Fred She Said DT card

Sorry I've been a bit irregular with my posts lately, I won't bore you and go into details why I haven't been posting much but I promise I should be back to normal soon :)
This will be a quick post though because it's bedtime and I am so tired!

Here's a DT card I made for Fred She Said.

The sweet image is obviously from Fred She Said. Have I ever told you that I love all the Emma images? I think I just might have one or two times lol. They are just so sweet :)
The pink stripey paper is by Papermania and the other is from a pad of papers I got free in a magazine.
Emma has been coloured with Promarkers, the flower is from John Lewis and the ribbon is from my stash.

See told you it would be a quick post!
I'm off to bed now but I have loads to show you tomorrow and a little bit of news too :)

Hugs

Digital Tuesday DT card

This week over at Digital Tuesday it's Sandy's turn to host the challenge and she chose "Cute People" as the theme. Well that was an easy one for me because my favourite images are cutie ones. Would of been much easier if my mojo decided to come back and play but unfortunately it is on holiday.......again!
Our sponsor this week is My Grafico and they gave the design team a set from Dilek Digital Studio
called "Dilek Sweety Girl" to play with, which you can find here in My Grafico's store.
The prize is 1 set from My Grafico (winner choice from all their Digital Stamp sets) and 30% off an order.

So here's what I did.

There are 3 cute little girls in the set but I chose to use this one because she reminds me of my two little girls lol. The sentiment is a freebie from My Grafico.
I coloured her with Promarkers, the papers are Papermania and the roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The panel she is stuck on is a Sizzix die cut which I cut from mount board. It cuts in two parts, the rectangle and the scallops around it, so I covered the rectangle with paper just so it wasn't so plain.
It looks flat here but in real life, the panel sticks out because it is cut from mount board instead of just card.
I got a huge lot of mount board from a woman who's husband makes picture frames and always has bits left over but I had no idea what to do with it because I have a Cuttlebug and the dies for it don't cut through the mountboard, but I teach a craft class at the kids school (for adults) and my Daughter's teacher let me borrow her Sizzix die cutting machine to use for the class and the original thick dies cut it easily, so now I have loads of mountboard shapes :)
Now I will have to think of ways to use them all lol.

I have been busy these last few days with DT cards and the school fair is on the 19th June so I have been busy making things for that as well. I have kind of ran out of ideas for things to make at my craft club to sell at the fair, so if anyone has any ideas what we could make, please let me know!
We have very limited supplies so can't make anything that we would need to buy loads of stuff for but if anyone has any ideas of things we can make with basic supplies, that would be great :) Or if anyone happens to know where I can get loads of craft supplies for free that would be even better lol......ok I know that's very unlikely lol, but your ideas would be gratefully received :)

Fred She Said DT card and a missed challenge

I just found two cards I made last week that I haven't posted. One was for the Whiff Of Joy challenge which I have missed! Nothing new there then lol, and the other is one of my DT cards for Fred She Said.

Sorry about the pics (again!), I took them at night so they didn't turn out very good.
I have used the Emma The Mermaid and Friends set which is an old set but still one of my favourites.
I coloured everything with Promarkers, but my Daughter Rhianna obviously didn't like my colouring, because when I was out of the room, she coloured over some of the bucket with green! I wasn't colouring it all again so I just went over it with blue again lol. And I have added a gem on Emma's top to hide another green spot which my lovely Daughter also did!
I didn't use any patterned papers on this one (shock horror!!), just some shimmery blue cardstock and some ribbon from my stash which I added a few gems to.

For this one I followed the sketch from last weeks Whiff Of Joy challenge.
The papers are K&Co and I used a fiskers border punch for the scallops. The image was coloured with Promarkers. The scallopd oval was cut freehand so is a bit wonky lol. I stamped some little flourishes on it with a little clear stamp but I can't remember who makes it.
The lace is from my stash, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearl sprays are from a local florsit warehouse.
I also inked everything with distress ink.

I'm off to get another DT card done and I might even get one made for a challenge and remember to post it in time!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Digital Tuesday DT card on a Wednesday!

I was so busy yesterday that I forgot to post my dt card for Digital Tuesday! Oh well better late than never I suppose.
It's past midnight and I am really tired, so I will add link to this post tomorrow when I am more awake! lol.
This week the challenge is to use vellum and our sponsor is Digital Stamp Oasis.
I used to use vellum on my cards when I first started cardmaking but it's something that I never use now, so I had to have a good look in my stash for some and luckily I found a sheet of vellum with little glittery spots on it.

Sorry about the pic, I took it at night so there wasn't much light.
I followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers for this one.
The image I have used is from Stitchy Stamps and I coloured it with Promarkers.
The papers are a mix. The yellow is Chatterbox, the black, white and grey paper is Basic Grey and I'm not sure about the other black one because it was just a little scrap I had left with no name on it.
For the vellum I cut out a scalloped circle with my nesties and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder but then I decided that you couldn't see it very well so I would make some vellum flowers too, but I ended up covering most of the circle with the flowers lol.
I used a Stampin Up punch for the flowers and added a little rose from Wild Orchid Crafts in the middle, and the ribbon is from my local haberdashery.

