Vibrant Vases.....Birthday

 Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Today's card features the Vibrant Vases stamp set and my interpretation
of the sketch this week at

I love working with the sketches on this challenge blog, they almost always stretch me
way beyond my comfort zone. Which is a good thing.
I pulled out the Vibrant Vases stamp set, I won this set awhile back and
had not used it. But when looking at the sketch I thought that vases might work
for the rectangles.
I first stamped the flower images onto some scrap thick whisper white with
black stazon ink,
I then colored with my water brush and ink pads using Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz.
I then stamped the Vases with Soft Sky ink and fussy cut out everything.
There is a matching punch to this set, I will have to get that soon.
The base of the card is thick whisper white followed by a piece of Basic Black card stock.
I then used another piece of whisper white and embossed with the Subtle EF.
I added a strip of Basic Black across the embossed piece to "sit" my vase on.

My sentiment comes from the You're Inspiring stamp set. I stamped it before embossing.
I finished up with some basic rhinestones and pearls.

Thanks for coming by today.

Stippled Rose Birthday

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today's card features the challenge at

I used just the sketch.
I love the retired Stippled Blossom stamp set and I decide to give it a bit of love again.
This card is so much prettier in person, for some reason it didn't photograph well.

I used Daffodil Delight for the roses and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.

My base is thick Whisper White and then another layer of white embossed with the Basket
Weave EF.
I added a strip of Daffodil Delight.

I fussy cut a butterfly from some DSP and added it to my flowers.

I stamped and cut out the sentiment from the You're Inspiring stamp set.

I finished with a few little basic rhinestones.

Thanks for coming by.

SUO...Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

It is time for a new challenge at SUO Challenges.

This week is especially fun  because is is

DESIGNER'S CHOICE!

Make whatever you like, just keep it Stampin' Up only!

I chose to use the You're Inspiring stamp set.
I first created my blue water colored background using Pacific Point ink.
I then die cut with the rectangle stitched dies my frame with thick Whisper White card stock.

I then colored my flowers, I stamped with black stazon onto thick whisper white and colored with
Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. I used Pear Pizza for the leaves.
I then fussy cut them out.
I used my exacto knife to get into a few areas. I wanted my BG to show through all the areas
around the leaves, so a lot of effort went into cutting out those areas.

I then added the flowers to my piece with dimensionals.
I die cut my sentiments using the Well Written and Well Said sets.
I used a piece of Velum to mount the sentiments.

I debated on my base a bit but finally went with So Saffron to mount it all on.
I finished with a few sticky rhinestones.

We would love for you to join us!!

Thanks for coming by.

Hello Friend

Happy Friday Peeps!!!

Today's card share features the sketch this week at

I really love the You're Inspiring set and I used it to try and duplicate one of the
daffodils in my yard.

I love the white with just a hint of yellow and green.

Really hard to capture the beauty of it and
of course,  my card doesn't really come close either.

But I kept it light and just added a hint of daffodil delight and a touch of pear pizzazz.
The leaves and stems are colored with Pear Pizzazz as well.

I used Soft Sky to add some blue around the flowers.

The DSP I used comes from the Needlepoint Nook pack.
I added a scallop die strip using some So Saffron card stock.
I used some white twine pulled from the Flax ribbon to wrap around a tie a bow.

I used the Well Written framelits and matching stamps for my Hello Friend sentiment.

I finished with a few sticky sequins.

Thanks for coming by.

With Sympathy

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card made with the challenge this week at

I started out by stamping my daffodils onto some thick
whisper white card stock with black stazon ink.

I colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I used Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky inks.

The daffodils are a stamp in the You're Inspiring stamp set.

The sentiment comes from the SAB Lasting Lily stamp set.

I smeared a bit of ink on my piece and ended up having to cut down my front and
add it to a new base piece. Always happens when I am trying to do a no layer card.

I finished it up with a few yellow sequins from the Gingham Gala Sequin pack.

Thanks for coming by.

Lovely Lattice Happy Birhday

 Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Over at The Flower Challenge they are asking for us to use or newest Stamps or Dies.

I really love the flowers on this stamp and I really enjoy coloring them.

I stamped the image with black stazon onto thick whisper white
and colored with my water brush and ink pads.

I then fussy cut out and set aside to do the rest of the card.
The base is Crumb Cake card stock and then an embossed layer of white, I used the Subtle EF.
The pretty gingham is from the Gingham Gala pack.
I added a die cut scallop strip from the Be Mine Framelits
followed by a small strip of crumb cake

The flower piece is added o the base with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the You're Inspiring set.
I heat embossed it with white embossing powder on a small strip of
basic black card stock.
I finished with a few little sequins from the Gingham Gala Adhesive Back Sequin pack.

Thoughts and Prayers

Happy Friday Peeps!

Last week I was playing around with this fun set, called You're Inspiring.

I love the daffodils in this set.
I stamped the flower image on some thick whisper white card stock with black stazon.
I colored them with my water brush and ink pads.

I used daffodil delight and pink pirouette for the flowers
and wild wasabi for the stems and leaves.

I used some soft sky to go around the flowers.

The sentiment is from the Wishing You Well stamp set.

I added a few rhinestones to finish it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I am looking forward to a new year.
Change is the key word for us this year. Stay tuned for more on that.

I am sharing a card I made using the sketch at Mojo Monday.

This was a great sketch to work with.

I started by pulling out my Southern Serenade stamp set.
I stamped the pretty flower image with black stazon on thick whisper whiter card stock.
I colored using Calypso Coral and Old Olive ink pads with my water brush.

I fussy cut out that flower image, no small feat I might add...LOL!!!

I mounted it to a piece that I stamped with a lacey image from the same set. I  stamped using black memento ink but first off stamped once to get the lighter color.

The flower is then added to that panel with several dimensionals.

I matted this piece with some basic black cardstock.

The base of the card is thick whisper white cardstock.
The coral DSP is from a retired pack.
The black DSP is from the neutrals DSP

I added  the main image panel to the card with more dimensionals.

The sentiment on here comes from the You're Inspiring set.
I added a few basic pearls on the flowers and around the image to finish it up.

Thanks for coming by today.
