Kitty & Yarn

Mom Judy loves to sew, and knit. I made this little kitty card for her!  I think she will like it.  She will at least like that I thought of her, and hand made her a card.  She's sentimental like that.  By the way, Judy is Jason's mom, and she is a great person.  The kitty is colored with my Copics. I really enjoy using them. I get on a kick some nights, while we are watching a movie, and I color like a mad woman.  Then I have to put together cards.  I like using the sketches from Splitcoast Stampers, they have a weekly sketch challenge. It's kind of fun to play along. The yarn is cut with my Cricut machine.  Sometimes I go wild with that thing too.  Just cuttin out this and that~ not quit having a purpose for all of them.  It's a good thing I know a lot of people to make cards for.  LOL

Recipe:

Cricut Cartridge: Country Life ball of yarn cut at 3"
Paper: Dsp, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake,
Accessories: SU ribboon
Splitcoast: SC382
Image: Large Puffy Kitty (High Hopes)

Get Your Flowers

I love this little guy!  I immediately thought of Jason's mom after I got him colored.  I always color~ then find the paper to match.  I think I should probably do it just the opposite.  Oh well, as long as things are fun.  That's the important part of any hobby!

Technique: Copics, folder embossing
Image: HH "Paul's Posies"
Folder: SU "Elegant Boquet"
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Old Olive
Ink Whisper White
SU dazzling details
Accessories: Misc brads
Splitcoast Challenge: SC430

Christmas cards 2012

Looking back over these make me want to make more Christmas cards.
I always have so much fun coloring the frosty pictures.

Bradon
Image I found online, again looking for coloring pages for my daycare kids.  The kids think it's funny that I color the sames pictures they. I just make them a bit smaller and more decorative.
The phrase is computer generated.

For my sister
This is a High Hopes image.  "Peeking Snowman"

This guy is from Di's Digis "Delivery Time"

I grabbed this guy form Dustin Pike "Teddy with Candy Cane"

Tom Turkey SC301

I know it doesn't seem like Turkey Day should be here already... but it is tomorrow. I hope you all have your birds and pies ready. Pumpkin is my favorite-so I made a few of those to share.
This turkey was so fun to color. My son asked me how come I didn't color him brown and gray like real turkeys. I said because this is my turkey- and he has personality. I use my copics to add color. I also used some SU-glass beads. The turkey image is from High Hopes stamps. Great image don't you think? I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. Be thankful for the little things. I know I am blessed with my wonderful kids. I love them so much and am grateful everyday, that I got such wonderful treasures. God bless

Pumpkin Patch Pete SC283

I was feeling pretty inspired by fall-when I colored this guy. I love to just color images. Then sometimes I go to Splitcoast Stampers to put them together- with their sketch challenges.

The colors and the little scarecrow just make me so darn happy.
Hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by my little world.
The card stock and paper is from Stampin' Up! night of navy, garden green, more mustard, & baja breeze.
I used Copics to color the image. The stamp is from High Hopes

Silly Birthday

This card is going to a very dear friend of mine. I am hoping it will put a huge smile on her face, when she opens it. The stripes are some cricut brand paper that I have for a while, but the colors matched perfectly. I have so much paper sitting around-as you probably all do. I have been trying to use some of it up. The clown is from High Hopes Stamps Silly Billy. I framed the picture in only orange, and used some buttons to finish it off. This is actually such an easy card. I love the ones that are fairly simple, and still look so cute. lol. Have a great day. He or one like him is definatley available at our web store LadyBirdDesings.com

Sand Castle SC280

This little boy turned out so cute- at least I think so anyway.
Image is from High Hope little sand architect. I used some marina mist, and crumb cake for the cardstock, and some other paper from my stash. He is without a phrase at this point, I wanted to leave him open so it would be a versatile card.
I had this little starfish laying around, and thought it matched pretty well. Well, hope you are having and continue to have a great day.

Silly Celebration

This is silly billy from High Hopes stamps. I am not much of a clown person, but he is irresistible. I used lovely lilac to roll the background with the party wheel from SU! (and oldie but a goodie). I haven't played with this wheel for a long time, I forgot how fun it is. I do have one busy day scheduled today. A birthday, which this card is not for. A wedding reception for one of my neighbors from my old hood, LOL. Hard to believe I move away, and all their kids grow up. After that we have a party to go to. With a "white trash" theme. I find that ironic, a wedding and then trash. Ok, well thanks for stopping by..... What ever you do today-I hope your day is fun and safe.

