Just before Halloween Lisa from The Primitive Needle was having a Witch giveaway on her blog. I so adored these witches which were made by Carmen and being my birthday is on Halloween I just had to have one! So I entered in the drawings she had and found out on my birthday that I was the lucky winner of one of them!
Serafina is her name and she flew all the way from Ohio to live here with me in Florida! When I opened the envelope both DH & DS said she looked just like me LOL (they will pay for that hehehe)
Thank You so very much Lisa for this wonderful giveaway!! I absolutely adore her and she will be a treasure to me :)
The picture of her on Lisa's blog is so much better than mine.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great weekend ;)

Prairie Schooler Sweeping Cobwebs & Anniversary
I heard from Sara this morning that she received the exchange I sent her for the PS Yahoogroup Halloween exchange. I was just thinking about it yesterday that she should have received it by now! I don't know why it takes so long when I send something to Italy! I sent this to Sara on October 22 and she just received it. Meanwhile I sent a couple of exchanges to The Netherlands a week or so after I sent out
Sara's and the other ladies received theirs with in a week. Go figure! Although the man at my Post Office did say Italy has a lot of restrictions in customs and showed me a very long list of what cannot be sent there from here.
Anyway I am so happy my pacakge arrived to her safely :)
I stitched a piece of the PS Sweeping Cobwebs pattern for her on 32ct lambswool linen using the DMC colors called for. I found a website which has wonderful fabric and thought this cobweb pattern was perfect for the backing. I can highly recommend them as I received my order in a couple of days. Everything was wrapped perfectly as well!
I really enjoyed making this for you Sara and I am so happy that you love the package I sent you!
Monday November 8th was our 10th wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast time flies! DH & I picked November 8th because it was the day we had our first date :) We got married at the Justice of the Peace and afterwards had a small reception at our favorite Chinese Buffet Restaurant. We had such a good time! The other night I was looking at the pictures my Father in Law took and couldn't believe how different both DH & I looked back then LOL
Thank you all for the wonderful comments you always leave :) I truly appreciate them!
Have a great day!!

Prairie Schooler Acorns & LK Thankful Sampler
I heard from Conny on the Seasonal Exchange blog that she received the Fall exchange piece I made for her! I chose one of the designs in the PS Acorn book. I thought this one just screamed fall!!I stitched it on 32ct lambswool linen and used the dmc colors called for. I followed the instructions in the book for making the acorn pillow and surprised myself that it came out so well! LOL It was very hard letting this one go so now I need to make another one for me :) The fabric in the background is what I used for the back.
I am so glad you loved it Conny! It was very fun to stitch and finish for you :)
I also heard from Michele who was my partner in the Lizzie Kate exchange that she received my exchange.
I stitched a part of Thankful Sampler for her. I used 28ct DMC linen and the sampler threads called for in the design. I didn't have the charm anymore so I added a pumpkin button by the fence. The fabric in the background is what I used for the back.
Michele- I am so glad you loved it! I really enjoyed stitching & finishing it for you :)
I wanted to mention that a few days ago a few of you received emails saying that there was a comment posted to my blog. That was my error and I quickly corrected it after I received a couple of emails. I am still trying to figure out how to do things on this blog. I completely misunderstood what they were asking for but now I know.
Sorry for any inconveinence or worry :) Thanks to those who let me know right away!
Thanks for all of your wonderful comments! I truly appreciate them and for you stopping by to visit!

Halloween Part 2 & Thank You!
Thank You all for the wonderful birthday wishes! They mean so much to me :)
As promised here are a few pictures of my DD & DS in their Halloween Costumes. My Ds went as the Grim Reaper and my DD went as Black Widow
Here are a few pictures of the pumpkins they carved. My DD did the Bride of Frankenstein and my DS did the ghost one.
DS really did a great job on his being it was really the first time he carved a pumpkin by himself! I asked him last night if he had a good time today and he said he did. Then he said his favorite part of Halloween is my birthday :) What a sweetie he is!
The weather here was perfect last night. It was in the mid to upper 70's . I remember trick or treating in New York when I was a kid and there were years we had to wear our winter coats over our costumes. What fun is that! At least here in Florida that isn't an issue. Although there have been a couple of years where it was too hot to wear a costume lol I guess you can't win!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate your visits :)
