Mojo Monday & Inspired By
Finally getting around to posting in 2019! I am happy to play along with both the sketch from Mojo Monday #506... and the snowman inspiration on the Inspired By blog. I have been using my Art Impressions Watercolour stamps a lot recently, and don't think that I've ever posted a card using this sweet snowman? First Christmas card for 2019 is added to my stash:

Mojo Monday #502
Back with a card using the current Mojo Monday sketch #502... Using up some old CTMH paper that I've had for eons (this stuff never ends!), and I managed to make up four of them:

Mojo Monday returns!
I was very happy to read that Julee Tilman was resurrecting Mojo Monday on her blog this week. It's going to be a bi-weekly sketch challenge, which is perfect. She does amazing sketches! Having said that, I did a simplified version of this one... I'm in need of several masculine cards for November, so I put a couple of these together. I edited the sketch a little, as it was just getting too busy for me:
Patterned papers are Echo Park; Stamps are Hello Life, Close To My Heart; Star dies are Taylored Expressions, Inks are Sunset & Chocolate, CTMH.

Mojo Monday #500
This week's Mojo Monday post was a sad one - Julee is closing the challenge after almost 10 years! That's an incredibly long time for anyone to keep a challenge blog going - and all the work that goes along with it, so I can appreciate the time involved. On the upside, she's going to spend more time with her family, which is really what it's all about. This is my FAVOURITE challenge, and always has been. I give Julee & Mojo a lot of credit for why I started my blog seven years ago (almost to the day). I fell in love with Verve stamps, and many of their designers are people that I still follow closely today (Teresa Kline, Maureen Plut, Amy Scheffer, and Julee to name a few). I also wanted to be able to leave comments on their blogs & to play along with the challenges. Here is what I came up with for this week's sketch:
I used Verve's Simply Amazing stamp set and Amazing Adjectives dies for my card, along with Echo Park's Hello Summer papers from a few years ago. I haven't been able to play along with Mojo Monday as often as I would like, especially over the last couple of years when I've been working more, but I did check it out every single week. I am also very proud that I won on Mojo a few years back, and wanted to share my winning card with you from Mojo #177 on Feb 14/2011. It's still one of my favourite cards:
With a little luck I'll get a couple more Mojo cards snuck in before the challenge closes... I have quite a few favourite Verve stamp sets that I'd like to use :o)

Sneaking in a third coffee card before the hop ends tomorrow! My niece sent me these cute coffee cup paperclips a little while ago, so I wanted to make a card to show them off. Patterned papers are Woodland Friends, October Afternoon, Verve digi stamp, The Paper Store paperclip, Cardstock is Sapphire, Colonial White & Crystal Blue, Close To My Heart, Olive organdy ribbon CTMH.

There's nothing like opening up your mailbox and finding a little package of new Verve goodies waiting for you!! And the day before the Postal strike is supposed to happen, too (lucky me). So of course I had to pull them out and make a little something - here is my take on this week's Mojo Monday sketch:

Mojo & All The Little Things
I am playing along with a new challenge on Lesley Croghan's blog, called "Inspired By All The Little Things". She has posted an inspiration photo, which immediately made me think of this floral paper from Teresa Collins. I'm using this week's Mojo Monday sketch:
I needed a sympathy card, so I pulled out an older set from Close To My Heart (Card Word Puzzle) and stamped it on a circle of watercolour paper. I used the CTMH inks that matched my paper and used a paintbrush to paint the inks onto my image. I popped it up over a piece of organdy ribbon to finish it off. The sentiment is from Verve's "Blessings".
Patterned paper is You Are my Happy, by Teresa Collins; Cardstock and Inks are Sorbet & Desert Sand, CTMH; Colonial White organdy ribbon, CTMH; Sentiment is Blessings by Verve; Stamps are Card Word Puzzle, CTMH; STAX Circle & Stitched Circle dies, My Favorite Things.

