Autumn Peace update

It's coming along!! I've only got 4 partial pages left to a finish! (3 half pages and a quarter, so 1 full and 3 quarter pages!) I have really enjoyed working on this! I'm so behind on Blogging this year!! I cannot believe it's been nearly 2 months since I last blogged! (ok, it's been 2 months and a day!)  I have a new start, and progress on  few pieces. I will have another new start tomorrow.( I joined the full Coverage Fanatics FB group, so that is why I have so many new starts, to go along with the various SAL themes.) Tomorrow I will be starting Moonlight Bay, by Kustom Krafts.

It looks like this:

See the source image

I'm super excited to start it! I love all the blues in this chart!!

Thank you for reading, Happy Easter, if you celebrate!! And I will try to get back here again to share what I've been up to again, before too long!

Autumn Peace Update

This piece continues to steal the show in my life of stitching! I absolutely LOVE working on it, and barely a day goes by that I don't pick it up!! It is full of confetti, but I don't seem to mind it!

Hope you're having a great day!! Thank you for stopping by!

Autumn Peace....More progress than most!

This is my primary focus piece, because I am stitching it as a gift for my mom, so I tend to pick it up almost daily, while the rest of my projects languish in the background crying for my attention. Not only is it a gift for my mom, but I truly DO love working on this one! So, that also probably plays a part in the fact that I have no trouble working on it for the amount that I do every month!  I have less than a quarter left of this page, then it's onto the next one!! I hope to have a finish on this page by the next time I post, but we shall see how that goes, as we are sliding into the end of the year, and holiday time is upon us. So, busy, busy times! But, I will still see a good chunk of work on it, no less, I'm sure!

I hope all my American readers enjoy Thanksgiving on Thursday, and that we can all find something to be Thankful for. Enjoy eating until your seams groan in protest, and hopefully enjoy lots of good time with family and loved ones!

Thank you again, for stopping by, and as always, Joyful stitching!!

Autumn Peace Update....

Boy! Crazy confetti! but it's been broken up with large chunks of the black in the trunk of that huge tree, so I go back and forth between confetti heavy parts, and solid black parts, it's coming along.

Autumn Peace update

I was able to get just about half of page 7 done, which was my goal, so I'm hoping to have a finish on this one by the next time I post. Lets hope! It seems to be my priority piece lately, it's all I really LOVE working on lately, so it's been getting tons of love, and progress.

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Stitching!

Autumn Peace update!

I was able to finish page 6 in June ! WOW!

And make a good start on page 7!!
This one is the one I most like to work on! I just love all the colors! I pick it up and never want to set it back down!  Which is good, since it's a gift for my mom, and I would like to have it done for her birthday next year....we'll see if that happens.  (Her birthday is the end of April, so still got quite a bit of time.) However since it DID take an entire year to finish the first row of 5 pages and I still have two more rows of pages to finish I'm not sure how realistic it is to reach that goal. Although, I'm already on the 2nd page of this row of 5 pages, and the fist and 5th pages are only half pages, and the bottom row is made up of close to half pages I think, so it may be doable!

Giving myself a goal of a 10x10 block everyday really seems to help me stay on track!

Hope you're all doing well! We'll see you tomorrow for my last update of this month!

Autumn Peace progress!

Well!! I did it!! I finished page 5 of this monster!!! 5 down,10 more to go!!!  I finished my first row of pages on this, it feels so good!! It took me nearly a year to finish this row. I started it June 1 of 2016 and finished May 28 2017.  I always love page finishes, and row finishes, as it kinda feels like a milestone reached, a little finish, you know? That there is 19,688 stitches done!!

And!! Not only did I finish page 5, but I got a GREAT start on page 6!!
Here's that progress:

So! I guess you could say my stitch bug is back!!! I am hoping to have a page finish on 6 by my next post, and I'm pretty sure its gonna happen!

Thank you for stoppin' by!! Happy stitching!!

