Scrap-tastic

Gosh I've been busy lately. I was away for the weekend a couple of weeks ago and ever since I feel like I've hardly had a minute! This is only the second card I've managed since I got home! But thankfully, I think things are quietening down a bit now, so hopefully I'll have a little more crafty time.

Today's card, comes from my over zealous use of Papermania's happy days paper pack - *lots* of scraps left over! I lightly distressed the edges of the paper, added a sentiment from crafters companion and embellished with a button, some twine and gems.

I'm submitting this too:
- Retro Sketches #119 - Sketch
- Crafting When We Can #71 - Left Overs (use scraps only)
- Craft Your Passion #218 - Use 3 or more embellishments
- Creative Inspirations #270 - Tie It Up (include a bow on your creation)

"Less is More" #88 - Silver

An extremely quick, clean and simple card for this weeks Less is More. The challenge is to use silver, so I decided to make use of some of the outline stickers I have but rarely ever use anymore. I'm not sure where these ones are from (I've long since forgotten!) but they are silver outlines, with a glittery middle and rather pretty. All I did was line them up in the center and stick them on. I didn't add any other embellishments, because I didn't feel anything suited.

With Love - Rocking Chair

I used papers from the New Leaf pack on this card, matted on card from craft essentials. The image is from digi doodle shop, coloured with promarkers: spice, terracotta, pear green, marsh green, honeycomb, amber, bright orange and burgandy.

The sentiment is from craftwork essentials and I embellished with ribbon from sew sweet and a button and pearls from my stash.

I'm submitting this for:
- Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge #147 - sketch
- The Play Date Cafe #151 - Wine, Pumpkin and Moss
- Creative Inspirations #182 - Bingo! (Ribbon, Pearls, Stamp)

With Love

br> I used papermania hampstead papers matted on green for this card. The image is lily of the valley, coloured with promarkers: sandstone, caramel, poppy, ruby, pear green, marsh green, cool grey 3, cool grey 4 and dusky rose.

I added ribbon from sew sweet, a few pearls from my stash and the sentiment stamp came from crafts beautiful magazine, I stamped it in black, then again in red, cutting out the center heart and gluing it to the black sentiment.

I'm submitting this for:
- Cupcake Craft Challenge #207 - Flowers (Use an image with a flower)
- Papertake Weekly - A Bit of A Free for All (Sketch - See Below)
- Party Time Tuesdays #83 - Anything Goes
- I Love ProMarkers #132 - Anything Goes

For Papertake Weekly, I picked one of their sketches from 29 November 2011 - changing the shape of the image layer.

A Few Quick Cards

This first one was done with a digi stamp from Beccy's Place, coloured with promarkers - pear green, caramel, sandstone and poppy. I used dimensional's to give it some, well, dimension... and finished with a sentiment from a me-to-you stamp set.

This one I used brown paper, layered with New Leaf papers by Mindy Terasawa. I cut the flowers from the upper layer of brown paper, with my x-cut dies before affixing it, added the sentiment in white ink and a few gems to finish.

This card uses a digistamp from Desert Diva simply printed, coloured the quill with cool grey 3 and 4 promarkers, cut with nesties, backed onto black card and a few gems added.

"Less is More": Week 63

This weeks "Less is More" challenge is a one layer card, with doodling.

Alas, my doodling skills are seriously lacking, so I fell back on faux stitching, which as about as far as my doodling skills extend! I used turquoise papermania ink pads directly onto the card and the butterflies (can't recall where it's from) in black ink, added the sentiment (magazine freebie) in turquoise and drew in the faux stitching with a lestraset fine line drawing pen.

Swinging Friends

The Sweet Shop is celebrating it's 3rd birthday this month and are having fun with past sketches, which I love as it's an excuse to go look at sketches from before I found the blog/that I've missed since! I picked Sketch 144:

I used the adorable Swinging Friends image from Pollycraft, coloured with promarkers - chestnut, caramel, sandstone, blush, cool grey 3, cool grey 4, rose pink, dusky rose, amber, honeycomb, bright orange and apple. The paper is Thimbles 'n Threads, from Nitwit Collections, layered on orange card from the paper company. I used the bright orange promarker to - partially - colour my sentiment stamp, which is daisy and dandelion and finished with felt flower embellishments.

I'm also entering this card for the following challenges:
- Pollycraft Monday Challenge #135: Fabric (Felt flowers)
- Simon Says - April Showers bring Spring Flowers
- Cute Card Thursday - Spring Flowers
- Aud Sentiments #52 - Spring Summer Colours

"Less is More": Week 55

The "Less is More" Challenge this week was to use Punches or Die Cuts on your card.

I don't have a lot of choice with either, I need to build up my collection of die cuts and punches, so I had to 'resort' to using my nestie dies.

I used the scraps from papermania hampstead, cut with my square nesties along with a square of red card stock. Cut a circle with my nesties for my sentiment, and a scalloped circle to layer it. Stamped the birdhouse from a freebie I got in a magazine - coloured with duck egg and pear green promarkers, and the sentiment from Daisy&Dandelion, using a few pearls from my stash to finish it off.

CSP 5th Anniversary - Day 15

Woot, I have done them all! This is the final sketch for Card Positioning System's 5th Anniversary! I've really enjoyed playing along can't wait to go back and see what other people have done now that I'm finished.

Day 15 is hosted by Kim Moreno and Flower Soft.

CPS Sketch #231

I also followed the Recipe from Paper Creations Ink Challenge #118:
~ 1 Image
~ 2 Patterned Papers
~ 3 Embellishments

And used colours from Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge #6

I used a Lily of the Valley image, coloured with Promarkers - Buttercup, Amber, Bright Orange, Lime Green, Marine, Blush, Lime Zest, Mustard, Sand Stone, Caramel, Amethyst.

The patterned papers are Bo Bunny. The brown cardstock is from the Paper Mill. The sentiment was a freebie, I forget where exactly I got it, stamped with papermania ink. And lastly I finished off with three little gems for my embellishments.

I am also submitting this for Charisma Cardz Challenge #5 'Things with Wings' and A Gem of a Challenge #39 'Fairies'
