A Good Luck Wish

We are very proud of both our girls and always will be and at the moment Lauren (14) is working extra hard at school and is in a group called Pathway One. This means she is taking her GCSE's a whole year early. Just over a week ago now she sat her first exam ( isn't the first one always the worst!)




Anyway, I thought I would make her a good luck card using one of the fairly new Magnolia images. Luaren likes vintagey colours and style quite a bit so I tried to replicate that in the card. The paper is Scenic Route and the narrow cream lace is authentic vintage lace
I have to admit I so enjoyed making this card for her and was pleased with the result....and more to the point she loved it too.

A little *wave* to say Hello.

Hello again my blogland( and real life) friends.....I am sorry I have been away for a while....and I am not sure how often I shall be here, but I hope to be about a bit. I am hoping to bounce around your blogs too and see what beautiful creations you have all been making and what exciting things you have been up to. Thank you so much for all your kind messages and emails too, its heart warming knowing I have such thoughtful friends and blogging buddies and I am very grateful.







I haven't any crafting things to share this evening, but thought I would pop on a few pics we took last saturday evening.....it had been such a beautiful day and we went to the beach in the early evening to take the girls for a skate along the seafront.





Lauren has had her birthday present early( not due til Oct), she has been desperate for a pair of retro roller boots and so we got her a pair and gave them to her now so she has some decent weather and plenty of chance to get out on them.






After having a trundle along the seafront we then drove on to Westham and visited the chippy for tea( I can highly recommend a visit to this one, its delish!)

Then we went along and strolled around the grounds of Pevensey Castle.






The sky was still really blue, even though it was getting later on in the evening....beautiful.

Time out

Hello to my blogging friends out there, just want to let you know I am taking some time out for a while.....things are a bit unsettled in our life to say the least at the moment and I am not coping very well with it all and I feel bad that I don't have the time to be able to visit everyones lovely blogs and catch up with you all, my mojo has also totally dissapeared, but most of all, my mind and energy is elsewhere and I need to let go of some things. I hope to not be away too long, just didn't want to dissapear without leaving a note...

My Card For Chloe

Just a quickie post today( sorry, I know they are few and far between now....but then I never really have anything interesting to say anyway...xxx)

This is Chloe's card I made her for her birthday. She loves handmade things, bless her, and is a keen cardy/scrapper herself and her fave thing is to sit and colour in lots of images with my Promarkers.

She was chuffed when she opened up the card and saw one of her favourite images on the front and she especially loved the strawberry charm. Some of the flowers I bought from Wild Orchid Crafts and the gorgeous charm is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

Our Baby is 10 today!

Where DOES the time go? It doesn't seem 10 years ago that I was given this precious little bundle to look after. It doesn;t seem like 10 years ago that I worried that I didn't have enough love in me to share with another little one and would I be enough of a Mum for her?

Well that little bundle has grown in a beautiful little lady, who has a kind heart and a biiiig personality. She is full of warmth and love and lots of mischief and I wouldn't want her any other way. Sometimes she frustrates the life out of me, but most of the time she makes me laugh....until sometimes i nearly cry. She dances and spins and sings and bounces around from the time she gets up til the time she goes to bed...and I love her so much for it.

Happy 10th Birthday my Little Sweetpea....we love you.....xxxxxxxxxx

Lucky Birthday Girly......that's me!

I should have posted this yesterday, but at the moment my time on here is few and far between!

I was thoroughly spoilt yesterday on my *"?~~!!*nd birthday.

It started with me getting toast and tea in bed....courtesy of my littlest girly, Chloe. She jumped in next to me whilst I opened my huuuuge pile of cards....

I am so lucky to have such talented and generous friends....and also my lovely family too. I thought I would share with you some of the wonderful cards and gifts that i was lucky enough to be given.

Thank you Jill for my Rock-a-blocks( I have only ever tried one of these once before...perfect, thank you..xx) Linda and Lynn, you girlies are very naughty, thank you sooooo much for my gorgeous Martha Stewart Punch set, Liz and Wendy, thank you both for my divine Teal wrap, its wonderful and JUST my fave colour in the world. And to my Bestest friend in the world, Sue...thank you Lovey for my gorgeous, gorgeous handbag and beautiful flowers and stash goodies and for spending the day with me....it was lovely ( shall blog that tomorrow hopefully if I get chance)

Just how lucky am I? Thank you to each of you my lovely friends, I treasure you all...xxxxxx

I was also very lucky and from my family I was given some money, a lush massive canvas print, turqouise top, yankee candles and my most favourite bottle of perfume from Dale....oh yes and my girlies bought me alovely bunch of flowers too.....so yep, I was spoilt..xxxxx