I'm off to bed now because I am falling asleep while writing this post lol.

Thanks for stopping by

Digital Tuesday DT card

I have been such a bad blogger lately and haven't posted for well over a week!! My mojo has just vanished and I hadn't made a card for about 2 weeks until I made my dt card yesterday but hopefully it will come back soon and I can get back to making cards and blogging :)
Anyway the challenge over at Digital Tuesday this week is hosted my the lovely Maria and she wants us to make her laugh.
Dustin Pike is sponsoring us again this week and as always he is giving away 3 of his digi's.
Now I have never been any good at "funny" cards and I don't have much images I could use for this kind of card either, but I gave it a go anyway.

The image I used is from Stitchy Stamps and I coloured it with Promarkers. The purple dp is by Chatterbox but I am not sure about the blue dp. The blue flowers are just handmade from shimmery cardstock, the purple ones are punched with a Dovecraft Punch and the roses in the middle are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I sprayed them all with Glimmer Mist then added some purple stickles for some more sparkle. The sentiment is from Fred She Said and it comes in the Empty Pockets Shrugger Set.

And speaking of Fred She Said, have you seen the new Emma that has just been released? I have her printed and will hopefully get her on a card in the next few days, but you can see her at the FSS store blog. She really is a cutie :)

Well I'm off to catch up with some dt stuff since I have loads to do!
Hope you are all having a fab day and have better weather than the rain we have had here all day!

By The Cute and Girly DT makes

It's the start of a new challenge over at By The Cute and Girly.
This month it's Ayelet's turn to host the challenge and she has chose the theme "Celebrations", so really you could do somehting for any occasion :)
We have 4 sponsors this month which means 4 prizes to win! And one of our sponsors this month Stitchy Stamps gave us some of her digital images to play with.

So here's what I made for this month's challenge.

I used Stitchy Stamps Lil Behind image for this one, isn't she a sweetie? I love how her bum is sticking out lol. I coloured her with Promarkers and matted her on a scalloped rectangle which I just cut freehand as I don't have a die that shape. The spotty paper is Papermania and the other is Kaisercraft as is the scalloped mat which is the reverse side of my base paper. All the flowers and the pin are from Wild Orchid Crafts and lace is from my local haberdashery ( love that place lol).

And here's a close up of this cheeky little one :)

I'm having a problem with the Promarkers bleeding a lot when I use digital images. I have been using the same paper that I used with my Copics and it never bled with the Copics.......so if anyone has any suggestions what to use with the Promarkers, please let me know as I use a lot of digi's so need to find paper that works well with the markers.

I used a Sugar Nellie image for this one which I got in a rak a few months back.
I'm not sure about the papers on this one as they are more that I got from Debs (thanks again hun).
The blue cardstock is a bit shimmery but you can't really see that here.
The large flower was one that was lurking in my stash and the other is a Prima, spacer and ribbon are from my stash.

I have had a template for making these for forever but have never made them before, so wasn't sure how they would turn out, but I think they are quite cute and I might just make some more sometime :)
The paper I used is actualy lilac but it looks blue here, hence why I used purple pearls. Again I'm not sure who makes the paper and the trim was at the bottom of my ribbon box so no idea where that came from. For some reason it looks as though the trim is pink in places but it is cream irl.....weird lol.
This is actualy the girly version of these booties but I think you could get away with using them for a boy too. The boy version has laces instead of the strap, so I really should of made those since I made a blue baby card lol, but never mind, I can make those another day :)

Well that's what I did, now it's your turn! You can make anything you like as long as it fits the theme and you can enter as much times as you want throughout the month as long as every entry is a different craft. ie 1 card, 1 layout, 1 jewelry item, 1 knitted item, 1 altered item etc etc.
Think of how many times you could enter and all those chances you could have to win one of the prizes! :)
So what you waiting for? Get yourself over to the challenge blog and check out what the rest of the girls have done. There is so much variety again this month, that there is no way you will leave there without being inspired :)

Thanks for stopping by today

Fred She Said DT card

It's late here so gonna make this post short.
I made this card a while ago and just realsied that I hadn't posted it, so thought I'd better get it posted since it is one of my April DT cards!!

I have used Emma with Frills and for a change I didn't colour her pink!
I got the paper free in a magazine and it's not a colour that I use very often although I do like it, so thought I would use it up :)
Emma is coloured with Promarkers, and the frame around her is a Sizzix die cut. The ribbon is from my local haberdashery and the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.
Not much else to say about this card, so it really will be a short post lol.
This image is one of the older ones (well it's not really old but you know what I mean, there has been more Emma images released after this one), but it is still one of my favourites.

If you haven't entered the FSS challenge yet, you still have loasd of time to do so :) The challenge this month is to make a 3d item for a loved one and the prize is $20 to spend in the FSS store!!
I am way too tired to put links in this post , but if you want to visit the FSS store, you can use the link in  my sidebar :)
