Christmas Box Was Received

I hear from Faye that she received the Christmas box I sent her in the HOE exchange.
I stitched a part of the Mary Garry design "December" from her Seasonal Momento's 4 book. I used 28ct DMC linen and the DMC  threads called for. I also changed the design a little by adding a few more snowflakes around him than was charted. I added a snowflake button and a few little buttons as well. I used a pre-made paper mache box which I painted red and I lined the box with some decorative paper and trim.
I am so glad Faye loved it! I really enjoyed making this box for her and adding some goodies!

The stitching continues here. I am working on a few ornaments. One for my son's teacher and a few for me. I keep getting enabled by looking at all of your blogs lol I don't know what to start first!

Thank You so very much for stopping by! I truly enjoy reading your comments!

2 Exchanges I Sent Have Been Received

Last week I posted the lovely ornament I received from Kay. I heard from her that she received the ornament I sent her so now I can show it to you.
I stitched "Merry Christmas from Log Cabin Needleworks on 28ct DMC linen with the DMC colors called for in the design. I did however make a small change by replacing the stitched berries with seed beads.

Kay said she absolutely loves it and it has inspired her to try beading on her needlework :)

I also heard from  Lynn B that she received the Halloween Scissor Fob I sent to her for the HOE exchange. I stitched the little witch from Mary Garry's Seasonal Momentos 4 "October"  I stitched it on 28ct evenweave with the DMC threads called for in the design.  I found a package of these adorable pumpkin bells  in my buttons/charms box that I received from an exchange some time ago. I had forgotten I had them and just happened upon them and figured it would be perfect for Lynn's fob. It even jingles!

I am so glad that Lynn loved it! I really had fun making this for her.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
