Sunny Summer Exchange From Lindsay

I wanted to post this last night but we had our usual round of thunderstorms so I had to shut down the computer. One of the things you need to do down here in the lightening capital of the US lol

Yesterday afternoon I received this wonderful Summer exchange from Lindsay in the Holiday Exchanges group.
Lindsay stitched a sun from M Designs over 1 and made it into this lovely scissor fob for me! Now Lindsay didn't know this nor have I ever told anyone before now but I just have a thing for the sun & moon designs from M Designs. There is just something about them! I was so thrilled when I opened her package and saw it!
She used an adorable backing fabric  on her finishing , which by the way is fabulous! She said the fabric is Japanese which she picked up at a craft show. I LOVE it!

Lindsay also included some goodies in my package which included a beautiful scissor, an adorable notepad, a beaded flower key fob and a skein of DMC Secret Perfume lemon scented floss.
I have always admired those fancy scissors but have never treated myself to a pair. Now I have a pair!!! yeah!

Thank you so very much Lindsay for a wonderful exchange!!
I will treasure it always ;)

Exchanges I Sent

I was waiting to hear from my partners that they received the exchanges I have sent them so I could post them here.

For Teresa I stitched August from the Prairie Schooler BK 23 A Prairie Year 2. Teresa said she loved it! She also told me she really liked bee skeps so I chose well for her :) Yeah!! I loved stitching this one. Actually I love stitching PS designs in general lol

Michelle was my partner in the 4th of July exchange for the Holiday Exchanges group. I heard from her yesterday that she received it and she loved it!
I stitched American Girl by Brightneedle which is in their book called Small Samplings for her and made it into a pinkeep.  I used 28ct Antique Ivory linen and the DMC & the GAST  threads called for in the design.  I really had a lot of fun stitching this for her.

Thank you all for taking the time to visit my blog! I love reading all the wonderful comments :)

4th Of July Exchange Received

I recently participated in the Holiday Exchanges 4 of July exchange. On Saturday I received this adorable Altoid tin from Natasha. She stitched "O Say" by Shepherds Bush for me. I love the little button on it!  Such a cute design! I have always admired Shepherds Bush designs but I am not sure why I have never stitched anything from them?
Natasha also spoiled me with a lot of extra goodies!! All of which I can definitely use :) She sent me a package of Tokens & Trifels Ivy Circle sewing cards. I have always wanted to try them but just never had the opportunity to. Now I can!! They have some wonderful free designs on their website for each of the shapes of their cards and I saw a couple I love for these cards Natasha sent me.

Thank You so VERY much for a wonderful exchange Natasha!

My First Scissor Keep Was Received

I recently participated in a Scissor Keep exchange on the Exchanging with BeckySC group. I had Sadie's name and decided to make her this little Bee scissor Keep . I had seen this design on  Sharon's  blog some time ago and had always wanted to stitch it. I thought it would be the perfect summer design :) I will admit I was a little afraid I would mess up the sewing together part but it was actually pretty easy! I even found a fabric with bees on it that I used for the inside lining.

I heard from Sadie that she received it the other day and she loved it! That makes me so happy :) It was a pleasure stitching & putting it together for you Sadie!

Sharon also has a matching pin cushion, fob and needle case to go with it. She also has some other lovely designs on her blog. I LOVE her dragon fly set too!  I may just have to stitch up another one for me along with the matching pieces lol

My LK Exchange Was Received

I can't believe I forgot to post this!

Last week Lilang let me know that she received the exchange I sent her . I had her name for round 4 of the Lizzie Kate Exchange that we are both in. I was starting to get a little concerned that it may have been lost in the mail as I sent it out to her on April 30. My post office told me it would take a week to get to her. Yeah ok! LOL

Anyway it did finally arrive safely and Lilang said she liked it :) I had alot of fun stitching and finishing it for her. This is the first time I have made a pillow this way and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be :) I guess my sewing skills are getting better! The design is from LK #88 Faith Hope Love. I was so glad I had a fabric that seemed to go perfect with it!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!

A Couple Of Exchanges received

Yesterday & Today have been FUN  mail days for me!
yesterday I received an adorable ornament from Nic for HOE's Early Christmas Ornament exchange.  I absolutely LOVE it!  The little bells on it are so cute and I just can't stop walking around shaking it just to hear them jingle lol I love the floss color she used and have emailed her to find out what the name of the floss is. She also sent me a cute little bell shape frame.
Thank you so very much Nic! I can't wait to hang this on my tree :)

Today when I returned from taking my son to a birthday party I found this lovely scissor keep in my mail box from Julianne. She was my partner for our scissor keep exchange in Exchanging with BeckySC.
Julianne didn't know but I have always loved the design she chose to stitch for me. Everytime I see it I say I have to stitch it but have never gotten around to it. She also used my favorite color Purple ! The floss she used is Elegant Eggplant by Crescent Colors. I LOVE it!!
Thank you so very much Julianne for this wonderful exchange!
