A Little House

The theme for the Stitching Between Friends group this round was "little Houses" and I chose this one for Conny. I heard from her that she received it and loved it! This is the last of the exchange pieces I had sent out recently and I am so glad it made it to Conny safely! I am actually a month early in sending it out as the mail date isn't until March 15.

"Welcome Home"  (freebie)
Designer: Prairie Schooler
28ct evenweave
DMC threads

I know I owe an update on MLQ but I haven't much progress from the last time I showed you. I did decide to frog the letter "B" and change the color of it. I think I am up to the last row in the alphabets so the next post I show you should be the finish!! Yeah!!  I've asked my DH to make a frame for it and he said he would. I told him what I had in mind and he said he had some ideas of his own lol So we shall see!

Welcome to my new followers! Thank You all for stopping by and for your wonderful comments!

Good Tidings To Angela & A Seasonal Exchange

Here is the exchange I sent to Angela in our Stitching Between Friends Group. She received it the other day so I can post a picture of it now.
I stitched "Good Tidings" by The Sampler Girl from the JCS 2011 Ornament Issue. This seems to be a very popular pattern this year! I stitched it on 28ct DMC linen with the DMC & WDW threads called for. I made the bow for it and added on some jingle bells which Angela says her cat likes LOL She had to put it where her cat couldn't get to it. I also added a holly button because I thought it needed something there. I am very happy Anglea loves what I made for her :)

I also heard from Lucie that she received the pin pillow I made for her in the Seasonal Exchange Autumn Round. I stitched this design for her  by Manka Minta. It is a freebie but when I went to post a link to you here it now say's the blog is open to invited readers only hmmmm. She must have just changed that. Oh well! I stitched it on 28ct DMC linen with the DMC colors called for. I am so happy Lucie liked what I sent to her!

Thank you all for your well wishes! I am finally feeling back to normal. I guess I had some kind of bug.

I hope all my friends in the USA had a nice Thanksgiving! Every year I say I am not going to eat too much and I do anyway lol  My desserts went over well and I even got a text message from my BIL on Friday saying that my Blueberry Crumb Pie was the BEST he has ever eaten! So that made me happy! I told him I will make it again sometime and he said GREAT ! :)  My MIL said she loved the Harvest Pumpkin Bars and asked for the recipe as she is going to make it for her Mahjong Group.

DH & I (mostly DH lol) worked on putting the Christmas Tree up yesterday. Now it just has to be decorated. I figure I will work on that a little today and tomorrow.  I can't wait to see all of the wonderful stitchy ornaments I have received this year and from previous years on there! They are almost outweighing the Disney ornaments from my Mom that I have :)  Good thing it is a 9ft tree and I have room. I think the tree is taking on a new theme!

Thank you all so much for stopping by and for all of your wonderful comments!
Hey! I just realized I have 100 followers!! I think it may be time for a giveaway! Stay tuned!

Have a great weekend!

Stitching Between Friends Exchange & Lk Exchange

A group of 6 stitcher's got together and formed the Stitching Between Friends group. Our first exchange was a Christmas themed one and I was partnered with Angela.
Yesterday I received this wonderful package from her and I was completely Wowed!!! Angela stitched a design for me from "Song Of the Season" by Prairie Schooler on 32ct Mushroom lugana with the DMC floss called for. Believe me when I say that the picture doesn't show how truly gorgeous this piece is!!! She also included a piece of the most beautiful Christmas fabric, a butterfly calendar and a couple of Christmasy nail files. She even wrapped it so beautifully ! There was a butterfly attached to the paper and I am going to glue a clip onto him and stick him on my tree.
Thank You so very much for this wonderful exchange Angela! It will be treasured for years to come!

Last Thursday I woke up feeling terrible! Every single muscle in my body hurt (more than usual) and I was pushing myself to get ready to take my DS to school. By the time I got home from dropping him off I started getting the chills. Next thing I knew I had 102F! All I kept thinking of was I didn't have time for this! DH happened to be home that day so he sent me to bed and that was pretty much where I stayed for 2 days. I didn't feel like eating or anything and although my temperature has been back to normal I still don't feel 100%. Not sure what that was all about as I had no other symptoms (ok slight nausea) but I am glad it is gone.

While I was sick I did receive my LK exchange from Line. Unfortunately the first exchange piece she sent me got lost in the mail so this was a replacement piece.
Line stitched "Cozy Christmas Wishes" for me and made it into this wonderful ornament! She used 32ct natural linen and both DMC and Nina's threads. She said this was only the 2nd time she had finished her stitching this way but you'd never know it!
Thank You so very much Line for this wonderful exchange! I can't wait to see it on my tree!

I did manage to start and finish an ornament for an exchange in 1 day while I wasn't feeling good. All of my exchange stitching is now done for the year! I just have to put a couple of things together then mail them off.  I say this every year but it never works out but I am going to TRY yet again to cut down on exchange stitching so I have more time to stitch some things for myself LOL  What can I say? I just love doing exchanges!

Well that's all from here today! I made a Cranberry Fruit Salad today and tomorrow I will be baking Blueberry Crumb Pie, Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Bars to bring to MIL's for Thanksgiving. Well actually DS is the only one who likes Pumpkin Pie so I may just leave that one here for him :)

Welcome to my new followers and Thank You all for stopping by!!
