Here's My Story

Normally, when I have sensitive tooth, I'll apply toothpaste specially made for sensitive teeth directly on it for a few minutes, twice a day. It normally takes a few weeks for it to go away. So I did the same to these pair of teeth: one on the upper left and the other on the upper right, almost symmetrically located. I felt the sensitivity only when brushing and so was willing to be patient to wait for the toothpaste to work. However, the left one had gotten more sensitive to the point that I felt it when chewing on hot/warm food. So I went to consult Dr Ting at Ting Dental Surgery . Turned out that it had a slight crack 😢 Coincidentally, the right one was the previously cracked tooth . For the right one, the advice was to monitor. If it worsens, then go for root canal treatment. As for the left one, crowning was recommended, similar to what was done to the right one. Unlike the previous crowning process, this time I opted for the cheaper metal version, rather than the ceramic ve

  The photo didn't capture a fourth Pomeranian that was only visible later. We found it so funny that, instead of being aware of strangers at the front of the house, they were busy looking in. I'm guessing that they were placed outside while the house was being cleaned thoroughly. When we greeted them ("Hello!"), only the right most Pom turned around but incredulously it turned back again after about 2 seconds looking at us. It was only after a couple more greetings that the rest of the cuties noticed us and started barking. Yes, the earlir one also joined in then. Peer pressure hahaha.

Off I went to Butterworth to, among other things, to bring my mum to a spate of health-related appointments: Neurology Once again, the appointment with neurologist was so fast that by the time I parked my car and went to the clinic, it was already over. In summary, my mum gave them the letter containing the results of echocardiogram done at the cardiology clinic (the results are normal), which they kindly gave her a copy of it for our reference. Continue with 7.5mg flunarizine. Symptoms wise: had migraine only four times in a 4-month period, rarely had dizziness, seldom had sinus Ophthalmologist This was a follow-up to the initial appointment 6 months ago . This time it went much faster: about an hour or so. Dryness was ok but still need to continue with the special eye drop. Consider surgery to remove cataract from the right eye after my mum's heart has been checked (read below). Kinpachi remains one of our favourite haunts for special occassions. Not economically viable to have it frequently :) I usually order salmon sushi and....salmon sushi hahaha. This time (we were there to celebrate Ban's birthday) I tried something that caught my eye: softest fishcake. It was truly soft, so much so that it almost melted in my mouth once I bit into it. It was like a mix of tofu and fishcake but much softer than the common ones.  There were four pieces on a plate and that turned out to be too much for me. Would have preferred to have two pieces. Hopefully someone would share a plate with me in future

I was in Butterworth recently for mum's health related appointments and some administrative errands concerning my parents. As blogged previously , there was a mismatch between mum's current thumbprints and the ones in her IC. So we once again went to JPN (National Registration Department), having made an appointment nearly a month ago. I wasn't allowed to accompany my mum inside. My mum later told me this: JPN officer: Why do you want to replace your IC? Mum: Because when I was at the bank, they told me that my thumbprints didn't match those in the IC. I had skin problem before and so probably it changed the pattern. JPN officer: Oh, you don't need a replacement IC. We'll just issue an official letter saying that your thumprints are spoiled. Mum: So I have to bring this letter to the bank? JPN officer: Yes, bring it with you all the time and show it each time thumbprints are needed. We're surprised at this and, rightfully, worried about the trouble this migh

(The following conversation is inspired by a couple of conversations in real life.) Friend: I joined MMA competition few years back. Ban: Oh, how did you do? Friend: I didn't get to the next stage. Ban: So you lost, huh? Friend: No Us: ??? Friend: I beat my opponent in Round 1 but I withdrew from Round 2 because I ran out of stamina. So it's a draw. Us: ??????

As stated in the previous post, apparently my party was underleveled: they were expected to be around level 50 when doing the final encounter. I tried to employ a recommended strategy for just trying to kill the boss the soonest. Killing each of its minion would triggle a global damage that had a damage multiplier of 1.75. Eeeek. However, I was frustrated with the heals it got from draining healths from his minions, who themselves weren't weak. So I switched tactic to kill them first, which required good timing (otherwise could accientally die) and lots of healing.

The toughest battle was the 3rd last map in the Ancient Path node. As usual, before attempting the final map, Ancient Tomb, I check out Fell Seal gamespedia for potential headache. I was curious whether anyone attempted the first strategy of trying to quickly kill the boss and so for the first time, I searched for a gameplay. I came across this horror: I watched enough of it to recognise that this was going to be tough, with one particular detail stood out for me: the boss's Natural Weapon's range was 10! Wth lol. Those were mighty long claws or something. I searched neoseeker for more detailed strategy and was surprised that they said, "This might actually be the easiest battle in the entire Ancient Path, which certain provisos - your party has to be offensively competent and equipped with either Riftwalker, or more Jet Boots, the latter being far easier to obtain." This is the toughest fight so far for me. The main culprit was the Demon Knight / Assassin, who could hover. So not only could she instakill by using Sabotage on my non-hovering characters, she got another turn each time she killed because of Cleave and then could potentially kill another one immediately because of Boon and using a high-damage ability e.g. Enraged Blow. As with previous battles where there were enemies that could perform environmental kills due to hover vs non-hover, I tried to position my characters strategically to avoid it. I loath replacing their gears with Hover boots: it would be a downgrade to their stats. However, after having tried like at least 5 times, I gave up and upon Ban's advice, I used those boots but I had only 2 pairs of such boots. Together with Bzaro (Pektite can hover), I had only 3 characters who could hover and so I still had to be very careful.
