Happy Birthday Mum (and a note...)
Before I show you the card I've made today... I have some exciting news! But... I'm not going to tell you. It's killing me not too, really! I've been sitting on this for weeks - and let me tell you I just don't have that much patience! But I've kept it this long, so I'm going to keep my trap shut for just a few days more... however... if you come back on Sunday, I promise to share!
Until then, I hope you like my newest card!
My Grandmother turns 93 tomorrow and this is the card my Mum asked me to make for her.
I used papers from First Edition (j'adore paper pack) layered on dark blue card and paired it with this gorgeous poppies image from Aurora Wings and a computer generated sentiment (font: callie hand). I coloured the poppies with my promarkers (lipstick red, berry red, poppy red, slate, pear green and marsh green). I kept the embellishment light, with a punched butterfly and a few pearls.
I'm submitting this to:

- Bunny Zoe's Crafts (June Challenge) - Layers

Scrap-tastic
Gosh I've been busy lately. I was away for the weekend a couple of weeks ago and ever since I feel like I've hardly had a minute! This is only the second card I've managed since I got home! But thankfully, I think things are quietening down a bit now, so hopefully I'll have a little more crafty time.
Today's card, comes from my over zealous use of Papermania's happy days paper pack - *lots* of scraps left over! I lightly distressed the edges of the paper, added a sentiment from crafters companion and embellished with a button, some twine and gems.
I'm submitting this too:
- Retro Sketches #119 - Sketch
- Crafting When We Can #71 - Left Overs (use scraps only)
- Craft Your Passion #218 - Use 3 or more embellishments
- Creative Inspirations #270 - Tie It Up (include a bow on your creation)

I Hope Your Birthday Goes Swimmingly
I was so excited by this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge - mythical creatures are some of my favourite things! This lovely mermaid is a pollycraft digi and I've coloured her of course with my ProMarkers! The papers are from papermania and layered on brown card. The sentiment is computer generated and I embellished with (surprise surprise, lol) a few gems.
I'm submitting this for:
- Passion for ProMarkers #250 - Mythical Creatures
- I Love ProMarkers #222 - Digi Does It
- The Pink Elephant # 253 - The Colour Orange

Ewe Rock!
Oh the trouble I had with this card, I started it yesterday and ended up finishing it this morning because I was slowly losing my mind, as it wasn't doing what I wanted it too! (nothing new there, I know, lol!)
I cut a black cardbase, grabbed my washi tape, from stampin' up and created a herringbone pattern, layering that on red card.
The image and sentiment are from bugaboo, cut out and coloured with my promarkers. I added a little more washi tape to the sentiment banner, finally embellishing with just a few punched stars and gems.
I'm submitting this for
- My Time to Craft #250 - No Design Paper
- Crafty Sentiments Designs - Anything Goes
- CAS(E) this Sketch #78 - Sketch
- Shopping Our Stash #154 - Critters

Have a Heroic Birthday
A mans card today - although my inner geek!girl really thinks there is no reason I can't send it too any of my similarly geek!girl friends, lol! - with a cute little image from Digital Delights, coloured with my promarkers.
The paper is from papermania, the sentiment is computer generated and of course, I couldn't resist adding a few gems *g*
I'm submitting this for:
- Digi Sketch Challenge - Use a Stamp and/or Sketch
- Delightful Challenges - It's a Guy Thing

Congratulations, On Your Wedding Day
It's been simply ages since I've done a wedding card and I don't even know anyone who is getting married any time soon, but I recently bought this adorable image from bugaboo when I was having a little spending spree and I just had to use it!
I added the computer generated sentiment, coloured the image with my promarkers and paired it with papers from First Choice's j'adore set - what better for a wedding card? - distressing, ripping and scrunching the paper.
I embellished fairly simply with a little heart embellishment I had stashed in my embellishment box, some pearls, a butterfly punch and a little safty pin and button brad, from stampin up.
I'm submitting this for:
- Sunday Sketch & Stamp #209 - Sketch
- Oh La La Challenge Blog #157 - Bear it All
- Craft Your Passion Challenge #216 - Rip It! Tear It!
- Paper Makeup Stamps #143 - Anything Goes