Autumn Peace update

Well, I am finally seeing some real progress on this one.  As just recently I have switched up my rotation to better suit me (again....lol)

My old rotation I stitched two hours a day: I worked an hour on Autumn Peace everyday, as it is my focus piece, and then I alternated the other hour between Ornaments (3 days a week) and Day Surrendering to Night (4 days a week)  However, so many times, I would end up just working on one project and never switch over to the other one, or I wouldn't find a full 2 hours a day or with my stitch bug being what it's been the first of the year, who knows? For whatever reason, I just never seemed to get as much as I wanted to and I was getting very frustrated.

So, now I still work on the 2 projects a day, but instead of an hourly amount, I have a stitch amount. Except for the Ornaments, they still just get an hour on their 3 days. The other two full coverage pieces, I try to get a full 10x10 block done everyday that I work on them. Which can sometimes take a while, depending on the amount of confetti or whatnot. Sometimes it doesn't take much time at all, it just depends on if there are large chunks of one color, or a lot of confetti. But I have been doing so much better with keeping up on my goals this way. I think being able to SEE the amount put in every day is really helping me be motivated, as apposed to saying "Ok, I've got an hour, lets see how much I can get done", and then sometimes feeling very frustrated if I run into a large amount of confetti and not seeing as much progress as I'd like.

This time I was able to finish over 3 columns worth of stitching, and I've got less than 2 columns left and I'll have finished this page, AND! the entire top row of pages (p.1-5)  So, I'm very excited about that!! So, I am really hoping to be onto the next row of pages by the time I post again, next month! Wish me luck!

Sorry for the rambling! Thank you so much for reading, and until next time....happy stitching!

Autumn Peace...progress.

Well, as I wrote in my last post, very little got done by way of stitching last month due to my husband returning from a 6 month deployment, so I did not make it to my goal on this one! Not even half way to my goal! Which is sort of frustrating, but oh well, what can yah do? Family comes first! So! here's where I'm at with this one:

I finished one and maybe a half of the second column on page 4....pathetic...oh well, better luck to me this month. I am hoping to have a finish on this page by the time I share it again in March. Keep your fingers crossed that I am able to accomplish that goal!

Thank you for reading! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Autumn Peace....Another Page Finish!

So! Pages 1,2, and 3 are now finished! And page 4 has a tiny bit of a start. There is a ton of black in page 4, so I hope that 1) it goes fast, all those large chunks of the same color, and 2) I don't get bored of stitching black for what will seem like forever!

My goal for this one for this month is to finish the first 4 columns of page 4, so we shall see if I do it by the time I post again!

I hope you're all having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Peace....a page finish!!

I did it! I finished p. 3 and went back and started working on p. 1.
Here it is now:

Sorry, it's not the greatest picture. But, I was happy to get another page finish on this, and get started on p. 1. It's slow, but getting done.

Thank you all for reading, hope you have a great day!

Autumn Peace Progress

Last time I posted (Sept. 5th)

Today:

It's coming along. Got another column finished. I'm really enjoying this project, still, and now that we're almost into Autumn, it's making me excited for the season to change. I've had enough of this sticky, hot , humid summer. I'm ready for fall!!!  Anyone else feel this way too?
Thankyou all for reading, hope you all have a lovely week!

Autumn Peace progress

Last time I shared (Aug. 20th):

Today:

And! I started doing minimal parking. It's ok. I think part of it makes it go faster, but I still have to work around all those threads and that's tedious. So, my mind isn't totally made up on this. I think it'd be easier if I worked on a frame, but I work in hand, so... Yeah.
Still really enjoying this piece.
I have (yet again!) made a change to my rotation.
It was looking like this:
Autumn Peace- focus project (work on everyday)
Sea of Roses- secondary piece(work on 4 days a week)
Ornies work 3 days a week

But! I am SO close to a finish on SOR, that I just want to focus on it and see if I can't get it finished by years end. So, I'm just gonna switch SOR and AP so SOR is my focus piece, and AP gets worked on 4 days a week. Then focus on AP, and then bring in a different WIP near the beginning of next year (probably Day Surrendering to Night, as I Love that one so much!)
I really want to get a finish this year, and I think I can do it! So we'll see how it goes! Wish me luck!

