Hi friends! This is my inspiration for you this week in the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. You know how I love A Day For Daisies images and they are our sponsor this week so I'm in heaven!
Here's the sketch to follow in this week's challenge. Obviously you can choose, as I did, a variety of embellishment treatments in place of the stars. Give the sketch a try - it turns out lovely.
A Day For Daisies is our sponsor this week and we always look forward to using the gorgeous images that Tammy creates for her store. There's a wonderful selection for any occasion. The grand prize winner will receive a $12 gift certificate to the A Day For Daisies store. This is a fabulous prize!
I chose this beautiful image, Love of Birds, to create my card this week. The colors are a little softer than I usually choose and I went for an antiqued look as well with distressing done on edges. The coloring was done with Copic markers and a little bit of Prismacolor pencils to add in touches of rose in the gown to add depth and on the birds to reflect the rose color and tie it all in. The papers are from My Mind's Eye.
I sure hope you join us in the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week. Head on over to the site to see other beautiful inspiration cards created for you by the design team.

Birds in the Wind
This week's challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday is sponsored by the fan favorite A Day For Daisies. The images that Tammy creates there are so inspiring and so beautiful!
Here's the sketch to follow for the challenge - easy to put together and lots of possibilities for embellishments to dress it up.
One lucky player in the challenge will win a $12 gift certificate from A Day For Daisies - our sponsor this week. It's a super prize but you have to play to win it so get your creativity going and join in the fun this week!
I chose this gorgeous image called Birds In The Wind from ADFD. I liked the challenge in coloring her hair and skin with the right shadowing and highlights. It was done with Copic markers and a little bit with Primacolor pencils for highlights and fine details. With the bird theme, I added the feathers and am entering this card in the challenge over at A Day For Daisies which calls for feathers.
Now head over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see more ADFD images with this sketch - you'll be inspired to join the challenge!

Ten Tiny Fingers
Hi friends! I'm back with a card featuring my favorite A Day For Daisies and a new sketch for the challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
This is a great sketch and don't let the pentagon shape scare you. Here's a tip: print an extra copy of this sketch to size and cut out the pentagon and use it to trace the lines around your image. Then you just use your paper cutter to cut along those traced lines. To get the evenly spaced border, I pasted my finished image on the background cardstock and then used the paper cutter on each edge by just eyeballing an equal distance on each side. It turns out great that way and the pentagon shape is what makes this a unique and striking layout. Have fun with it and play along with us in the challenge!
I absolutely adore A Day For Daisies images and always look forward to their sponsorship of our challenges. The lucky grand prize winner of the challenge will receive a $12 gift certificate to A Day For Daisies. We are grateful to Tammy, the owner and illustrator of ADFD, for her sponsorship.
I chose Ten Tiny Fingers from ADFD for my card today. I thought it filled out the pentagon shape so nicely and is such a sweet image. It was colored with Copic markers, some glitter added to the fairy wings and the papers are Chalkboard from We R Memory Keepers (found them at Walmart).
That's it from me today but there's more inspiration with A Day For Daisies images over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday - pop on over to take a look at the delightful cards the design team created for you.

Forget-Me-Nots
Welcome back to a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday featuring my absolute favorite sponsor, A Day For Daisies. This will be a quick post - I'm vacationing in Florida and soaking up the heat of the sun after a long, cold Michigan winter!
Here's the sketch to follow for our challenge this week. It's pretty simple but I think it looks terrific with a lot of possibilities for embellishment. Give it a try!
I just love the images that Tammy creates at A Day For Daisies. I find them so inspiring and so beautiful colored up. A Day For Daisies is our sponsor this week and is providing a $12 gift certificate to the grand prize winner of our challenge. Thanks Tammy for your generous sponsorship and wonderful images!
For my inspiration card, I chose this lovely image called Delivery Bonnet from A Day For Daisies. I see blue Forget-Me-Not flowers when I look at this image so I colored it up that way using Copic markers. And of course, yellow is a perfect color to combine with the blue. The papers are from Pebbles.
We have such beautiful sample cards with A Day For Daisies images at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Stop on over there for more inspiration!