Stinkin' Cute Tick SC264

This little guy, makes me so happy. Such a cute little stinker isn't he. I may have gotten a little carried away on the embossing but I like it. I used a few of the retiring SU colors. YAY me! The more I use my Copics, the more I absolutely love them. Another one with tick pickin' posies. This is to meet challenge #264 from splitcoast stampers. This one is for my mom, she thinks skunks are cute, so do I especially this one. The colors I used are sahara sand, cameo coral, gable green, apricot appeal. I sponged the background with bashful blue. All of the embossing was done with a cricut folder. I added some ribbon and some misc flower brads. Really fun and easy to put together. The little posies have some crystal effects on them. :) tee hee have a great day.

Mom Day Card

I feel like I am getting the hang of painting with my copics. This is the second card I made using this boy. This one is for Dru's mom. It reminds me of my man- being so shy hiding flowers behind his back. We are going up to visit his family latter this afternoon. I made her an etched glass plate as well. We are also going to stop and get her some petunias to plant in the yard. Dad is BBQ'n so it should be an excellent day. We did "my" Mother's Day yesterday- I got the best bbq chicken, made by my son. Also got to spend time with friends and family. What could be better right ;0) except another day of the same.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!! Hope you have an awesome day! hugs & smiles Details: Paper: SU DSP, bordering blue Accessories: ribbon, sunshine flower, Stamps, sunday best HH. teeny tiny wishes SU

Sonshine a Quiltin'

When I came across this quilting woman. Ok it's suppose to be an angel, but I wanted the wings to be a puffy pillow--poof they are! (go with me here) I had to have her. You see my second mom is a quilter, and she does every bit of it by hand. She made a beautiful lighthouse quilt for me-which sits on my couch, to wrap around me when ever I need a hug. I hope when she gets this card, she can fell a hug from me. Paper: SU! DSP, apricot appeal, Stamps: High Hopes "kathy quilting angel" The background behind Sonshine is sponged in apricot, and close to cocoa.

So Sorry SC262

Hi, this is just another one I just couldn't resist. Either for a miss you card, thinking of you, or as a Sorry as I did. He is from High Hopes Zach & Ozzie. The paper is from SU! brocade blue, more mustard, chocolate chip, and east coast prep, DSP. I used tafeta chocolate chip ribbon with a ribbon slidder. I also used see around wheel on the blue background. and Teeny Tiny Wishes for the phrase. This was made to meet SC262. Have a great day, see you soon.

Easter Bunnies

YAY! so excited for Easter, because Easter brings spring. I don't care what the Utah mountains say. So these bunnies far from High Hopes "easter fun" I used the eyelet border under the main picture, and some white ribbon. I never realized how much I use white ribbon, until it was gone. The bunnies on this card are colored using SU! color pencils. Happy Easter is from teeny tiny wishes. It's amazing how much fun these bunnies are having, and there isn't even a mess. I don't know about you but around here when we color eggs, we make a mess. teehee .

One Giant Egg

This is actually one of the first pics I colored with the copics. I know there is a bit of bleeding. Please don't be too harsh. Paper: SU DSP, tempting turquoise, apricot appeal, gable green stamps: High Hopes- bunny masterpiece, SU-eggcrouments Punches: SU! scallop border, tag small and large. I did some faux stitching around the outer edge, not so sure how I like that, but it is growing on me. Now I just need a chocolate bunny, and this card is ready to make some bunny smile (ha ha couldn't pass up the pun)

Thinking of You

I don't mind the rain, especially a nice spring rain. The smell is so fresh. "raindrops ribbitt" from High Hopes is doing just that, he is taking a spring walk in the rain. The colors I used were apricot appeal, lovely lilac, white, & bashful blue. The drops are cut from pooh and friends. I ran the background through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. . You can see some sprinkles (SU!) on the lilac under the white ribbon. I used the window punch to make a place for the phrase, using teeny tiny phrases. I find my self using that set a lot, there is a little something for everything in that set.

So I decided to challenge myself to use Splitcoast Stampers, I am going back to the first of this year and doing the Sketch Challenges. This is SC271. The paper I used was elegant eggplant, and ruby red. The phrase is from SU! teeny tiny wishes.

You're Unfrogettable

Love this cute little frog. He is from High Hopes Stamps "raindrops ribbit" The paper is some SU! DSP I've had for I believe 2 years. I used the cuttle bug forest branches on the barely banana behind the frog. The brads are also some I've had laying around for a while. The phrase is from SU: unfrogettable it seemed to just cry for that statement. I have been playing with my new copic markers. I just love, love, love them. So you will probably see a lot of these poppin' up.

Leapin' Leprachaun

Happy St. Patrick's Day (green beer for everyone) YAY! I just love this Leapin' Leprechaun that I stumbled across. He is from High Hopes stamps. I also used SUteeny tiny wishes, I used the triple heart punch to make the clover. The background is the baby wipe technique-only I swirled instead of stripping. The colors I used for the bg were garden green, gable green and creamy caramel. The paper colors are: garden green, chocolate chip, glossy white, and of course white. Dazzling diamonds are on the magical clovers. Have a happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!
