Advent Calendar Window #24

Hi Everyone,
It's Sandy here with the final window in the LLC Advent Calendar.

I hope you've all enjoyed the Advent Calendar; the Design Team members and myself certainly have enjoyed "Spreading the Joy of Christmas"!!! The Design Team is now taking a well deserved break, to spend time with their friends and families, but we'll be back on January 1st with a brand new challenge.

If you get some crafty time during the holidays, why not enter our December challenge?
The theme is "Anything but a Card" and the challenge stays open until midnight at New Year's Eve.

Speaking of open...the LLC store will be open over Christmas and New Year's.
Please note though that due to the UK Bank Holidays, no orders will ship on Dec, 25th and Dec, 26th.
On Dec 27th and Dec 28th it's business as usual, however orders placed after 3 PM on Friday, Dec 28th will not ship until Wednesday, January 2nd.

So, the final and grand prize of the LLC 2012 Advent Calendar is Maja Design's 6x6 Paper Pad "It's Christmas Time". The winner will be drawn on New Year's Eve morning.

I do appreciate it'll be too late to use the papers for this year's Christmas projects, but last time I checked Christmas was scheduled on the same dates next year...  Besides, many of these papers can be used for projects all year around!!!

You might recalll that about a week ago I made a rosette decoration, and whilst I was looking for tutorials, I stumbled upon a rosette tree tutorial, which I thought was pretty cool, so that's what I've done today:
The papers used for this project are of course from Maja Design's "It's Christmas Time" collection, however I've used the following 12x12 papers: Merry (x2) The Perfect Christmas Tree (x2), Joyful, Christmas Market, and Christmas Baubles.

The top star is a wooden button from Prima's buttons set "Romance Novel". I glued the star onto a steel wire, which I wrapped natural jute twine around. The gold threads wrapped around the star pole and hanging down over three are from Maya Road's Shine Gold Twine Cording.

Here's a pic from a bird perspective:

...and here with some cute gnomes: :-)

WINNER WINDOW #22
The randomly drawn winner, who will recieve four different colours of the Melissa Frances Pom Pom Trim is ....Vanja.
Congrats Vanja, please e-mail me, Sandy, your address!

Now nothing more remains for me, than to wish you all...

...and a Crafty New Year!!!

Hugz,
Sandy

Advent Calendar Window #23

Good morning LLC followers and friends!

It's time to open window #23 of our LLC Advent Calendar, only one more day to go!

Behind window #23 is....

(drum roll please....)

♥♥♥

♥♥

You know I am a "Mangolia- addict", so I'm happy to tell you it's

one of my favorite Magnolia background stamps...

It's perfect for masking with one of the many sitting Magnolia Tildas (or Edwins), and you can use it both for your summer and winter stamps!

For a chance to win this beauty, all you have to do to is:
1) Become a follower of this blog if you're not already
2) Post our Advent Blinkie in your Blog Sidebar. The html code can be found here.
3) Leave a comment on the blog post with your thoughts on the project.

Here is my inspiration for you:
I made the box with my score-pal. The papers are from the Maja Design It's Christmas time Collection, I used sheets from the 6x6 paper pad.
All the edges are distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink- walnut stain.  I masked the Magnolia Swing stamp with an older sitting Tilda image. The images are colored with copic markers.

I added white Shabby Seam Binding on the sides and as a bow. The flowers are white Chrysanthemums and the cream berries from  Kort og Godt. The red berries are the Redly Magnolia Vintage Berries. The pins I used (oh I love those pins!) are the  Vintage Pearl PinsThe Vintage Trinklet Heart Pins and the Trinket Mini Heart Pins by Maya Road and I also used cheese cloth. The pearls are a piece of the Pearl Spray.

For the diecut I used Pion papers (Guardian Angel) and a spellbinder die.

This was my final project in the Advent Calendar,
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas- time!
crafty hugs,
Elizabeth

Advent Calendar Window #22

Hi Everyone,
It's Sandy here with Window 22. Only two/three days left to go now? Are you ready? Have you wrapped all your gifts, cooked all the food, baked all the cookies, cleaned and decorated the house???
I haven't done anything of that yet, but at least with this card, I'm done with the Christmas cards. :-)
So I decided to do something a little bit different and went with a shaped card. The snowglobe card template I found over at the Silhouette store. Yup I've gotten myself a new toy :-), but we're not exactly at good terms right now, Cameo and I. :-( If you're interested, you can read more about it here on my blog.

So, today's candy consists of these four different colours of the Melissa Frances Pom Pom Trim.
The pom pom trim is one of my favourite trims. They add such charms and cuteness to all craft projects. I like all colours, especially the white one for Christmas projects.

By now, I'm sure you're familiar with how this goes, but just in case you have just found your way over here...for your chance of winning today's prize, please do the following:
1) Become a follower of this blog if you're not already
2) Post our Advent Blinkie in your Blog Sidebar. The html code can be found here.
3) Leave a comment on the blog post with your thoughts on the project
The lace that I've draped around the globe is DT Member Elin's favourite, "Lace Camille".
The largest circle I cut from Maja Design's I Believe, then there's the white pom pom trim, followed by the circle with music notes, which is Maja Design's 1899. The red ornament paper is from Inkido's Forever Santa 6x6 No.3, then the smallest circle I cut from Maja Design's Oat Cookies sheet.
Lastly the image is from Pion Design's Fairytale of Winter.
At the bottom of the card, I used another Maja Design paper, Garlands.
I tied two bows with the "Winter White" Shabby Seam Binding and attached a jingle bell and a G-Clef charm. Finally the roses at the bottom, are Kort & Godt's cream coloured rolled roses, and I attached  Melissa Frances pearls to the centres. Also the pearls around the image are from Melissa Frances.

