Hello Friends!  Today over at Life.Paper.Scrapbook, the new sketch challenge has been released.

I've decide to crack open my dt kit from The Scrapbook Store to play along.  Mmmm!  Lots of yummy "Echo Park: Bundle of Joy" goodness...

I just love how the alpha stickers imitate the long legs of the insect! (And they are my favourite colour too!!....ummm.  The alphas that is, not the insect!) *grin*

The Scrapbook Store | March Sketch..

Hi Everyone.  I'm finally realising that it is March already!  (That last week of February really got away from me.)  And with March comes a new sketch from The Scrapbook Store and another chance to win a cool $40 gift voucher plus free postage from the store just for entering!  How exciting is that!

Here is the sketch...

And this is my take on it...

"Emergency"

products used: cs - kaisercraft; pp - Echo Park (Scoot); alpha - Jillibean Soup alphabeans; other - Echo Park stickers, Greatest View badge/flair; tools - black pen (sharpie).

All three of my boys have had a phase where they love playing with emergency vehicles.  This is Cams.  His favourite is the fire engine.  I'm convinced it is because it makes the loudest noise!  LOL!

I've added a few layers of paper and stickers from the Scoot collection along the bottom of the photo, as well as a gorgeous badge from Greatest View.  The DT over at The Scrapbook Store have compiled a really diverse collection of layouts just from this one sketch.  I hope to see your version added to the gallery soon too.  Thanks for visiting..x

The Scrapbook Store | Platform No. 2..

Hi Everyone.  I am back to share a little more of the Echo Park collection, Scoot, for The Scrapbook Store.

I have said previously that these papers are fabulous for boys and outdoor fun.  And once again, I have focused in on the train aspect of the collection. ...I did mention that my boys LOVE trains, right?  *grin*  They love them even more when they get the chance to see the real things up close.

"Platform No.2"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Echo Park (Scoot); alpha - Amy Tan (American Crafts thickers); other  - Echo Park Scoot stickers, glimmermist; tools - circle punch.

On this particular day, we were seeing Nanny off to the airport via the train station.  Cam had mixed feelings.  LOL!  He was sad to see Nanny go home but still quite excited to see the train station where he thinks daddy "works"!

The colours in this collection are so fresh!  And I'm not shy when it comes to teaming up yellow and turquoise!!  LOL! I love how they pop on the white cardstock background.

I've added plenty of layers with the stickers and patterned papers to create some interest, but have still retained the emphasis on railway tracks, crossings and "choo choo" trains, through the choice of papers used!  :)

If you would like to create some fun memories using this collection, don't forget to visit The Scrapbook Store to purchase what you need!  Thanks for visiting..x

The Scrapbook Store | Trains...

Oh My!!  If you have little (or even big) boys who are crazy for outdoor activities, then I highly recommend the new Echo Park - Scoot collection!  This is exactly what I got in my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store!  And I am loving it!!

Last year, we visited the Qld Workshop Rail Museum.  It was pure heaven for my boys.  Even my daughter enjoyed herself!  :)  This paper collection has really allowed me to showcase the museum without the page becoming too theme-y.. IYKWIM!  *grin*

"All for the love of Trains"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Echo Park, Scoot; alpha - American Crafts thickers (grey), Kaisercraft tiny alphas; other - Echo Park: elements stickers; skewer, ScrapFX chipboard (train), black paint; tools - silhouette, foam tape, black pen (sharpie).

The little chipboard train from ScrapFX was painted black and mounted on a skewer with some banner flags.  It also helps connect the top photo with the rest of the cluster.  The title is an eclectic mix of alphas, much like the layering of patterned papers.

I've still got a few more LOs to come using these bright and energetic patterned papers!  If you would like to get your hands on some, please visit Suzanne's shop, The Scrapbook Store, to make a purchase..x

Thanks for visiting..x

The Scrapbook Store | Butterfly Kisses..

Hello Friends.  Happy Christmas Eve!  I hope you are all relaxing and finding the time to do something or be with someone you love over the next few day.  :)  I am going to be doing just that as soon as I tick some items off my very long to-do list!  LOL! But before I can finish off some of those last minute wrapping or baking items on that list, I want to quickly share this layout created for The Scrapbook Store.  *grin*

"Like Butterfly Kisses"

products used: cs - kaisercraft; pp - Echo Park For the Record 2; alpha - Echo Park For the Record 2 sticker sheet; other - Echo Park: For the Record 2 chipboard & decorative brads, kaisercraft paper blooms & mini blooms, Amy Tan clear stamps, Jenni Bowlin paint, Mister Huey's color mist.

This was one of my instagram photos from the crazy behind the scenes chaos at Tahlia's recent end of year concert.  I love this candid moment.  It will also find its way into our December Daily for 2012.  (Umm. Yes.  I am quietly working my way through this...)

"Butterfly Kisses" was the name of a song she danced to some years back, but I love the reference to the mascara being applied as well...

I've also added the "bunch" of roses to the LO as a reminder of the bouquets she gets after each yearly concert.  So, even though there is no journaling on this page the symbols and embellishments tell the story for me.

If you have been inspired to use some Echo Park For the Record 2 papers check out this link here.  Maybe you could get some as a last minute Christmas gift!!!  LOL!

Thanks for visiting..x

Scrapbooking Memories Blog Hop...

Hi Everyone and welcome to the Scrapbooking Memories Blog Hop!!

This will be one of the very last challenges as my term as a Scrapbooking Memories Master comes to an end.  It has been both a challenging and very, very rewarding year.  I can only hope that the new Masters will have the same amount of joy.

Anyway... Back to the blog hop!!  Each of the ten contributors in this hop, will post their projects over the course of the week and we will be keeping you guessing!  Make sure you pop back to the Scrapbooking Memories blog for handy hints and you can always have a guess while you’re at it!  Leave a comment here on this post, if you think you might know what the theme is!

Hopefully you have already visited Jasmine's blog earlier this morning and now I get to share a layout of mine...

"Wanderlust"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Echo Park (For the Record 2), October Afternoon; alpha - Echo Park (For the Record2) alpha sheet; other - Echo Park decorative brads & alpha sheet stickers, vellum, sequins, Bella BLVD designer tape (Orange Stripe), washi tape (grey), Tattered Angels glimmermist, Shimmerz mist, washi tape (yellow); tools - sewing machine, typewriter.

This layout was created using my DT Kit from The Scrapbook Store.  I just adore Echo Park and this collection is gorgeous!

My littlest boy loves to travel.  Even if it is just off to the shops to buy some milk!  So can you imagine his delight when the school bus driver let us travel with the kids for one short stop!  LOL!  The driver would of happily have taken us all the way to the school, but then I'm sure my little traveller wouldn't be so happy on the walk home!!  (..between 10 and 15 kms!) *grin*

And now after visiting my blog you have another clue as to what the blog hop theme is all about.  Have you guessed it yet?  Or is it still early days?  Remember to stay with us on the hop this week to discover more clues as you visit some friendly bloggers!  :)  Check in with the team over at the Scrapbooking Memories blog tomorrow morning to see where to journey to next. hint:  It's Sharmaine!! LOL!  You can find her blog here.

Happy hopping!  And thanks for visiting..x
