Now I have warned you that this will be a really long post, so you can go get a cuppa now and get yourself comfy before you read this ;) lol
I have loads of DT stuff to show and also a bit of news to tell, so I will get started!
First of all my bit of news is that I have been asked to join the design team at Bella Designs Studio.
You have got to check out these new digi's, they are so sweet, and we will have challenges every week as well over at the challenge blog, so check back next week to see our first challenge!
I will be showing some cards made with the sweet images soon but for now I will get on with showing you the rest of my DT stuff because there is loads!
The new challenge is up at By The Cute and Girly and this months challenge is hosted by Debs who has chose the theme " something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue".
You could go for the obvious wedding theme, or use the colour blue, something old or new from your stash, a technique that is new to you or an idea you have "borrowed" from someone elses blog (with their permission of course).
There is just so much you could do for this challenge and I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
As always we have some great prizes to be won and you can enter with any type of craft.
My first thinsg to show is a card which is also my Fred She Said dt card.
I used the colour blue and also the image is a new one from FSS. I used this image not long ago but I love it so just had to use it again ;)
This is Emma Blowing Bubbles and I have coloured her with Promarkers. She is also now available pre coloured for anyone who doesn't like colouring or if you need to make a card quick, the precoloured images are great, just print and go :)
I won't bother doing the "recipe" bit for papers and embelishments etc today because I woud never get the post finished lol, but if you would like to know details of anything I have used, just drop me an email and I will get back to you with any info :)
My next project for By The Cute and Girly is a door plaque. It has a bit on the back to hang it up but you can't see that in the pic.
The great image is from In Style Stamps and again is coloured with Promarkers. I love these manga style images, they are so nice to colour.
The actual plaque is made from mountboard (which I still have loads of, but I am starting to use it up lol).
I was going to put my girls names on this but both their names wouldn't fit so I just wrote girls room lol.
I have used blue paper and also the image is new to me and it's for a new bedroom lol.
My final project for By The Cute and Girly is some scrapbook pages. Now I have never ever done any scrapping before so this was quite a task for me!
A lady at my Daughter's school had bought a 12x12 album to give to her Daughter who is expecting her first baby in a few weeks, and she asked me if I would decorate the pages so she just had to add the photos and little keepsake bits after the baby was born.
She wanted it kept simple and not much embelishments and I found it really difficult to keep it simple but she did give me all the stickers and papers that came with the album so I could use those, which added a bit of decoration. Still a bit plain for me, but I'm sure they will look better when the cute baby pics are added :)
I just used the papers and a few stickers from the kit and some punched flowers with gems for this one. I wanted to leave enough space on each page so she can add all her photos as well as her own little touches :)
Again just very plain and I only used the stickers and papers from the kit.
And the final one I just added some ribbon from my stash.
I still have loads of pages to do and I will show them as I finish them, but I think after this album is finished, that will be the end of my scrapping days lol.
Now over at Digital Tuesday this weeks challenge is being sponsored by In Style Stamps, who are offering the winner 4 of their fab digi stamps, and they also gave the design team an image each to play with.
It's Shelly's turn to host the challenge this week and for her challenge theme she chose "Let's Get Trendy", she wants to see all the different trends.
Now I must admit that I had no idea where I was going with this challenge, but after I had a look at the images at In Style Stamps, I found Bella and thought she would be perfect for a 60's trend, so here's what I came up with.
I thought the spotty and floral papers were perfect for the 60's theme.
I tried something new with the flowers on this one, instead of just sticking them down on the card, I used the stalks on them to wrap them around the ribbon so they would stand up as these roses don't stick on cards very well as they are more like rose buds than the normal roses I use. I think I like them like this though :)
Right I promise that's all I have to show for now lol, but I have got a card made with a Bella Designs image so I may be back later with that ;)
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can join in with the challenges.
Hugs
