Panda onigiri anyone? Simple and yet looks little foods for my girl lunch box ^_^ Well, she will have a short tea break around 9:30am before her lunch and sometime during the lunch break, students required to go for reading program so basically she requested less foods.
A closer look of the panda onigiri. Freehand scissor cut out the nori details and arrange all pandas on top of the canned baked beans.
For side dishes have baked cheese potato, Japanese cucumber and stir-fried chicken fillets with ginger.
Hope these cute panda onigiri will brighten up your day!

Mantou anyone?? Piggy & Hello Kitty
It's Saturday and why I'm here writing on weekend? Well, just have the "good" mood doing some baking :p Yes, I'm the kind of follow my mood swing on baking...haha....so today I made simple piggy mantou and hello kitty mantou. My very 1st attempt making character design and still need lots of practice to make it better ^_^ Really admire those who can baked and cooked!
Bought this recipe book quite some time but didn't make the effort of making it =_=" Love to flipped the pages but lack of motivation of doing it compare making bento :D
Here is my Piggy Mantou. The recipe book that I followed was supposely in pink colours for the nose and ears but I don't have the ingredients. So I did some changes by mixing cooked pumpkin for the orange colour.
I tried out making Hello Kitty Mantou as well and didn't turn out pretty :p Well, as long my kids love it and enjoy making together means a whole world to me ^_^ The whiskers I add chocolate rice before steam it and it melts nicely (surprised me) Eye balls were black candy (bought from bakery shop)
Ta-da....end of hard work for today!! Haha....not sure when will I gain back the "good" mood on baking :) Happy Weekend to all!

Bento#July13~Kawaii Doll Kyaraben
Today you will be reading my 300th post! Yes!! Is 300th posts that I can't believed it had reached the blog milestones. I started blogging as journey to kept sweet memories as a diary for my children after started making bento in year 2010 month of August. But I started to blog in year 2012 also in month of August ^_^
Thank you so much for my followers and readers! I've learned so much and met many expert bento bloggers from here. You all were the best!
So here is my last night kyaraben dinner for myself ^_^ My daughter can't wait for me after she smell and saw all the dishes already cooked. Haha...end up the dinner bento belongs to ME!
Well, I followed the image from the kawaii girl bento box but slightly made some changes by adding hairband and holds Hello Kitty as pillow :p![]() |
A closer looked of the Kawaii Doll & Hello Kitty |
Hello Kitty as pillow : Fishball but already in oval shape. Punch out nori for details and eggsheet for nose.
Stir-fried spinach with fishballs (I took it to made Kitty), breadcrumb prawn and tamagoyaki wit nori. Apricot, strawberry, grape and cherry tomato at another food cup. Sweet corn soup was last night dinner but the bento box wasn't enough room for me to add so I just extract the sweet corn and decorate as flower to the spinach ^_^ The middle flower was carrot (from the soup).
