Color Throwdown Challenge
This week's Color Throwdown Challenge uses colours close to Twilight/Crystal Blue/Sweet Leaf... so I added in a bit of Desert Sand and pulled out a stamp set that I LOVE but have never used: Buttoned Together. There was a fair bit of cutting involved, but I love the end result, so I think I'll come up with a few different coloured versions in the future.

An upsie-downsie version
Here is an upright version of the same card I posted for the Play Date Cafe Challenge this week. I loved the colours together so much that I wanted to make another! So I decided to make this my husband's card for our Anniversary next week (#16!) I thought the Cherish the Moment set worked perfectly. You can't see it too well, but I put a little sparkle next to "anniversary" on the little rectangle. I didn't chalk this one, or distress the cardstock - I like the clean look, too.

Play Date Cafe Challenge
Here's my first card for the Play Date Cafe Challenge! This week's colour challenge was to use Purple/Lilac/Lime Green in a card... so I tweaked it a bit with some CTMH colours (they're way prettier in person - I may have to rephotograph it in daylight!):
All supplies are CTMH: Stamp sets are Thoughts of You and Cherish the Moment; Cardstock is Pansy Purple Textured, Petal and White Daisy; Inks are Black, Sweet Leaf, Petal and Pansy Purple; Ribbon is Smokey Plum; Pewter brad; Autumn chalks.

Teddy card set
This is a set of cards that I made last Christmas - a girlfriend had a boss who loved teddy bears, and asked if I could make up a set to give her as a gift. I made extra bits and pieces at the time, and this week I've assembled a duplicate set for myself. I was really pleased with how these turned out - I really love the combination of colours. Making card sets is my favourite thing - it's just how my brain works! I'll make the picture large enough so that you can see each card, and will try to post some of the individual cards that I've just made:
Sorry for this sideways pic, but I wanted to show the envelopes & little purse that I put them in:
Patterned paper is K&Co, Small Wonders Boy collection; Stamp set is CTMH Beary Much; Cardstock is Desert Sand, Colonial White; Inks are Desert Sand and Cranberry; Autumn chalks;

Mojo Monday!
This week's Mojo sketch was a good one for me... it was either saying "stars" or "butterfies" to me - and the butterflies won. The squares are pop dotted, and the butterfly's wings are bent upwards:
All supplies except for the ribbon are CTMH: Patterned papers - Key To My Heart; Cardstock - Cocoa, Creme Brulee, Colonial White; Stamp sets - Butterfly Kiss, Card Commentary; Inks - Creme Brulee, Sorbet, Juniper, Tulip, Cocoa.

Guy cards
Cards for men are just a little bit harder to make than cards for women... so I was really pleased with how these turned out. I initially bought this stamp set to make cards for our friends who have a store near a campsite/beach - but once I made my first prototype, I knew it was the perfect card for my brother-in-law who is a fisherman. The big one is 5"x6 1/2", the small one is 4 1/4"x5 1/2", you can't really tell from the photo, but I softly sponged Dutch Blue around the sky and water:
All supplies are CTMH: Stamp set - Relax, Patterned paper - Rustic Trails, Cardstock - White Daisy, Black, Garden Green; Inks - Garden Green, Black, Dutch Blue;

Heart2Heart Challenge
This week's H2H challenge was a sketch - "City Scape" from CTMH's most recent card pattern idea book, "Wishes" (which I love). I chose both a stamp set and paper pack that I've had for a while - this is my current trend, to use up what's sittin' around! This card is typical Karen style - clean lines, simple design, not too fussy :o) If you haven't checked out the H2H blog yet, just click on the link above, and see what everyone's up to!
All supplies CTMH, except the ribbon (recycled!); Stamp set - Goodness of Life; Paper pack - Caprice; Cardstock - Chocolate; Ink - Chocolate; Bigger Brads - Chocolate; Buttons - Neutral and Winter Assortments. Card is 5"x6 1/2".

Mojo Monday!
I tried hard to do something a little different this week for the Mojo Monday sketch - using products that aren't the norm for me, and minimal stamping. The big flower is pop-dotted. I just couldn't maket the little square on the right of their sketch work for me... so I left that out, but I'm quite happy with the result:
All supplies are CTMH; Patterned paper - Veranda, Key to My Heart; Stamp set is You're Invited; Cardstock is Cocoa; Flowers are Fancy Cuts Botanicals; Ink is Chocolate; Embroidery Floss - Neutral Assortment. Here is the sketch:
