New glasses, a float, and an organized kitchen

We went and bought Matthew a new pair of glasses.
So handsome!

For school, Summer had to do a float representing one of the the counties in UT.  She did Morgan county.

We bought this cute sign for the baby's room!

My sister came and help me organize and decorate my new kitchen!  I love my kitchen!  It has the light countertops and cabinets and is just so light and airy.  And it has a backsplash!!

Random things from summer 2017/Settling into our new place

We moved into our new place over Memorial Day weekend 2017.  The kids only had a couple more weeks of school and then it was summer.  Last day of school was a hard one because it was their last day at their old schools and they would be starting at new schools in the fall.

Moving in and unpacking boxes can seem like Christmas morning!  Especially when things have been in storage a couple of months!

Summer was folding laundry and Annalisa wanted to help!  Didn't she do a great job with that red shirt

 2 daddy's girls!

The view out my kitchen window.  Nice to look at while washing dishes!

Free summer movies at our local theater!

Hanging out with cousins

Shoe shopping!  Annalisa found these amazing socks!

A New House

One of my goals with the new year was to bring this whole blog up to date so I am going to try to work on it every day.
We bought a new house after a long and arduous search.  It was frustrating in the sellers market but we found one we loved in a nice quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac.  It has 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, nice wood floors, quartz countertops, barn doors in the laundry room and master closet.  I had to compromise on having a separate living room, a second story and a decent laundry room.  But it has a nice porch and a smaller yard which I love because we had a big yard at our last house and it was so much work it almost felt like we were a slave to it.  We have a beautiful of the mountains. And it is red brick, I have always wanted a red brick house.

Somehow I don't have any pics of the outside of the house, I will have to take some and post them later,  Here are a couple of pics of the kitchen though!

House For Sale.....House Sold

So I am going to have to jump around a bit as we got both a new phone and a new computer in spring of 2017 so our pictures are a bit scattered.  I need to figure out where everything is.
With Karl's new job and our family growing, we decided it was time to put the house on the market.  So we spent most of February and a lot of March painting, repairing, cleaning and getting the house ready to sell.  My sister Cindy helped stage it and it turned out  super cute!

On the first day on the market, we had 11 showings and 3 offers.  We ended up with a contract on it in less than 24 hours.

January 2017-big changes with the new year!

The year 21017 came with a lot of new changes for our family.  More of that in a bit!  Here is the January Pack meeting:

Anna's first time giving a scripture in primary
She was too short.  Karl had to use his knee to prop her up.

The first major change came in February when Karl had officially given his notice to Walgreens and accepted a job as a store manager for Tractor Supply Company.    It had been a long process.  He first interviewed with TSC in October.  They officially offered him the job and he accepting in February.

It was the right decision but not an easy one.  His employees at Walgreens threw him a good-bye lunch.

Putting on the vest for the last time

With the job change we were living a little bit far from Karl's new store and we felt that we had outgrown our home.  Plus the real estate market was hot so we decided to list it.  It was a bittersweet thing since it has been the longest we lived anywhere since being married.  We had a lot of cleaning, packing, painting and staging to do.  It was kind of a whirlwind.
One day we needed a break so we went to the Treehouse Museum.

To Be continued.....
