Treasure Hunt Thursday........ on Friday

I do have a good excuse though, lol, I was busy busy busy getting two additional prizes ready for my giveaway yesterday. And writing out lots of names. And doing the draw. All very exciting and I forgot all about photographing some bits for the Treasure Hunt.

Treasure hunting didn't go very well last weekend. It had been raining for days, so the boot sales were all cancelled, as the fields they are held in were too soggy. The only treasure hunting I got to do was a little garage sale on Saturday. Actually in the garage, not in the garden or on the pavement, because, yes you guessed, it was raining.

It turned out to be not too shabby, because I managed to find this beautifully decorated very old chamberpot -

I love the beautiful Victorian design and that gorgeous deep green.

I also found a French salt cellar, that was a real surprise, you don't usually come across them here -

It is a very heavy quality piece and in remarkably good condition.

And I found some nice linens! Woohoo! -

Oh, and also got these dinky tiny little cookie cutters there -

The best find for me, however, was a good length of this beautiful antique lace, it is ever so fine and delicate, and so soft -

I am hoping for better weather this weekend, fingers crossed. Can't go too long with a boot sale, lol, I'll get withdrawal symptoms!

I am linking this post to Treasure Hunt Thursday No. 12 over at Blue Creek Home!

Have a lovely weekend, toodlepip xxx

That's a great haul, Liz (deja vu, saying that, of course!) And the strip of lave is Valenciennes, I think - very nice.
