentiment!!

I also really liked the "swirl" in the Sweet As Honey stamp set, I thought it would be fun to use to create some more interest on my pattern paper.
Fits right in!  Looks as though it was there!

Now for my finished card:
I just LOVE how it turned out!  Such fun colors!!

The beautiful floral image is from the Not Too Shabby stamp set!
All these sets work so beautifully together!!

You are Loved Shaker with Honey Bee Scraps

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Scraps Blog!!

With my project today, by request, I am also sharing how I create my fun shaker cards!!

Start by collecting some supplies:
Stamp Set(s) - Beautiful Life
Ink
Paper
Dies of Your Choice
Sequins
Ink
Foam Tape
Clear Acetate

Start by die cutting a shape on your main piece of paper, this will be the "hole" in which you will see the sequins and design under.

I also enjoy creating frames for my shaker cards, to put on the front of the layer.  So I line up the same size die I used above and one a size larger.

Stamp your the front of your card as you wish, or you can use a patterned piece of paper.

I wanted to use the fun hearts in the new Beautiful Life set!
Aren't they fun?!
I love that you can layer them, if you wish!

Line up your bottom layer, so you are able to stamp a sentiment if you wish.

Add clear acetate to the back side of your stamped layer, so that you cover the die cut "hole" you created.

Add the foam tape to create your shaker!
Then add sequins and combine your two layers!!

Here is my final Project Life card:
I LOVE how it turned out!!!

I also LOVE the new Beautiful Life stamp set!!!

Shake it up!!
Super fun!! And super easy to create!!
Happy Stamping!!

Smile with Honey Bee Scraps

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Scraps Blog!!

Here's a look at my starting process:
1

I thought it would be fun to create my own background for my card!

So I picked some of my favorite inks and my current favorite stencil!
2
Isn't it pretty?!

I then put it on my cutting mat for my Cameo and cut out the card base.  I used the "smile" sentiment from the Just Smile svg file!

My finished project life card:
I love how fun and bright it is!!

Close-up of the sentiment I created:
I used the "Love" masked from the "This is what Love looks like" sentiment from the Oh, Snap stamp set, as well as the cute heart grouping!  And the "this" is part of the Life Right Now stamp set!!

I thought this would be a fun sentiment to create for this project life card to use on a page of my daughter smiling!  As I just love her beautiful smile!!

I also used a fun heart flair button from The Crafty Pickle!!
Happy Stamping!!

Bordered Sentiment with Honey Bee Scraps

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Scraps Blog!!

I am going to show you a little bit of my process for this card!

I love the Bordered Sentiment Technique, so I thought it would be fun to share it with you as well.

First, start by grabbing some supplies:
Stamps
Cardstock Base
Inks
Scrap Piece of Printer Paper (Mine was 1" in height, as you want it to be slightly bigger then your sentiment you are going to use)
Painter's Tape

----------------
Are you ready?!

Start by first decided where you would like your sentiment to go, lay your scrap piece of paper down and put painter's tape in place so the cardstock base doesn't move on you.

You can then decided what image you would like to use to create your border.  I decided to use the beautiful floral image from the Not Too Shabby stamp set!

As you can see, I decided to work with a few different shades of pink to give it some dimension.  It is totally up to you how many colors you would like to use.

Stamp your sentiment.

You can now either just leave it as is, or add a nice little touch, which I usually like to do, by scoring two lines to make the border more defined.

Or you can use a fine marker to create lines, which I did in this case:

Now you are ready to finish up your card!!
----------------

Here is my finished card:
I love how it turned out!!

The "hello" sentiment I used is part of the Life Right Now set!!
I love all the layers of flowers!!
