My Friday faves

Woo Hoo!

It's Friday! Uh Huh Uh Huh!

Not only is it Friday but it's Friday AND the day I get to see the grandbabies whom I haven't seen in 7 weeks!  Yeah, I'm a teeeeensy bit excited. 

Just a little bit.

Anyways, Here is some of my favorite stuff from this week taken mostly with my iphone: 

My new blue kitchen.

It's kinda "smurfa-beautiful" don't ya think?

My sweet girls modeling some new stuff in my shop.

Down here in the south we're getting pumped up for the big match up in the SEC.

Being from Louisiana, it goes without saying who we're rooting for.

Lydia was thrilled to do her modeling.

Lauren was a little bummed out.

Feeling really blessed and thankful how busy I've been shipping out my pretties from The Honey Pot.

I'm so thankful folks are enjoying them and so thankful the Lord is blessing this adventure.

Can I just say how much I love our church family?The Lord has given us more than we deserve with this precious flock to lead.They are a blessing to us and a blessing for us seeing them growing in grace and His Word.Good Stuff I tell ya!

This is a favorite thing that takes place several times

every day.

Thanks Mr. Roy and Momma for spoiling me so.

I know I talk about how thankful I am for technology all the time on here.

But I can't help it.  

Getting texts like these makes living long distance from the grandbabies bearable...

(All you mommas out there...send those grandmas pictures!!   It will make their week!)

And being able to "talk" with them makes life just wonderful.

You worn out mommas of little ones...hang in there!

One day your children will be grown and they will come home from work with happies they bought for you!  I'm telling you...just you wait!

Love these shoes Lydia bought for me. Thank you sweet thing!

Loved our photo shoot we had with Lauren and can't wait to show more of the pics once I get them all edited.  Fun stuff.

And last...did I mention I'm going to see my grandkids today?!

I mean.... look at this face.  Can you see why I'm excited?

Elizabeth said they were in the store and Rosalyn was pretending she was texting on Elizabeth's phone.  She was talking out loud what she was "texting".

Elizabeth sent me a text to tell me...

 Don't you worry Toot Toot!  

Your Honey is on her way!!!

Getting control of my chaos and getting a little organized has definitely made me smile this week.

I know to y'all it doesn't look like much but

1. You didn't see the "before" pic.. whoa!

2. We ate dinner at our clean kitchen table last night for the first time in forevah!

Discovering these...

Part of the laundry room project meant moving all the grandbabies toys out to the shed. {sniff}

But upon doing that, I discovered Rosalyn's long lost favorite pink sparkly flip flops.

Apparently she and Jules decided to bake them last time they were here. lol

Having a freshly painted kitchen in  this lovely color called Aqua Rapids has definitely made me smile.

The Sunshine print was free from sweet Christina at Littlefashiondiary.

That alone would make me smile but then throw in my new wall color and the bowl of lemons and well I'm a smilin fool :)

Ain't God Good!

What I'm lovin most this week...

• Seeing God grant repentance and restore a passion for Him in the lives of His people.
• Being encouraged and humbled that the Lord would use me in such a powerful way.
• Having my heart bonded in friendship with a precious couple who have a passion to serve God with their lives.
• Seeing my hubs exercise his gift and passion for teaching the Word of God.  God's grace amazes me each time.
• Last but not least...gaining a sister in Christ as the Lord opened the eyes of the sweet pastor's wife to reveal she was still lost in sin and in need of His salvation!  Whoop Whoop!!

Thank you to all my sweet sisters who have

 prayed for God to move this week.  

He did!!

A birthday card from a dear friend at our church who always remembers our birthdays. She is older than me.. Some would call her "special".  They would be totally right...she is super special. 

  This one is for Lydia (who loved the fact Carolyn put a heart sticker on hers)

Lovin this...

My big splurge of the week. A $.50 magnet for my fridge.

It just screams "Go create something!!" to me. 

I'm thinking on and thankful for and loving this...

the mess I have got to clean up.  Ughh!

It seems like everywhere I turned this week, folks 

were sharing pics of their amazing craft rooms and spaces.

Well this is mine. The kitchen table. Uh..and I'm messy.

My family may start a revolt or something soon to reclaim their "eatin space".

(umm and yeah, that's a gun propped up in the corner. Which reminds me of something else I'm loving... I shot my first armadillo this week! Yay me!)

And last but not least 

I said I would share the good, bad or ugly...

My daughter came home all excited from a trip she had gone on that included some shopping..

She says ,"Oh. My. Goodness. Mom.  Wait to you see this dress. You will LOVE it.  Cuz it is SO retro!".

Ok People! When did the 80's become retro?!  As in "cool retro" not tacky_lets make fun of_retro.. I was expecting something awesome from the 70's or something.  This looks just like a sweater I had in the 10th grade and I'm almost positive I saw Dr. Huxtable wearing something with this pattern on the Cosby Show!

Yeah.. I now get why my mom doesn't get my love for vintage 60 and 70's stuff.

Too funny.

Thinking On and Thankful For......

My hope is to share this once a week and give you a little slice of what I am loving most at the moment, or perhaps what I just can't get off my mind...good or bad.

Loving this for several reasons:

1. Me and Nick were tagged in this pic by a friend from high school back home...she said she thought of us when she saw it.  Awesome.
2. She loved how the Lord "shows Himself in the most unexpected places." Awesome
3. The realization how technology  has reunited us with so many people with whom we may have lost contact with if not for Facebook, blogging and twitter.  So awesome

Thinking on a lot and thankful for the Lord removing the clouds of years of miscommunication in a dear relationship and the breakthrough of the hope of sweet times ahead.   Awesome.

Thankful me and Lauren got stuck in the very back seat of the mini van together so we could discover just exactly how much our feet look alike.  Right down to our pinkie toes missing polish.  Crazy.

My new scrub brush for the sink.  It makes me smile every time I do dishes. 

One perfect day of shopping with Elizabeth and the girls.  We found awesome bargains and the girls were happy the ENTIRE time!...(and we were out all day!)

Can I hear a big awesome from all you mommas of pre-schoolers?!

Seeing the world through their eyes this week.  Amazing.

Surprise! Celebrating with Lydia the "End of an Era"...

Being amazed at the agility and moves of a very pregnant Elizabeth having fun with her sisters while playing Just Dance on the Wii.

Thankful for this man and his sacrificial love for me, the impact he is making in so many lives, and watching him play so tenderly with his grand daughters.  This blesses me beyond words.
