Half-Term Break: The Ice Rink at Natural History Museum

Assalamualaikum

When the girls saw the ice rink and other kids skating at Natural History museum, they got excited and completely forgot about going to Hyde Park. They instantly begged me to go for skating..Oh not again..and it was impossible girls! Kesian..but they did not have any skating experience..so it's a big no. But after they watched a few kids and adults fell off onto the ice they stopped begging me. Hehe..

The day was beautiful! It was pretty bright and sunny hence the place was crowded since it was school holiday. Due to the warm weather, the ice quickly melted and the rink was quite slippery so it's quite challenging for the skaters. Nonetheless, the number of skaters increased towards the evening and the place was happening!

For the tickets if i'm not mistaken, it was GBP8 for each child and GBP13 for each adult and can be bought at the ticket counter nearby. The price is still considered cheap at the moment because usually the price will go up during Christmas and Chrismas school holiday like in previous year.

We just enjoyed watching other people skating. The girls still had fun though they did not have a chance to skate. Happy aje, dan seronok tengok the staffs skating while showing some ballerina skills. Had a good time indeed. Good girls, mummy love you two! ;)

Later, i'd treated them both a ride on a marry-go-around for being sporting. They both were thrilled! Hehe. Luckily, Zafri felt asleep! Sebab dia tak cukup tinggi, ketidak sure mengamuk nak naik jugak ikut Along and Angah huhu.

Actually, children who are below the specifiied height could still go on a marry go around but must be accompanied by their parents. But in my case, nobody can keep an eye on our belongings if i had to joined in..tak pelah Zafri maybe next time plak..;))

Anyway the girls had fun riding on a marry-go-around. They moved so fast! It was hard to take their picture without being blurred. Haha. Anyway, I'd enjoyed taking their pictures and others. The picture below was my favourite! i just simply loved the clear blue sky and the magnificent building of Natural History museum. I miss both already..:'( (now the weather is already cold, dull and gloomy. Sejuk, brrr..!!)

We stayed there until Zafri awaked and Babah finished his work. Babah and Zafri also enjoyed the crowds. After having some chips and juice, we took bus to go to Bayswater to eat and pray at Malaysian Hall canteen. Afterwards we managed strolling at Kensington Gardens and played at Princess Diana Memorial Park until it closed.

Phewww, all have done in a day! It's so tiring but always satisfying..we really enjoyed ourselves..the most important thing that my kids were happy. Alhamdulillah. :)

Half-Term Break: V & A Museum

Assalamualaikum

Finally, we minus Babah managed to visit Victoria & Albert museum during half-term break last week. Babah did not joined us as he got to finish his experiment at the lab..poor Babah. Hopefully, Babah will finish it soon. Amin...!

Like other museums such as Natural History and British Science museum, V & A museum's admission is also free. Best, kan! So we did not want to miss visiting it.

At the entrance, we were given a pamphlete about children current activity held in the museum. There were quite number of activities that were interesting to join in.

First we decided to watch a children theatre as we have never experienced it before. It was only 25 minutes performance but it was more than enough. Kids cepat boring, kan? Almost at the end ramai dah main naik turun tangga theatre hall tu including my kids :D but the theatre was not bad at all. The performer pandai attract the kids' attention and made them participated as well ;)

After the theatre, we thought to have a lunch at a cafe inside the museum but we'd found the lunch hall on the way down to the cafe! So apalagi, buka bekallah weols. Jimat..hihihi. Mummy sempat solat zuhur lagi kt situ..alhamdulillah.

After lunchie, we visited the art and jewellery gallery but it's not too long. Zafri dah boring, ngantuk and start merengek tak nak duduk dalam stroller. Uncontrollable for me..so i decided to make a move and that's end of our museum tour that day.

In conclusion, V & A museum is the least attractive museum for kids. The art painting was too high for kids to see and the bare-naked scultures were too much for them. Zahin said the place was haunting, tu diaa. Dia dah la memang penakut macam mummy haha..so tak sesuai!

For adults, there are many to be seen and digested in this museum. Kene amik masa juga. Too bad i did not have a chance to see the royal bridal wedding dress and Islamic section. Huhu maybe next time with Babah plak or when the kids get older..in shaa Allah kalau ada rezeki dan panjang umur. Amin..! :))

Next, we planned to go to Hyde Park but we skipped it as soon as we saw the ice rink at Natural History Museum's compound. Wee! The girls squealed in delight and begged me to go there hihi.