Black, White & Glam
I love the October inspiration on the Verve Blog - Black, White & Glam! And I knew that I had the perfect papers for it, which just happened to come with matching ribbon and a pack of glitter papers. I've used this week's Mojo Monday sketch:
Patterned papers, ribbon & glitter paper - all Papermania Capsule Collection; Dies are Mask Die set, Tagged Rectangle Die - Verve; Stamps are Happy Thoughts, Verve.
**I've snapped a quick photo this morning to try to show how sparkly this is in real life - photos don't do it justice!!:

Mojo Monday #409
I am so happy to be playing along with Mojo Monday today... it's been a little while, so I was happy to have some time to make a card this afternoon - and even happier that it's a Christmas card! See that little running total over on my side bar? It's been at "7" Christmas cards for months now...so I need to get a move on. Now, I tweaked the sketch a little - sort of squashed it down to be a horizontal card, but I quite like how it turned out:
Patterned papers are Elf Magic by Bo Bunny; Stamp sets are Glad Tidings and Merry & Bright by Verve; Inks are Black, Pacifica, Topiary and Cranberry, CTMH; Cardstock is Topiary, White Daisy & Pacifica, CTMH; Enamel Dots are Cranberry & Olive Gumdrops by Your Next Embellie.

One More Mojo
I'm sneaking in another card for the 400th Mojo Monday sketch... just under the wire! I have a girlfriend who got some good news after a long battle with breast cancer - and I wanted to make her a card. Here is Verve's Pink Power in a square card:
Julee is also having a Designer search to add new team members... so I am trying out for that as well :o)
Patterned papers are Sophia, CTMH; Cardstock is Blush, Pear, Hollyhock & White Daisy - CTMH; Ink is Black, CTMH; Stamp set is Pink Power, Verve; Die is Ribbon Die, Verve.

Mojo Monday #400 - Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
I am playing along with Mojo Monday today, where Julee is celebrating her 400th sketch! I decided to team it up with the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, since Verve's coffee stamp sets are among my favourites. Here's what I came up with:
I had a great time putting this together... I started by clear embossing the Coffee sentiment repeatedly on a piece of watercolour paper, and then used two different brown distress inks to add my watercolour background (it's supposed to look like spilled coffee, get it?) The dark grey/aqua blue/brown colour combo is a little different, but in person it looks quite amazing! Here's a different angle to show the mocha sparkles a bit better:
I used a Verve Plain Jane stamp for the inside sentiment:

For her 400th Mojo sketch, Julee went back to her very first sketch from 2007. I used a little creative license with it, but hopefully you can see the corner element and word background in my card!
Be sure to check out the rest of the hop on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog - it's always inspiring!

Mojo Monday #367
I got a lovely package of happy mail today... a few weeks back, I won Verve's entire October release for one of my coffee cards (yay me!). I could hardly wait to open it up and start creating. Two of the stamp sets are perfect to make cards for someone fighting breast cancer, and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness month - I wanted to make and post a few cards. Here is, I'm sure, the first of many using this week's Mojo Monday sketch:
Patterned papers are Sweetheart, CTMH; Cardstock is Grey Wool, Cotton Candy & White Daisy, CTMH; Inks are Black & Cotton Candy, CTMH; Stamp sets are Pink Power & Better Together, Verve; Dies are Pennant Trim and Ribbon, Verve.
The October Verve Diva Dare is "Pink Power", so I am entering this there as well!

Mojo & The Challenge
I've combined a couple of challenges today, using the sketch from Mojo Monday, and just the colour combo from The Challenge (although I do love Lesley's sketch, so I may be back to play again!) The colour combo made me think Christmas, and I have the perfect Verve set that fits nicely into that vertical panel:
I was able to make two of these to add to my growing holiday card pile :o)
Patterned papers are Snowhaven; Ink is Slate; Silver Glitter paper; Kraft, White Daisy & Glacier cardstock - all Close To My Heart; Stamp set is Peace on Earth, Verve; Snowflake dies, My Favorite Things.
