Doa Selamat Kembali & Harijadi Bonda


 Assalamualaikum semua sahabat2 Along.... Alhamdulillah Along dah selamat kembali ke tanah air sebulan yang lalu.... Terimakasih tidak terhingga kepada semua sahabat2 yg mendoakan perjalanan dan ibadat haji... maaf ya amat kerana tidak dapat ke udara lebih awal untuk makluman dan ucapan terima-kasih namun doa Along buat semua senantiasa di hati.... insyaallah.

 Dah lama tak berkongsi menu makan2.... semenjak balik kampong ni boleh dikatakan setiap minggu ada acara makan2 di rumah sebab ramai sanak-saudara yang selalu berziarah.... alhamdulillah memang seronok.

Beberapa hari selepas pulang dari Tanah Suci, Along buat doa selamat secara kecil2 sesama ahli keluarga yg diam berhampiran... kebetulan ia nya jatuh pada hari ulangtahun Emak Along.  Menu simple2 jer... kongsikan di sini buat kenangan.

1. Kek Harijadi surprise buat Bonda:
Emak tak tahu pun ada sambutan harijadi.... Along pun buat2 lupa pagi tu sehingga pada waktu jamuan.... juga hadiah sepasu orkid merah dari kami "the girls" memang terkejut sangat bonda.... heheee.

Along buat kek fevret Emak... kek pisang! Along hiaskan dengan fondant dan tidak menutupi keseluruhan kek sebab Emak tak berapa suka kek yg terlalu banyak aising.

   Emak posing gembira sebagai kenangan manis harijadi.... Alhamdulillah atas kurniaan Allah di beri kesihatan dan umur yg panjang buat bonda... semuga bonda senantiasa tabah dan kuat selalu... aamiin.

  .... my fevret! Baru sebulan duduk luar Malaysia dah rindu sangat dengan Laksa Utara.... ini my niece Isniyati yg masakkan... dia mmg terrer masak ni....

 yang ini pun my niece Isniyati yg masakkan..... memang terangkat (gambo takdan nak snap tapi Along pinjam gambo yg Along masak.... sama gak kan.... heheee)

Suasana Hari Raya Qurban di Kampung 2015

Since I got married in the last 25 years, this is my first Idh Adha celebration with my mother and siblings in my hometown as far as I can recall..... the reasons were because Idh Adha public holiday was only one day and always coincided with our peak work period in the past years while children had no school term break. Staying in the East Malaysia was just not possible to fly back with whole family for one day only.

In my hometown, Idh Adha is celebrated as bigger occasion than Idh Fitri. We had three days consecutively of family gathering with very busy activities and of course 'big makan-makan'. My mother is the planner and the leader in deciding what activities, the menu, the guests, etcs. Syukur at age of 75 she is still healthy to do most of the cooking with help of all of us. I will share some of my mother's delicious cooking in here. I will never able to beat my mother's cooking... really finger-licking good.

DAY 1: IDH ADHA MENU

- Made with 5kg of rice, enough to feed all the children, grandchildren and great-grand children

DAY2 MENU & ACTIVITIES:
 On Day 2 Idh Adha, we slaughtered three goats for distribution to neighbors and the needies. One goat was for our own consumption which was cooked in special Korma recipe by my AbangNdak. The Lamb Korma was super delicious as the meat was very fresh. We enjoyed it very much that I forgot to snap any photo on day two....

My niece cooked special Chicken Feet Noodle Soup to serve the hardworking men and women who did all the necessary activities like slaughtering, meat cutting, packing and delivering. This is her specialty with very tasty and nice spice aroma...

DAY3 MENU & ACTIVITIES:
 All the family members, some relatives and friends gathered at my mother's house right after Subuh. It was the big day of the Idh as two cows were about to be sacrificed. It was a very busy day from early morning.... preparing breakfast, setting up the slaughtering area in the next door empty land and getting the equipment ready. There were more than 70 of us with lots of noises but so much fun and good feeling of togetherness.

The empty land was well prepared with tents for various purposes.... me and my niece had our fun cooking corner with freshly prepared lattice crepe and Roti Puri in addition to other ready prepared food. Other tents were for eating and working areas.

Overall we had loads of fun.... alhamdulillah siratulrahim yang erat sesama keluarga dan sahabat-handai.

Menu Lewat Malam Acara Marhabban

The muslim committee of this condo organised marhabban visit in the last week of Syawal. There were about five houses hosting each night after Isya' and we volunteered one. We had the last turn on last Tuesday night which was about 11pm. It was a late supper so I prepared something very light..... see menu below.

Overall it was a great session and  get-to-know some of the residents whom we never met before. We felt so blessed staying in this new place with some prayers, marhabban, peace and blessings upon our beloved rasullullah s.a.w.

Menu Biskut dan Kek Hari Raya Aidil Fitri 2015


 
Tahun ni pertama kali menyambut Hari Raya Aidil Fitri di KL.... tetapi seperti biasa kami balik kampung terlebih dahulu. Tahun ni giliran beraya di kampung hubby di Sarawak. So Along pun buatlah serba sedikit biskut dan kek buat buah tangan untuk mertua, emak di Taiping dan seorang dua sahabat. Tak dapat nak buat banyak sebab badan kurang sihat dan buat sorang2 tiada yg membantu, apa yg terdaya sahaja.
 
Minggu hadapan ada open house dan marhaban untuk surau residen kat condo ni, nanti Along update menu tu kendian lah ya. oklah, meh tengok menu biskut dan kek yg di siapkan tahun ni.... so kawan2 kalau berkenan boleh lah cuba next time ya.

- Signature recipe.... sorry tak boleh share resipi untuk mengelakkan ciplak.... nanti2 ada lak yg mengaku resipi turun-temurun tok nenek dia.... dah serik. Puan empunya tak kasi lesen untuk share, maaf ya.


10. Kek Kurma Butterscotch
- Ni buat hari Ahad baru ni untuk sedara-mara yg bertandang. Gambo tak sempat nak snap, so ni gambo amik dari entri dulu yg kat sini.


 11. Kek Lapis Belacan, Lumut dan Cheese
- Ni kek terbaru yang di perkenalkan oleh warga Sarawak.... sedap nya tak terhingga.... kek yg kaya rasa amat mengasyikkan. Tunggu lah bila free nanti Along buat entri nya ya.


 Aneka kek lapis Sarawak yang Along bawa balik dari kampung Sarawak untuk di hidangkan kepada tetamu.


Ni pula, sedikit bekal kek lapis Sarawak AlongRiz bawa ke pejabat belanja office mates dia.
