CAS Mothers Day

PSST - I HAVE BLOG CANDY!

A quick CAS card this afternoon because my brain is to busy being dead to do anything more complicated!

I cut a base card in red, layered it with a scrap bit of white card and used a scrap of paper from my scraps box - no idea where it came from! The Stamp is from Flonz and I stamped it with papermania pigment ink, stamped the sentiment from stampin up with the same ink and used x-cut dies to cut the circles and a dovecraft punch for the heart, adding a small gem to complete the card.

I'm submitting this too:
- Unscripted Sketches #197 - Sketch
- Clear it Out - Stash: red/white items Theme: anything goes

Alles Liebe zum Muttertag

PSST - I HAVE BLOG CANDY!

When a friend saw yesterdays mothers day card, she was reminded she needed one too, so asked me to make one (and a fathers day card, but that will be for another day!). Her Mum enjoys gardening, so I used this sweet little image from Pollycraft, coloured with my promarkers: pear green, marsh green, olive green, manderin, bright orange, honeycomb, amber, gold, mustard, shale, caramel, warm grey 2, blush, vanilla and soft peach.

The papers are from the new leaf paper pack and (although the picture insists on making it look black!) the base card is a dark brown, from papermill direct. The sentiment is computer generated, I punched a butterfly from the paper and added pearls from my stash to complete it.

I'm submitting this for:
- Freshly Made Sketches #72 - A Sketch by Cindy
- Moving Along With the Times - Only Girls Allowed!!
- Chocolate, Coffee and Cards #32 - Hobbies

The first of several mothers day cards I need to make this month, this one uses papers from Authentique's Curiosity collection on a stampin' up daffodil delight basecard. The image is from Cornish Heritage Farms, coloured with promarkers: slate, cool grey 4, cool grey 3, warm grey 2, warm grey 1, yellow, canary, buttercup, mustard, meadow green, lime green, pear green, marsh green, olive green and caramel.

MUM

Today I decided to sit down and make my Mothers Day Card for my Mum. I'm actually going to be away from home over Mothers Day (I have actually just realised this and I don't think Mum has yet, oops...) but I'll leave the cards behind for her and my Gran.

I had a lot of trouble deciding what do to for this card... but in the end, I turned to the challenge blogs and put a few of them together to design the finished card.

I used Wild Rose Studio's 'in love with Japan' papers. The image is Lily of the Valley, coloured with Promarkers - lavendar, cornflower, duck egg, sandstone, mustard, china blue, sky blue, amythyst, lilac, caramel. The buttons, ribbon and charm all came from my stash (and mostly from the discount craft bins in bargain books - I love that place! lol!)

The challenges I used/am submitting too are:
Paper Play Challenges '12 - Week 8 - For A Mother (I didn't use the optional 'paper charm' part of the challenge)
Colour Create Challenge Blog #90 - Lilac, Blue, White and Kraft

Mothers Day Flowers

Thinking ahead a little, I decided to do a mothers day card.

I used cardabilities sketch #49 for my layout...

I largely picked the colours based on the fact I saw a bit of purple card sitting on top of my scraps box and went 'oh that'll do' lol. The purple cardstock is from the paper mill, the pink paper was a freebie in a magazine, it has a very, very faint pattern on it, but it's almost impossible to see normally, let alone in the image... I used petaloo flowers and coloured them with dusky rose, rose pink, lilac, lavender and amethyst promarkers. The flourish is a sizzix die cut from a scrap bit of paper and the sentiment is stampin' up. I finished it with pearls from my stash on the flowers.

I'm also submitting this to:
Cute Card Thursday #204 - Flower Power
My Mums Craft Shop Challenge 44 - Swirls and Pearls
Saturday Challenge #173 - Bingo Card
- I used swirls, flowers and pearls.

Mothers Day Card

Here is the first card I am posting here.
This card I made for my Grandmother for Mothers Day. I bought some stitching templates and decided it would be cool to use one of them on this card, not 100% perfect, but I'm pleased with how it turned out :)
