Thanks a bunch!

Hello there!! It's been  a long time since I've posted a card!  This is a thank you car that I recently made for my aunty!  I've been having fun making this style of card, it is very simple but I love it!!

This is the card all put together.

This is the card, I wrote my personal message on the back of this card.

I folded an accent piece of card stock

I added the sentiment to the "band" part of the card

The assembly of this card is very simple.  It is basically 3 pieces.  You will need 1 card as your main card, add some die cuts, stickers, draw a picture, whatever your heart desires.  Get a smaller piece of paper and cut it down to at least half of the first piece. Make sure that it's the same width as your main card.  Fold it in half, slip the main card inside the card that you just folded.  Now for the last piece, since it is just an accent, it can just be a strip since it is just an accent.  Wrap it around the entire width of the card.  This piece holds the card together.  You can leave it as it is, or decorate it  like I did.  It will also look cute, with a ribbon or tulle tied around it as well.  You can also add more cards if you'd like.  This design is great for invitations as well.

To make this card I used the cricut walk in my garden cartridge, and butterfly punch.

I hope you like it!
Cheers!

Oh Christmas Tree!

This weeks challenge, we have awesome sponsors!

This weeks challenge is anything but a card! Please join in on all the fun! There are a lot of projects that can be made with this theme, so start crafting!!

With the holidays coming so quickly, I decided to share a Christmas tree.  Every year my mom makes these for people, and the last couple of years I have tried my hand at this too.  I have to admit that hers are way better than mine.  I will continue to share trees as the season progresses.

This tree is all red and gold, there are ornaments, flowers, ting tings, lights, birds, berries and pine cones all throughout the tree.  It is set in a decorative pot, and is very sturdy.  These trees last years, and are great for decoration, or even gifts!

Dragon Thanks You

This weeks challenge is everyone's fav! Anything goes!!  Join in on all the fun!

We have 3 great sponsors this week!

For this challenge, I decided to enter a Thank You card that I recently made for my dad's birthday party.  Since it's the year of the Dragon, I went with that theme!  All of the images were made with the cricut.  I cut the bonsai tree as the background image, I brushed it with black ink on the edges to kinda look like smoke or mist.  I wanted the dragon to be the main focus of the card, but not make it so harsh looking, so I inked it with gold to look more regal than scary.  I used the thick double-sided tape to pop it up a little.  Lastly I added some sakura or cherry blossoms in different sizes to add some serenity to the card.

If anyone is interested in becoming a member of Tuesday Alchemy, please let me know and I can direct you to our leader Corrinne!

Hello Kitty Folder

This week we have 2 great sponsors:

Be sure to check out their sites for all their goodness!!

I decided to make one of my folders for this challenge!  Of course it's Hello Kitty!  I used a mead folder for this project, it is very durable, inexpensive and has a lot of pockets!  I used the My Little Twin Stars paper tape and ran it across the folder from end to end creating a stripped look.  I made the Hello Kitty head with my big shot in coordinating colors, light blue and brown.  This color combo is great for someone who likes Hello Kitty, but not really girly or that into pink.  A very simple project, and a great way to add some excitement to a regular folder.

Peace. Love. Happiness.

This week we have 2 great sponsors, that means that there will be 2 winners!  Be sure to check them both out!

The theme of this weeks challenge is PEACE, LOVE & HAPPINESS.  This challenge is in honor of international peace day, which is coming up on September 21.  I think it's also a great idea to promote Peace, Love & Happiness today September 11.

I made a daisy shaped card, using the Hello Kitty cricut cartridge.  To me a daisy represents these 3 words.   I layered it in a light green polka dot background, yellow for the flower petals, and green for the stem and leaves.  I wrote out the words to give it a more easy feeling.

This is the front of the card

It opens up, like a regular card

Here is the inside of the card

Never Forget

I would like to take a moment out to recognize all that were lost on this day 11 years ago.  You will never be forgotten.  You will forever be in all of our hearts.

Imagine
John Lennon
  Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Bandit the Raccoon

Bandit the Raccoon!
He's stealing ♥hearts♥everywhere he goes!
I made this card using the raccoon from the create a critter cricut cartridge.  The talking bubble I found in a box of things that I cut a while back.  Since I have so much scrap pieces of paper, I have been using it for punches and punched out a bunch of hearts.  The ribbon is left over from a banner that I made.  Since there is no word sentiment, this can be an all occasion card.

**Check out all these blogs! Awesome creations by all!

Frankie Froggy

Made this birthday tag with Frankie froggy! Doesn't he just make you wanna smile back at him?!  I've been making good use of this tiny butterfly punch, using up all my scrap pieces.  I love how the colors came together!  All these pieces were previously cut from other projects and I had them stored in a box.  As I was fishing through them, I pulled these colors out and they worked with Frankie so I put it all together!  Don't you love when things just happen like that?! ♥