As always, thankyou for dropping in and reading. I really appreciate it!

Autum Peace: Progress!

Last time I posted (Aug. 5th):

Today:

It's stitching up nicely! You can see the start of the trunk of the big tree. That was  (is) A boat load of black stitching!! Works for me! It goes fast, those huge chunks of the same color!
I'm still really enjoying this piece so much! And I'm so excited to start seeing some of the branches and the trunk of the tree coming into play!
Well I'm off to make some lunch. I think grilled cheese and tomato soup sounds so good today. So I'll make that and enjoy some CSI: Miami, then clean up lunch and stitch some more, either on this one, or my ornament. I've been on a big stitchy kick this past week, so I'm so happy about that. My stitchy bug bit me again!! Yay!
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend! Thank you for dropping by! Also thank you for all the lovely comments you guys left with such kind words about my daughter starting kindergarten! She is really enjoying it!
See yah again, in about 5 days!

Autumn Peace Progress

Last time I posted:

Where I got in the past 6 days or so:
I'm almost done with the first column. It's really only a partial column. If you can see where my needle is parked on the top  that's the beginning of the new page.

Also! I think I've decided to crop this design and not stitch the whole thing. It's SO big (15 pages, over 75,000 stitches) and because I want this to be a gift for my mom, I want to finish it as quickly as I can.
So here's the original picture:

Here's what I will be stitching:
So I've just chopped off the ends of both sides. I still think it's pretty, but less time consuming.  So! It's kind of a good thing now looking back, that I messed up and had to start on p. 2, because I'll be cutting off most of 1 anyway.  So it all works out!

Thankyou for stopping by! I hope you all have a lovely weekend! See yah in about 5 days with an update on Sea of Roses.

Mini Happy Dance!!

I finished my first page of Autumn Peace!!!
5,616 stitches done!!!! It only took me 2 months!! Approximately 50 hours!!! Wow!! Now I've only got 56,384 more stitches to go! And about 700 more hours!!! Lol.
Wow!! When I put it that way it seems like it's gonna take me the rest of my life to get it done!! Next page I'm gonna TRY to get it done in less than 2 months! Good luck to me!!
Thank you all for reading! Hope you have a great weekend, I'll be back tomorrow with an update on my ornament.

Autum Peace update

Last time I showed it (June 21st)

Today (a month later):

I am SO close to a finish on this page!! Probably just a few more hours to go and I'll have my first page finish for this project. I can't believe it's taken over a month and a half! But! The ole' stitchy bug just was on summer vacation I guess! But I'm back at it, and I'm sure the next time I post an update on this I will have a page finish.
Thank you for reading, and I hope the rest of your week goes well!

Autumn peace more progress!

Last time I posted:

Now:

So! I've finished half of page 4, now onto the bottom half! I really wanted to finish this page this month, but that's not gonna happen, I'm sure. But oh well! My stitchy bug just has been so elusive lately. So... Anyway.
But I have decided to work in a rotation once again. Stitching on Autumn Peace, Sea of Roses, and ornaments. Autumn Peace will get an hour everyday. SOR will get 4 hours a week and ornies 3 hours a week. That way they are all moving forward. I hate thinking that any of them are just sitting, and not getting any progress on them at all while I'm finishing a whole page of a project before moving on. That also means there will be more to see on my blog, not just the same piece over and over for weeks. Change of scenery so to speak!
Also! Is it just me, or is that brown splotch actually starting to look like trees? Like the dark branches, and areas of sunlight peaking through the leaves? I'm starting to see it, but maybe it's just me!
Hope you have a great week! Thank you for stopping by!

Slow, but steady...Autumn Peace Progress

Last time I shared on Saturday:

Today:

I was able to finish column 4, and move onto five, so there's some progress. I hate that you can't tell what this picture even is! Just a big brown blob.
I'm still enjoying this, my stitchy bug is still hit or miss, but I try to push through and stitch even on the days I really don't feel like it. I really would like to finish this page by the end of the month. We will see about that.
Hope you're all having a lovely week! Until next time- Happy stitching!