Ok Will share about it in the next post..in shaa Allah.

Autumn 2014

Assalamualaikum

Autumn has been good so far. The view and surroundings are beautiful, masya Allah. The leaves already turned into a golden colour and scattered on the ground..subhanallah

It's a school holiday now. We spent most of the time at home while Babah has been busy at the lab. But two days ago, after Babah came back we all went to Victoria Park as it was sunny. So we did not want to miss it

The park looked so gorgeous with shades of colours hence we took pictures. Kids were also happily running and crunching on the leaves. What a precious moment..we're gonna miss Autumn soon

Lastly, hope you enjoy the pictures! :)

Ps. i had undergone a surgical management (lbh krg DnC) to remove tissue in my womb due to miscarriage thursday last week. According to doc, it's a short and safe surgery if there's no complication.

it would be just around 15 minutes and I'll be awaked after half an hour BUT I only woke up after 4 hours! Allahu Akbar...i lost words as soon as i looked at my watch. I hope it's taken as Kifarah for all the sins i've done before. Huhu Only Allah knows how thankful i am to be alived..*cry*

Salam Maal Hijrah 1436. May this new year brings goodness, happiness and success to all of us. Amin..

Hampton Court Palace, London

Assalamualaikum

Recently a good friend kindly gave us his company corporate season pass which includes five free tickets to Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and the Banquet House. How lovely!

The admission fee per person for all the places is quite pricey actually, so we were over the moon and kindly accepted the offer! ^^ (Jazakumullah Bro S and his wife, Sis I :))

It's hard to decide when all of the above are in the wishlist but finally we decided to visit Hampton Court Palace! Heheh.

The palace is located in West London and we headed there by car on last saturday. And the weather was good too!

Kensington Gardens

Assalamualaikum

It has been already few times we took kids to Kensington Gardens. Reason being, it is the nearest park within walking distance from Imperial College London and also Bayswater. Not only the kids love going there,  but we adults love it too. :D

So from the previous post, after taking pictures at Royal Albert Hall, me and Zafri crossed the busy road towards Queen's Gate, Kensington Gardens. But worry not, we only crossed when the traffic light turn green for pedestrian. ;D

Queen's Gate, Kensington Gardens.

Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens from afar

Yay, i'm free now

A nice cafe to eat sandwich and have a drink for a short break
It was such a big relief for me when entering the park. It was much more peaceful. Hehe. And i quickly released Zafri from his stroller because i knew it was already safe for him to walk and run around the area. And FYI, actually cycling is not allowed in the park for safety reason. So thoughtful, right?

Hi i'm here, Doggie! :P

I wanna dance on the grass, Mommy..:P

Can we go there, Mommy? :)

Kensington Gardens at the end of Winter..most of trees were still leafless..but the view was still beautiful, subhanallah. :)

Come quickly, mommy..:P

Kensington Palace ;)

My dream came true when i saw Kensington Palace in front of my eyes. If we were lucky, we might bump into Kate Middleton and Prince George. :P

But in my dreams only! hehe. Since there are benches provided along the path so i thought to rest our feet for a while. But my active boy would not let me, he wanted to have a walk again. Tsk!

Amik gambar dulu

friendly girl vs anti-social boy :P

Let's go mommy

Ok, take my picture now :D

Welcome to Kensington Palace, mommy . Ngeee...Lol

the back of the palace

visitor's entrance
At first, i thought to visit Kensington Palace and entered from the visitor's entrance with other visitors. But then Zafri ran off and went outside the palace. So i just gave in, i was sure that he would be boring inside and i would not enjoyed touring the palace if he got cranky and made a scene. So i kinda missed it. Well, maybe next time..in shaa Allah. :)

sedapnya dia lepak kt luar ni

Kensington Palace front

the compound of the palace is so neat and well-kept :)
Kensington Palace is the former home of  late Princess Diana and now is a royal residence of  Prince Willian and Kate Middleton as well as Prince George ;)

A Statue of Queen Victoria

Round Pound in front of Kensington Palace. :)
One more place in Kensington Gardens that i always wanted to go and see was Round Pound. But unfortunately the fence was built around it, a little bit frustrated there but there must be a reason behind it like a safety issue so i tried to chill back. :P

Since by that time we were already hungry so we took out our snack like chocolates and juice and that's enough to give us some energy before taking a proper lunch. :)

Anyway, we went near to the fence to take pictures of the birds and ducks in the pond and on the ground. They were so many of them and they were gorgeous. :)

Hello Gorgeous!
