#aprilphotoaday...kinda sorta

Well folks, I did 9 out of 30 days this month.

Good thing I'm not OCD or this would be driving me crazy. lol

Here's what I got:

Day one:  Your reflection

Day two:  color

Day three: mail

Day four: someone who makes you happy (my church family)

Day five: tiny (my elf salt and pepper shakers)

then skip to

Day sixteen: flower (obvious in full swing wedding mode, hence the skipping of days 6-15)

Day seventeen: something I don't like  (cracked windshields and driving in the rain. boo)

Day eighteen: hair (loving my Bits of Splendor sparrow bobby pin...wear it all the time)

Day nineteen: orange

Maybe I'll do better in May.  Hmmm...we'll see.

I turn a year older this Month so it's a favorite month for me. And I've got a project that I've been working on a little every day since my last birthday.  Can't wait to share it!!  Squeal!!

I'm about to pack the car for a road trip with my girls in honor of our lovely graduate....

I still gotta go pack my clothes. The need for a bathing suit might be required at some point this weekend and that scares the life out of me!  I'm not ready to be seen in a bathing suit. I  told my friend, Denise, this morning that even though I have retired my Wonder Woman "hat"....I sho wish I could fit in her costume!!

Dear March,

Wow!  You were sure in a hurry!

Seems like you were just here and then you disappeared!

Well, even though you were fast and furious,  and you brought with you a severe stomach bug and sinus infection that wiped out me and most of my family,  you also  brought with you some fun times and great memories and for that I am forever grateful Mr. March. 

But next year when you come back to visit, will you slow down and stay a little longer?

Oh, and on your way out can you mention to April to keep things in slow motion...I have a lot to do this month and really need it to last.

Day 1: Up...trying to get Lydia up and ready to work on wedding projects. 

Day 2: Fruit...  what I hope can always be said of me.

Day 3: My neighborhood...some of the neighbors the grand kids always wants to visit when they're here.

Day 4: My bedside..  My five year one line a day journal given.  One day the girls will get to  read what          goes on up in this head and heart of mine.  #scary

Day 5: a smile...and a mischievous one at that.  Meet Mr. Josiah, my nephew and Lydia's ring bearer.

Day 6:  5:00pm

Day 7: something I wore..an ice pack on my back from mopping the entire house. "Ole Blue" to the rescue.

Day 8:  window.. our church at night.  Love this beautiful building but I love the people inside way more.

Day 9:  red.. a sneak peak from Lydia and Marcus's engagement pictures

Day 10:  loud.. my giggling grand daughters playing ring around the rosies.

Day 11: someone I talked to.. the love of my life who came home from a week long revival.  

Day 12:  fork.. used while eating lunch with my best friend at our favorite Chinese restaurant. 

Day13:  sign.. this hangs above my kitchen window.  May it always be true.
Day 14: clouds... snapped this on my walk across the yard to church.
Day 15:  car... in the car heading to see the grand kids!  whoop whoop!
Day 16:  sunglasses... hers are way cuter than mine.

Day 17: green... so thankful Jesus invaded my life almost 15 years ago!
Day 18: corner of my house...yeah, that is a gun.
Day 19:  funny....these four are always cracking me up.
Day 20: before and after....about 30 minutes after we said the blessing.

Day 21: delicious...no, I'm not at a wedding or fancy schmancy event.  I'm in SAM's y'all!!  This is a sample!  This sample lady rocked!!
Day 22: my sink....ughh.
Day 23: moon....I love these three to the moon and back.
Day 24: animal...my niece with her chicken, Francecsa and Earl the squirrel.

Day 25: key.... this hangs in my laundry room.

Day 26: my name.....trying to choose font for invitations.

Day 27: breakfast.... i skipped it....literally.

Day 28: trash.... this pile is unusually small and devoid of color.

Day 29: my feet

Day 30: toy.... my favorite little wind up momma chick that I have had for years.  It stays in my laundry  room window and reminds me of me with my three little chicks  who no longer trail behind me. 

Day 31: where I relax... in this chair in these pajamas.  Oh yeah.

Well there ya have it folks.

This hashtag has flooded IG over the month of January and has become, well quite honestly....

addicting.

It's a fun little photo challenge that gives you a different prompt for each day.  

It has truly been a delight and has given me a glimpse into the lives of so many friends..old and new while allowing them a peek into mine.

I wasn't gonna jump on board at first because I was already doing my Everyday Thanks pics but I caved and joined in.  And I'm so glad I did... FUN stuff. 

I mean I take pictures of everything anyways...right?

I'm thinking this will definitely be made into a hardcover book at the end of the year.

A book of snippets, glimpses, and preferences...all in neat little squares.  

Yep. I can already picture it on my coffee table. 

Below are all the pics from January.  I numbered the first one but then decided that was too much work.. Besides, y'all are smart folks..left to right.. top to bottom.

3. Something I adore: the fact that this man will watch Tangled with his granddaughters because they love it so much and he loves them so much and I love him so much. ~sigh. I adore him.
4. Letterbox:  I learned this was another name for a mailbox.  This is the view my letterbox gets to look at every day. Pretty nice huh! 

 5.  Something I wore:  my yellow scarf from my momma..it's kinda one of my favorite colors     if you can't tell
6.   Makes you smile:  after 25 years of being "his girl" I'm still smiling :)  A lot.
7.   Favorite:  My all time favorite  place to shop.
8.   My sky:  took this one as I walked  to church.

10. Childhood: a friend gave me this little box when I was in 2nd grade and I was so disappointed with it so I gave it to my  mom who put Q-tips in it.  Well, it moved out with me years later when I got married and has been storing our Q-tips  ever since!

14. What I'm reading: it's one I re-read often...I want to point them to Jesus and have a blast while I do it!
15. Happiness:  for years now I always do a "high kick" as my family pulls out of the driveway as they leave from a visit.  I've now taught my grand kids to do it.  But what brings me MUCH happiness today is looking back as I pulled out on my way to stay with our daughter a few days  and I see my husband, the pastor, doing a high kick for me...in his suit!! Oh how I love that man!
16. Morning:  "Au Naturael"....bed head and all :)

17.  Water:  not sure if there will be any room for me in this bathtub.  #grandkids
18.  Something I bought:  mustard suede booties for $1.99
19.  Sweet:  both my girls randomly gave me happies today :)

22.  My Shoes:  Compliments of my sweet Lydia
23.  Something old:  These are my painting clothes.  They've been with me through 5 houses and the Lord only knows how many room makeovers!
24.  My Guilty Pleasure:  Disney's Good Luck Charlie... I watch it even when the grand kids aren't here!  I'm pretty sure me and Amy Duncan are kindred spirits.

25.  Something I made:  with the help of Nickie Holden and God.
26.  Color: .....PINK!  I have a feeling I'll be seeing LOTS of this color from now til June.
27.  Lunch:  Ate these in the car with my way excited husband on the ride home...these were his absolute favorite flavor when he was a kid and he hasn't eaten them in years!
28. Light:  taking a break from wedding shopping in the bright sun while Marcus loads up and ties down the goodies:)

29.  In my fridge:  leftover chicken and dumplings..was in the fridge, now its lunch!
30.  Nature:  flowers from a friends yard that she blessed me with to brighten my day.
31.  Me again:   only this time 6 pounds lighter than my day 1 pic and back in a pair of my "kinda skinny' jeans. .. a work in progress.
