3 sisters birthday

Happy hump day! (insert camel voice)...Can you believe it 2 posts in 1 week?! haha! I recently had the pleasure of making these for a 3 sisters birthday party!  It was a bit of an asian theme, so this is what I came up with.  Let me just say that I love this box!! Don't be surprised if you start seeing it a lot more soon!  It is very easy to make, and does save a lot of paper.  This die cut is from sizzix, it is called the scalloped gable! The scalloped tag is part of the die cut, so that is a major bonus!  I found this stamp with 3 asian sisters, I stamped it on the tags and colored them for some fun.  There is chichi dango mochi in the boxes, and I tied them with pretty ribbons!

This was part of the party decor!  I cut out sakura flowers in all different sizes and paired different colors to make it pop! The origami cranes were actually supposed to be an entirely different idea, but with lack of time, I wasn't able to execute the plan.  I went to plan B with these pretty cranes, and just double stick taped them down to the flowers and plopped them to the tables for some extra decor!  It is a simple idea, but it really did make a difference of the overall look of the tables and the entire setup.  I am so happy with how it came out.

Cheers!

Lantern Decoration

OhhhMmmmGeee! I can't believe it's almost been 2 months since I've last blogged?! What the___??  In my last post I apologized for neglecting the blog and look what happened? I've been more absent than ever! Ugh!! I plan to do a summer post, even though it's already autumn! Eeek!!

I made this lantern at the end of the summer as part of a little project.  Just wanted to share.  Have you ever gone to craft or home decor stores and have seen paper/plastic outdoor lanterns on sale for super cheap, and thought to your self that it's so cute, but what are you gonna do with it?? Well I've got some ideas for you!  I myself, LOVE lanterns!! So, of course I am always buying lanterns whenever I see a good deal.  I can't resist!
These particular lanterns are paper and were very inexpensive.  I also got the cherry blossom stalks for very little money too.

All I did was strategically glue the flowers in a swooping design from top to bottom.  It was very easy and very quick!  You can use this for party decorations or even to decorate a room.  If you want to personalize it, you can add a ribbon or tassel to the bottom of the ribbon, then add a name or picture the the ribbon.  You can add the light bulb to the inside or just use it as is.  String it up, and enjoy!!

Cheers!♥

Dragon Thanks You

This weeks challenge is everyone's fav! Anything goes!!  Join in on all the fun!

We have 3 great sponsors this week!

For this challenge, I decided to enter a Thank You card that I recently made for my dad's birthday party.  Since it's the year of the Dragon, I went with that theme!  All of the images were made with the cricut.  I cut the bonsai tree as the background image, I brushed it with black ink on the edges to kinda look like smoke or mist.  I wanted the dragon to be the main focus of the card, but not make it so harsh looking, so I inked it with gold to look more regal than scary.  I used the thick double-sided tape to pop it up a little.  Lastly I added some sakura or cherry blossoms in different sizes to add some serenity to the card.

This week's challenge is Anything Goes! These are always fun, because the world is your oyster and you're open to do anything you want.  I embossed this card with a Sakura( Cherry Blossom) design, then I stamped the Japanese girl and cut colored her, and cut her out.  She's sweet and simple!  There are a lot of different things going on in this weeks challenge.
