Merry Christmas!

Here's wishing all my friends and followers a very Merry Christmas! Today's also the start of a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday so I hope you have your shopping done and are ready for a little card-making fun.

Here's the challenge sketch for the week. I rotated it to fit the image I chose and either way it turns out great!

This week we are sponsored by Mary Ellen at Dearie Dolls. Oh my goodness, I just adore these digis that Mary Ellen creates and she so generously posts freebies all the time at her site. There are some exclusive images sold through her Dearie Dolls Etsy store too. Thanks Mary Ellen!

I chose this adorable Snowman Christmas Lights Swing image for my challenge card and colored it with Copic markers. I added a little frosted lace Stickles on the snowflakes and bit of glitter to the lights with a glitter gel pen. I strung the lights that I found at my local craft store with green bakers twine - I thought they were just the perfect touch with this darling snowman. The papers are from My Mind's Eye.

Now stop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see the other wonderful images from Dearie Dolls and wish my design team mates a Merry Christmas too!

Have a blessed Christmas and thanks for stopping by!

Watermelon Girl

Just back tonight from a trip to Purdue with my son where he is officially enrolled now for fall classes. Oh my, I wish the clock would stop! I'm not sure I'm ready for him to leave the nest yet. He'll be there for good in about six weeks and I'm trying to not think about it!

So to get my mind off that, here's my card for this week's challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!

This is the fantastic challenge sketch to follow - I love how this layout turns out. Our Sally sure has talent in drawing these up.  Give this one a try - you'll love the result.

Dearie Dolls is our sponsor this week and Mary Ellen the owner and artist has the cutest darn digis you'll ever find. What's even more special is that Mary Ellen has an entire site of freebies here:  Dearie Dolls Freebies.  And if you can't find something there (hard to imagine) then visit her Etsy Shop Deariesbyme where there are some really special digis available.

I chose this adorable Watermelon Girl from the Dearie Dolls freebie site. I knew I had the perfect papers to match with it and watermelons and summer go hand in hand.

Now you just have to take a peek at the fabulous cards our design team made using other Dearie Dolls images. Hop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Swing

It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and we have a fun one this week. It a blast from the past sketch and this week it's with a twist... We have a tic-tac-toe grid for you to follow as this twist which adds a bit more fun.

Here's the tic-tac-toe grid to follow.... I used the charm, jewels and ribbon row for my card.

And here's the fabulous sketch by our own Sally - a blast from the past originally used in July 2013.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Dearie Dolls. We're so happy to have Dearie Dolls as sponsor - every one of the images are just so adorable and unique. Mary Ellen is the owner and artist behind these wonderful stamps and we thank her for her sponsorship.  You can find a ton of freebie images at Dearie Dolls Freebie site.

This darling image is a Dearie Dolls freebie called Spring Swing. It was colored with Copic markers and the paper is My Mind's Eye. I used jewels for the flower centers and a tiny little flower charm hangs on the edge of bottom scallop of the diecut.

Now stop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and take a look at all the other wonderful cards the design team created using Dearie Dolls images this week.

Thanks for stopping by!

Basket Full of Flowers

Well we're on the home stretch to Spring and isn't that a nice thing to look forward to! I'm kicking that off with this adorable card for the new Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge starting today featuring the wonderful images from Dearie Dolls.

Here's the fun sketch for this week's challenge designed by our fabulously talented Sally!  I love the banner element here that makes such a fun embellishment to this layout.

This week we have a special treat for you.  Dearie Dolls digi stamps is our sponsor and these darling images are illustrated by Mary Ellen - super talented in drawing as well as writing poetry.  You'll love everything you see available on her blog, including her poetry, for your card making. The best part of all, her images are FREE!  Yep, you can't beat that!  So because of that, you all are winners this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!  So pick an image from Dearie Dolls blog site and create a card for the challenge this week.  Be sure to leave a thankful comment for Mary Ellen and let her know you found her from her Sweet Sketch Wednesday sponsorship this week.

This sweet little girl, called Basketful of Flowers, just captured my heart.  She was brought to life with Copic markers and paired with papers from MME's Happier line. The butterflies adorning her here are a MS punch. I think this makes for a perfectly perky Spring card!

Head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see more of the fun and free images available at Dearie Dolls that the design team used.  You'll just love what you see there!
