Butterflies and Easter Eggs

Another coloring book image I snatched off the internet.  I made two of these.  One for my brother in Vegas.  I don't get to see him very often, so I send a little love via snail mail.   The other for my favorite aunt and uncle. I want them to know that I love them, and am thinking about them.

I used some Dazzling Diamonds on the eggs, to make them glimmer!  I love coloring at night while I'm hanging with the family watching TV  right now we are watching "The Originals".  I also used Splitcoast Stampers for some inspiration to put the card together. I had a pretty fun day putting my Easter cards together.  Thanks for stopping by, have great day!

Poppin' Birthday

I've been playing with my new stamps.  I gotta say...I love getting back in the swing of things.  I forgot how relaxing and satisfying it is to make cards.  I made this one just for the sake of playing.  Remember like when we were kids, and we'd just do something for the sake of it being fun.  As adults we really don't get that luxury very often. Especially if there little ones (or teenagers) around demanding our time.  LOL

Technique: Poppin Pastels
Stamp Sets: "Patterned Party", "Teeny Tiny Wishes"
Ink Colors: Basic Gray, Baja Breeze,

So Sorry

I was browsing through some training help for SU demonstrators and was reminded of the Faux Metal technique.  This set immediately came to mind.  I made the tag then struggled with making the rest of the card.  I thought it would look good with the very vintage wheel.  So this is what I created.  For now the card is sitting in my box of techniques collection.  I mess up a lot, so I am sure I will be using this 'sorry' card very soon  ;)

Ink colors: Soft Suede (pad, and cartridge)

Faux Silk-friend to friend

I was working on a project for my stamp group. I came across this technique from my SU book. So I made this card which I do absolutely adore. However, it is not the project I used. Funny how that works. Anyway I still wanted to share it with you all.
Faux silk is very fun and easy to make. All you do is stamp and color your image on regular cardstock. Then use some plain ol' tissue paper, crumple it up, use a glue stick to rub all over your image, then spread the smoothed out tissue paper over the top. It feels so soft, and looks like silk. Very fun, and easy yet impressive technique. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up! I just added some bling to it with stamps!!! The colors I used, marina mist, old olive, and ruby red. Ok- well thanks for stopping in today. Hope you enjoy your day!

Tom Turkey SC301

I know it doesn't seem like Turkey Day should be here already... but it is tomorrow. I hope you all have your birds and pies ready. Pumpkin is my favorite-so I made a few of those to share.
This turkey was so fun to color. My son asked me how come I didn't color him brown and gray like real turkeys. I said because this is my turkey- and he has personality. I use my copics to add color. I also used some SU-glass beads. The turkey image is from High Hopes stamps. Great image don't you think? I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. Be thankful for the little things. I know I am blessed with my wonderful kids. I love them so much and am grateful everyday, that I got such wonderful treasures. God bless

Pumpkin Bear SC302

He was suppose to be done and posted before Halloween. Well he was colored-then I put him in my "I'll finish later box". Does anybody else have one of those. Not quit feeling the full effect, so it goes in a box until an idea slaps you upside the head. :0) I pulled out my box- honestly because it was too full to shove anything else into. He's still kinda fally- hope you enjoy, he makes me smile.

Birdie Told Me! FCCB #34

Fantabulous Cricut #34 Create a project that has something to do with a bird.
The cartridge I used here was Live Simply although I am against WalMart having exclusive rights to these cartridges-My obsession with Cricut is stronger. :) The stamp set is from SU "teeny tiny wishes. Embossing on the background (baja breeze) I used the petals a plenty from SU. The embossing on the nest is a cuttlebug-floral screen. I really like how my cute little birdie came out. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!!!!
