Nests of Winter Card Class: Card #4 with Paper Pumpkin Nests of Christmas

The October Paper Pumpkin kit coordinates beautifully with the Nests of Winter suite!  I had to nestle the cardinal inside the pine bough frame (cut from Seasons of Elegance DSP).

I stamped the cardinal onto Real Red cardstock & then fussy cut. I added a little shading with markers.  I liked him perched on the bottom corner of the frame with extra die cut pine springs & two metallic gold mesh leaves. The birchwood 3D embossing folder added nice texture to the background.

If you aren’t yet familiar with the Paper Pumpkin subscription, learn more HERE.  You sign up by the 10th each month for the monthly kit (and can pause or cancel anytime prior to the 10th if you don’t care for the peek of that month).

September 2024 Paper Pumpkin

This past weekend, I was able to sit down and play with my September 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit.  (Learn more about the Paper Pumpkin subscription kits HERE- and the current October kit is available for 40% off to new subscribers only with the code HOLIDAY40!) Here are the three cards for September as instructed in the guide.

This month's kit made nine cards, three each of three designs.  You receive a Stampin' block in your first kit.  Every kit includes a Stampin' Spot (small ink), and this month's color is Cajun Craze.  Below you'll see how I customized the first card by adding some twine from the Nests of Winter collection.

For the second card design, I first added Night of Navy twine from the Nests of Winter collection and some faux glass dots.

For the third card, I folded the card "backwards" so that the pretty pattern was on the inside and then folded the front cover back to create a Z-fold style card.  I used Night of Navy ink and added some gold mesh leaves along with the faux glass dots.  (I love this one so much!)

For the second wood grain card, I used the "back" and added some Nests of Winter twine and faux glass dots.

For the third version, I cut up an envelope from the first (square) card because I plan to mail one of them in a regular envelope rather than pay extra postage for a square envelope.  I used the same Z-fold as I did on the second style card but turned it.  (If I could make this one again, the leaf on the left wouldn't stick out quite so far.). I embellished with twine and gold mesh leaves.

If you're a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can skip a month or cancel at any time easily.  The 10th of the month is the last day to make changes if you aren't sure that the preview is for you.  (I personally cannot wait for the October Nest of Christmas kit!)  If you're not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet, you can't go wrong signing up now (by Oct. 10) for the October kit at 40% off!  (Learn more HERE.)

August Paper Pumpkin Reveal

The Paper Pumpkin subscription is so fun!  This box included TWO stamp sets, a Night of Navy stampin' spot, and rose gold twine.  (I am loving the rose gold accents!  So fancy!)  I made most of the cards from my box recently, and here are the three styles.

The first card has preprinted balloons and then you stamp several more.  The die cut balloons with the rose gold foil accents are popped with Stampin' Dimensionals foam tape.

The second card will be so much fun to give for a BIG birthday!  Here it is all tied up:

And then it opens (and opens and opens) accordion-style to reveal the sentiment panel!

The final design is a yummy slice of cake with a pretty candle and fork.

Did you know that as a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can often buy refills for your kit (to make even more cards) and there are exclusive add-ons each quarter?  This quarter's add-ons include a die of the "Hooray" sentiment.  You can learn more and subscribe HERE.

Paper Pumpkin Kit: December 2023 Cards 7-9/9

Here are the final three cards from the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit.  Again, the first one followed the instructions exactly.

The second one has more stamping and less flowers.

The third one changed the direction of the card but kept it pretty much the same as the original (with a little additional stamping).

Which one do you like best?

The Paper Pumpkin kit includes EVERYTHING you need to create these gorgeous cards (plus a gift box in this kit that I haven't made yet).  Learn more about Paper Pumpkin HERE.

Paper Pumpkin Kit: December 2023 Cards 4-6/9

I’m back to showcase the second set of Paper Pumpkin cards from the December 2023 kit that I received in my Stampin' Up! starter kit!

Again, I created the first card following the directions, but then of course I had to go rogue for the second card.  I trimmed the white panel down by about a quarter inch on two adjacent sides, and then cut the panel into 4/4 to space out like tiles on the card front.  I added one of the gold tiny flowers that should’ve been used on another project to complete this card.  (The gold is so much prettier in person than what I can show in the photograph.)

My final card is fairly true to the original, but with a different, shorter sentiment.

Here are this set of three of the nine cards.

Paper Pumpkin Kit: December 2023 Cards 1-3/9

Paper Pumpkin is a fabulous Stampin' Up! subscription kit that includes absolutely everything you need to create all of the projects each month.  (You can learn more HERE.)  In my starter kit, I received the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit and have absolutely loved creating with it.  No matter what level of crafter you might be, you will enjoy the ease of creating beautiful projects with Paper Pumpkin.

This first card follows the Paper Pumpkin kit instructions exactly.  Of course, I had to add my own twist on the subsequent cards.  For the second card, I used a different sentiment (from the kit) and different flowers on the frame (obviously).

For the third card, I use one of the circle dies and the pretty floral accents.  (I may have to trim the leaves to put the card in the envelope.  By the way, did I mention that the envelopes are also beautiful?)

Here are all three for your inspiration.  Which one do you prefer?

If you decide to try a Paper Pumpkin subscription, I hope that you will choose me as your demonstrator.  Thank you!
