little man dog.

i haven't given a wallace update in a while.
you know, my little man dog.
he seriously is just like my child.

i mean seriously, look how handsome he is.
i know, i know...i'm one of those sick pet people.
but he is handsome.

we had a little photo fun in the back yard with him before we moved.
frisbee is his absolute favorite.
he'd play all day if we'd throw it.
well i lie, he gets tired and will lay down and sleep in between.

ok, this may very well be one of my most favorite pictures ever.
we were playing with the dandelions and apparently wallace was having a grand ol' time.
look at him! closing his eyes and smiling while chris blows dandelion wisps all over his face!

and then he was just looking so cute sitting in the bed, i had to continue taking pictures.
i mean he's just simply darling.

home sweet home

we are super loving our new home! it's awesome.
we are absolutely positively beyond blessed.

here's a little before decoration tour....

the back yard - and wallace

the entry way/dining room/living room

the living room/kitchen

hallway and master bedroom...wallace is totally photo bombing all of them!

the master bath and other bedrooms

and then there's wallace again. remember how i told you that he didn't know what to do in the back yard? well this is pretty much what he does all day! silly goose!

so now we are slowly getting unpacked and decorated for christmas.
trust me...there will be pics of christmas decor!
the lady who we got the house from gave me her two christmas trees. one's a 4 footer and the other is a white 6 footer. i'm trying to get brave enough to embrace the white!

baby wallace

fair warning -  i may be turning into one of those obnoxious people that only post about their kids pets.
just kidding.
kind of.

so last weekend we did some venturing out and found this awesome park in our town.
sunday was so beautiful, i thought it was the perfect time to take our baby boy to the park.
he thoroughly enjoyed himself!

i tried to get him to chase ducks.
instead he just sat and watched them.
lazy dog.

and well then i thought a photo shoot was in order for the little fella!
this proved to be fun.
but he cooperated pretty well.

look at that sweet face!

side view...

looking off into the distance...

the money shot.

wallace and daddy.
awww....such love.

wallace and mommy - all artistic like.
and look, we even got his tennis ball in there.

yeah, we're pretty pathetic.
but he's just so darn cute!
i think he would have laid in that grass all day if we would have let him.
he was happy as a clam.

***sidenote: what makes a clam happy? how do we know its happy?***

anywho, so i'm pretty sure the park will be a part of our weekly schedule - at least a couple of times a week. made wallace a happy pup and a sleepy one when we got home. perfection!

Mothers - I Salute You

So this weekend, we got a new puppy, Wallace.
He's precious and so much fun.
However, Tuesday was my first day home alone with him all day while trying to work.
Oh wow.
I literally went non-stop and got nothing accomplished.
I passed out on the couch when Chris got home.
Simply exhausted.
I imagine this is only a smidge of what stay at home moms experience.
And for that, mothers, I salute you!
This is a tough job - and I'm just dealing with a dog!

But I love the little fella.
He's so stinking cute....and smart!
We're starting to get him in the habit of a few things and it's blowing our mind how quickly he's picking up on it.

Currently he's laying on the couch making an absolute mess with a bone...but I'm cool with that.
He's happy.

Ok, so back to all things exciting in September!
This Saturday I'm going to my first ever blogger meet up. Woot woot.
We're going painting. Yay!
I love those painting parties!!!
And of course my cuz will be there, so it'll be awesome.

Then Tuesday we're going to the Rangers game.
Holla!
This will be my first Texas sporting event. SO excited.

Then Wednesday I'm starting a bible study at our new church.
I'm beyond excited about this!

So yeah, that's life...random as ever! ;)

Wallace.

since it's september and all, and you know, it's my birthday month, september on the blog will be filled with all of my favorite things.
can i get a what what?

so let's start with labradoodles.
i love them.
i've wanted one for years.
they are a mix between a poodle and a labrador.
all the great qualities of each - in one.
both breeds are super intelligent.
they don't really shed and are great for people with allergies.
check, check.

and yesterday, chris and i made an uber spontaneous decision to get one.
***let it be known that every year i vow to increase my spontaneity. i suck at decision making and so if it requires thought, i usually give up because i can't decide. this here experience checks my spontaneity goal off the list for this year!***
we found a breeder that had 3 left and had dropped the price.
it was an unheard of deal.
so we got some cash, hopped in the car and headed to atoka, ok!
yes, we drove to oklahoma to get our new boy!
it was only a 2 hour drive. ;)

we knew that all 3 the breeder had were males...two beige and 1 black.
we waited until we got there to make our decision.
they were all precious.
but the black one, he just had something special.
so we took him!
happy birthday to us!

yes, you see that correctly. chris totally made me sit in the back seat.
but much to his dismay, our little wallace wanted me.
so we pulled over so i could get back up front.

look how handsome he is!
chris has a goal for this little one.
wallace must grow a beard, and then we will groom his face so that it matches chris.
we apparently are those people.

he's such a good dog.
the breeder had been working with him on sitting and fetching, so we've had lots of fun.
he's very well behaved and slept in his crate all night with no whining last night!
yes!

the cats, however, are a different story.
they aren't too thrilled at the moment.
jackson has spent the last 12 hours growling, but will not let wallace out of his sight.
molly has been in secret hiding.
this transition might take a little time.

wallace should grow to be between 50-70 pounds which is perfect for us.
we like bigger dogs.
and since i'm home all day, it will make life a bit more interesting for me.
down the street we have an awesome park and dog park, so when he gets a little bigger, we will have lots of park fun.

chris is completely smitten with the little fellow.
it's quite precious.

what are your favorite types of dogs?
