Sending Hugs

Happy Friday Peeps!

How are you all doing?
Things are changing everyday and my hope for everyone is that they
are able to stay well. Stay home and flatten the curve.

I have spent some of my free time making pretty things. It helps
to distract the mind and calm the nerves.

What do you do when facing uncertain times?

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at

I used The ornate Border Dies and the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder  from the Suite:

They are so pretty, you all know I love floral stamps and cards. They are
my favorite to make.

I also used the pretty Bird Ballad DSP and did something I rarely do.
I cut the pretty image from the paper to add to my card.
I have seen a lot of people do this when the paper came out but I hadn't done so til now.
It makes a pretty card don't you think?

The base of the card is Pool Party and the border die is cut using thick Whisper White.

My sentiment comes from the SAB set Tags in Bloom.
I stamped with Versamark ink and then embossedssed with white embossing powder.

I fussy cut it out and added it to the card with glue and dimensionals.

Hello Peeps!!!

So sorry for the long silence here on the ol' blog.

I have had a hard time getting back to my craft table after the holidays.
I could give you a million and one reasons but in the end I guess I just needed the break.

Anyway I pulled out this amazing set from the Occasions catalog called Forever Blossoms.

It is so pretty, don't you think?
I also am using the sketch at

I began by stamping the image onto thick Whisper White card stock with Black Stazon ink.
I colored with my Aqua Painter and ink pads.
I used Poppy Parade and Old Olive inks.
I used the matching dies to cut it out.

A couple of other new iems on this card are the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.

I hand cut the partial circle and then embossed. I matted that piece with some Basic Black card stock.

The sentiment on here is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
I samped with Versamark onto Basic Black and embossed with White Embossing Powder.
I cu out the strip and used the Tailored Tag punch to flag the end.

The floral cut out piece is added to the card with dimensionals
and the sentiment strip is tucked under the stem of the flower.

I went back in with my white gel pen and highlighted the centers of the flowers a bit.

I added a few basic rhinestones and some white twine wrapped around my sentiment strip and added a small bow as well.

Harvest Blessings

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today's card share is made using the sketch this week at

I hadn't made a pumpkin using oval dies in a quite a long time so that is what I
thought I would do with this sketch.
I had some Black and White Buffalo Check scraps that was leftover from another project,
so I pulled them out to make my pumpkin.
The Buffalo Check background stamp was used with
Black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.
I used the Stitched Shapes Dies, using one of the Ovals in the set.
I die cut 3 ovals and layered them up to make my trendy little Buffalo Plaid Pumpkin.
The two back ovals are laid fla and overlapped and glued together in the middle, I then added the front oval over the back two ovals with a couple of dimensionals.

I hand cut with a piece of Basic Black scrap the little stem.

The base of my Card is thick Whisper White. I followed that with a piece of
Cherry Cobbler card stock.
I used a piece of Basic Black and embossed with the Subtle EF.

The top strip is made up of Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.
I used a die in the Stitched Nested Labels dies across the top and bottom of the
Whisper White piece.

The pumpkin is added to the card with dimensionals.
I felt the card needed a pop of something and I went looking at my sets and came across
the Frosted Foliage set that has these pretty berries.
I stamped them with Black Stazon on thick whisper white.
Colored with Cherry Cobbler ink pad and my Aqua Painter and then fussy cut them out.

I tucked one in behind the pumpkin and one coming down onto the pumpkin.

I added a brush of Wink of Stella on the berries for some added shine.

The sentiment comes from the Country Home set.

I finished with a few little rhinestones and a small bow made with strands pulled from the
Flax Ribbon.
