Winter Sports at ABC Christmas Challenge
StampFairy is sponsoring the ABC Christmas Challenge and I'm showcasing this card this week over at the challenge blog. The theme is "W" for Winter Sports - isn't that fun!
This is Al the penguin getting ready to ski down the slopes! You can find Al Winter Fun at the StampFairy Shop. He was brought to life with Copic markers, lots of glitter and some fantastic digital papers from Shery K Designs. Why don't you join in the ABC Christmas Challenge fun this week?

ABC Christmas Challenge - Guest Designer
StampFairy is a sponsor of this week's challenge on the ABC Christmas Challenge blog and I created a card on behalf of the StampFairy team to be featured as the guest designer. The challenge introduced today is "C - Clean and Simple" and features a sketch to follow.
The ABC Christmas Challenge helps you prepare for the coming Christmas. Challenges are "fortnightly" and are themed - if you join every challenge from A to Z you will have created at least 25 cards in time for Christmas 2011. As a sponsor, StampFairy will be providing 3 digi stamps to the winner of this challenge - so you won't want to miss your chance at that! Just create a Christmas or winter-themed card using this sketch and keep it clean and simple. You can enter your card at the ABC Christmas Challenge blog HERE.
My card for this challenge uses StampFairy's "Christmas Betty" digi - one in a collection of 4 images featuring Betty in a Christmas theme. As you can see, I paper-pieced her dress and bow - this image is perfect for paper-piecing, one of my favorite techniques. The rest was colored with Copic markers.
I colored a second Christmas tree and popped it up for some dimension - you can see it better in this photo. The papers used here are all from Imaginesce - though I believe they are from their 2009 Christmas/Winter season.
The premise behind the ABC Christmas Challenge is a fun one - I think I'll have to start participating more frequently to build up my stash and get ahead of the holiday frenzy that occurs each year. My thanks to the ABC team for highlighting StampFairy in this challenge and my thanks to you for stopping by!