 Now, the randomly drawn winner of the Maya Road and Tim Holtz hangers is Clare/Distressed Miss;
"Oh Elin these little hangers are so cute and your project shows them off perfectly. But also how fab for Valentines cards. Thanks for sharing Big Hugs Clare xx"
Congrats Clare, please e-mail me, Sandy, your address!

For your chance of winning 3 skeins of LLC's own Shabby Seam Binding, please leave a comment on Karita's project here.

Enjoy your Saturday; now I'm off to do some cleaning and decorating and all that other stuff I mentioned above.... Wish me luck... :-)
Hugz,
Sandy

Advent Calendar Window # 21

Good Morning Everyone,
Karita here with you and it´s time to open a new window in LLC´s Advent Calendar :)
Today´s candy is LLC's own Shabby Seam Binding, available in nine different colours.
The prize is 3 colours of the winner's choice, how great is that!?!?!

And here´s my project for today...
After a long time I have made an envelope card again.
A few years back I used to make these often. I just loved making these since they are fast to make and they are very beautiful too. But without any particular reason, I stopped making them... what a pity..
The beautiful paper that I used here is Kladdkaka from Maja Design's "Shall we have Coffee?" collection.
I also used one gorgeous white Magnolia Shabby Chic Tulle Rose and a few white Poppies and the Rhinestones Lace.
And here´s a close up of the Winter White Shabby Seam Binding.
I´ve just noticed that almost all the embellishments I used are white.... ;)
Favourite colour perhaps ;)

Thank you for stopping by.
I´m wishing you a lovely weekend and very Merry Christmas and Happy New 2013! :)

Hugs, Karita

Advent Calendar Window # 20

I'ts Thursday again, and it's day 20 in the LLC calendar!
So if you haven't already won some candy, here's another chance... and even if you've already won something, you might get lucky again like some of the participants did!  :D
Elin here with you today, posting a project containing the amazing Love Hanger from Maya Road:

Ain't these gorgeous? Todays prize is a what you see in this picture: 5 Maya Road Love Hangers and a pack of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Hanger Clips. These can be used in just about any project. They are so cute to "hang" stuff from, as I have done on my gift tag underneath. Or you can combine them with flowers, laces or charms. Here's what I did:

I made a gift tag for a Christmas present using the following products:
Leftover piece from Maja Design's Sparkle and "Julefried which is to be found in the It's Christmas Time 6x6 paper pad. The Santa picture and the "Joyful Noel" circle is from the Die Cut Sheet. I used Gesso to add some "snow" feeling, and the adorable Rhinestone Lace I just had to include as well. I also added some Cheese Cloth underneath the roses, and some gorgeous Magnolia Vintage Berries.
Above is a closeup of the sweet Maya Road Love Hanger, which I have given a coat of gesso. Underneath you can see my gift tag placed on my Christmas gift. A bit on the large side you might think, but I wanted space for some handwriting on the back ;)

For your chance of winning todays price, please do the following:
1) Become a follower of this blog if you're not already
2) Post our Advent Blinkie in your Blog Sidebar. The html code can be found here.
3) Leave a comment on the blog post with your thoughts on the project.

I'm still stuck firmly in my purple phase, and these papers from Maja Design are perfect, I've used Two Ladies and At My Place from Shall We Have Coffee? and the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain.

I've used the gorgeous Berries Pins, the roses are from my stash and I've also used cream chrysanthemums from Kort og Godt. The pearls are from Melissa Frances, and I've used the new Greta Garbo lace. I've tucked a So Wrapped Lovely Heart Tag behind and added some Plum Sorbet Shabby Seam Binding and white just twine with big love charm.

Advent Calendar Window #15

Sandy here with window 15, but before we get on with that, I’d like to take a brief moment to extend my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to our American followers reading this post. I’m deeply saddened by the horrific tragedy that took place in Connecticut yesterday and my thoughts at this time are with the innocent victims and their families & friends.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Last Saturday I showed you one of my favourite products from Ranger's Idea-ology range (the film strip) and for today's project I've used another one, an Adage Sentiment Ticket. This book contains 96 tickets with inspiring words such as Wish, Love, Hope, and Dream.

For a change, I did not make a card, but actually a decoration.

The base is a Rosette flower, that I made out of the beautiful sheet "Ornament" from Pion Design's Studio of Memories Collection. There are loads of great tutorials out there for how to make rosette flowers, but I thought I'd just mention that this one is approx. 17 cm in diameter and for that I cut three stripes measuring 3 inches in width (before punching them with the MS Doily Flower Punch) and 12 inches in length.

Around the image I draped Maya Road's Tulle Pleat Trim and then the Pearl String with 2mm pearls.
Some more pearls on the image, using Ranger's "White Opal" Liquid Pearls. The image by the way is one of Elizabeth Bell's Digis, called "the Littlest Angel". The sentiment ticket was attached with a wooden mini clothes pin, that I painted white with Acrylic Paint. For decoration I've used two Poppies, and one bundle of Magnolia's Blue Vintage Berries. I draped some of the "Sky Blue" Shabby Seam Binding around the stems, and tied a bow with it. Lastly I also attached a Trumpet Charm.

For your chance of winning, the Book of Adage Tickets, please do the following:

1) Become a follower of this blog if you're not already
2) Post our Advent Blinkie in your Blog Sidebar. The html code can be found here.
3) Leave a comment on the blog post with your thoughts on the project.

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again tomorrow for window 16, which will be opened by Becky.

Hugz,
Sandy

WINNER WINDOW #13

"Oh wow this is beautiful, I adore that gingham ribbon the heart and the lace is beautiful. hugs Teresa xx"
Congrats Teresa, please contact me, Sandy, to claim your prize.

There's still time to leave a comment on Karita's bonbon - I will draw the winner tomorrow morning!