Fairies and Bunnies
Welcome friends! Today's the start of a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and I have two cards to share with you today. Both show off the new sketch and both use images from A Day For Daisies, our wonderful sponsor this week.
I created this second card for A Day For Daisies challenge going on now through February 12. It's all about things Valentine-y. I love this darling bunny called Happy Love Day.
Here's the sketch to follow this week. It goes together quickly but has lots of room for fun embellishments and added details.
We welcome back A Day for Daisies as our challenge sponsor. ADFD is one of my favorite digi stamp stores - the images are all gorgeous and I'm always inspired when I created with them. The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive a $12 gift certificate to the ADFD shop - a super generous prize! Thanks Tammy!
For my main card this week I used Fairy Flower Outing from A Day For Daisies - a new image released there. This little fairy is so sweet and was brought to life with Copic markers. The flowers embellishments are a MS punch and I used the same for the fringe around the image.
Now if you like these, you'll really love what you see at Sweet Sketch Wednesday made by the design team for you inspiration. Visit us there and join us this week in the challenge.

Outing with Baby
Welcome back for another challenge at Sweet SketchWednesday! We're shaking it up a bit this week using some of our favorite images - digi or rubber stamps.
Here's this week's sketch to follow. If the hexagon stumps you, a circle can be substituted. Here's a trick though - print the sketch out in the size of your card and cut out the hexagon and trace it around your image and cut it out from there. That's what I did for my card.
We do not have a sponsor this week and instead are offering our grand prize winner a package of stamping goodies put together by our own stamping queen, Sally Dube! Embellishments, papers, stamps are all part of the package so you won't be disappointed!
I'm featuring this A Day For Daisies image called Outing With Baby Jane. All the A Day For Daisies images are my favorites! I've had this in my digi stash for some time and selected it because it fit perfectly with the hexagon frame. It was colored with Copics and the papers I used are from My Mind's Eye.
Now stop on by Sweet Sketch Wednesday to learn more about the challenge this week and to see the beautiful cards the design team created for your inspiration!

Vintage Darlings
I have some vintage goodness for you today as part of the new Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. There's something about A Day For Daisies images that bring out the distressing and shabby chic techniques in me and this week is no exception.
First of all, this is the sketch for the challenge this week. I have rotated it to fit the image I chose and I think it looks good either direction - a very versatile sketch and perfect one for the taller and skinnier images too.
I always look forward to creating with A Day For Daisies digi stamps. The images that Tammy, the owner and artist, draws up are spectacular, interesting and unique. And so many of them just seem to have a vintage flair which I love to accentuate in my card design and details. We are so thankful to Tammy for her sponsorship. The grand prize winner of this week's challenge will receive a $12 gift certificate to the ADFD online store - a fantastic prize!
I had this wonderful ADFD image called Five Vintage Darlings but never had the perfect sketch to use it with until now. These wonderful little maidens were colored with Copic markers, paying special attention to keeping the colors very pale so it had a faded, aged look. Lots of distressing on this card too with the rough and inked edges all the way around. The piercing was done freehand just to draw the eye more to the main panel. The papers set the overall color pallette and tone and they're from Prima's Divine collection.
So there you have it from me. Now, you just have to pop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 to check out the other A Day For Daisies images and inspiration created for you by our design team.

Kiss From Mother
Isn't this a beautiful digi stamp? I've created this card to inspire you on the start of a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. We're featuring the lovely and adorable images from A Day For Daisies this week along with a great new sketch.
Here it is - I love how this sketch turns out with coordinating designer papers and embellishments. I hope you'll give it a try this week and join us in the challenge fun!
It's always a special week when we're sponsored by A Day For Daisies! I love creating with the wonderful images that Tammy offers. The grand prize winner of our challenge will receive a $12 gift certificate to A Day For Daisies - amazing prize isn't it? Thanks Tammy for your generous sponsorship!
I saw this stunning image on a card a couple weeks ago by one of the A Day For Daisies design team members and knew I had to have it for my next ADFD card! It's called Kiss From Mother and it's perfect for mothers everywhere and on any occasion. It was colored with Copics and the papers are My Mind's Eye. I had the embellishments in my stash but on the small roses I added some pink accents with my Copics so they coordinated with the papers and colors I used.
Now you'll just have to stop over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see the gorgeous works of art created for your inspiration by the design team using the beautiful digi stamps from A Day For Daisies. It's a treat for your eyes!
