Elle's Studio: More November Kit Love!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio inspiration!

Today I am sharing some memory keeping love with the gorgeous November Kit and new release items! It's true, I'm a biased fan of all thing Elle's Studio, but let me tell you why....

Every month, regardless of the season or any holiday theme, there's always plenty of products to document your everyday stories. Elle's Studio products are so varied and non-specific that they appeal to me for all types of creating; scrapbooking, card making, pocket pages, mini albums, and off the page items, & most importantly, they are non-gender specific. I am able to tell everyone's stories with Elle's Studio monthly kit - YAY!

Why is that important?

Well, take today's project and the somewhat Christmassy vibe of the November Kit (and new releases) and you'll understand exactly what I'm talkin' 'bout....

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock-Avalanche, & sequins.

This is awesome!
Not a Christmas layout, no pink to be seen and yet I used the very same November Kit and new release items that I also created these 2 very pretty in pink Christmas pages with...

Wow, talk about versatility! See why I LOVE all things Elle's Studio?! It's all about balance, beautiful colors & patterns, high quality, varied products and a chance to document my stories, my way!

Speaking of documenting stories, let's chat about today's layout!

First up, I had quite a long title that I wanted to feature on my page. The solution? I wrapped my title around my photo cluster to create more space for all the words. I also mixed my alphas for 3 key reasons; 1. So I had enough of each letter/numeral required, 2. So the words would all fit (the smaller Jane Tile Alphabet Stickers were perfect for the Show's long name) & 3. To create interest and keep you reading!

I love how effective that long, circular title looks!

Secondly, at the time of creating this page, I only had the one small photograph to work with. With such a big title, my photo was bound to get lost. The solution? I created a large base of mixed 3 x 4inch notecards from the November Kit, and Fa La La papers to mount my photo onto. To make my photograph appear 'bigger', I cut the 3 x 4" cards into half, and fanned them out behind my photo. This not only created a point of interest, but also widened my image.

For my layout color scheme, I chose colors that featured in my photograph. This created a more cohesive look and unified all the different elements throughout the page.

Those Acrylic Christmas Trees were the perfect adornment to my photo cluster. You'll spy that trees are featured in my photo background, the Show name is all about forest life, the trees coordinated with my color scheme and they aided in the widening of the cluster's appearance. Awesome!
Did I mention that I love the versatility of Elle's Studio embellishments?! I also used a Holiday Foodie Sticker, and the Very Merry Chipboard Stickers to emphasize my photo cluster despite having no relevance to food or Christmas! See what I mean about every month being so varied and suitable for all kinds of creating and story telling? Love it!

The Currently Labels happened to feature 'watching, listening and singing' and yes, you guessed it, worked with my color scheme. Needless to say I just had to use them, but to make them stand out that tiny bit more, I foam mounted them all for good measure!

The tiny yellow stars are from the Acrylic Christmas Trees, & I couldn't resist sprinkling them around my title. If you look closely, there's a pop of yellow in my photo background, and those tiny stars really enhanced this! Simple, well considered placement of embellishments makes all the difference!

And there you have it!
Another handful of reasons as to why I think Elle's Studio products are the very best,
and another fabulous layout to add to my sweet son's album!
Wasn't he cute as 'Ratty'?

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope I have inspired you!

Elle's Studio: November Kit & New Releases Inspiration!

 Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio amazingness!

I say it every month, but truly, you're going to swoon when you see how fabulous this month's exclusive Kit and new releases are! Check them out...

November Kit

Oh my stars! Told you it was good!!!

& the new releases are just as spectacular...

W.O.W!!!

& let's not forget the awesome monthly digitals!

LOVE!!!

Yep, it's another month of creative bliss at Elle's Studio!

Now for a couple of projects to inspire you with...

First up, a super cute & playful 12 x 12" Christmas page,

"Merry & Bright"

So.much.fun!!!

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Avalanche, Spiegelmom Scraps Sequins & baker's twine.

Let's take a closer look at this Festive page!

Fa La La, this page literally sings Holiday Cheer!
With such a fun & silly Christmas photograph, it seemed only fitting to create a really playful page!

Need I mention, those Acrylic Christmas Light Bulbs?!
Could they get any cuter?! So adorable for December documenting!

The crisp candy cane and peppermint color scheme really enhances the layout, and with so many cool embellishments to decorate with - well, it was as much fun to make as it looks!
I offset the freshness of this design with that divine Merry & Bright Wood Veneer title.
The warmth & richness of this veneer creates both balance and interest to the eye!
Another of my 'must-have' items this month!

All these pretty embellishments teamed with the November Kit and that cute candy cane pattern Fa La La paper make this page perfection!

My second page is an 8.5 x 11" number, and is also Christmas themed....

"Oh What Fun!"

Oh what fun, indeed!

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Avalanche, Black, Pink & Red stamping ink, sewing machine, & sequins.
Here's a better look at this pretty in pink Christmas tree page...

Sigh! This is just divine!

One of my daughter's favorite Christmas gifts last year was that tiny blush pink Christmas tree. She really loves pink, and I wanted to document this for her personal album.
Her tree inspired me to fussy cut my own from the pink polka dot Christmas Basics pattern paper. I machine stitched it into place and decorated it with my photo, sequin baubles, Very Merry Christmas Chipboard Stickers and the Christmas Baking Stamp sprinkles - so effective!

That striking red title, 'Oh, what fun!' is one of the November Kit 3 x 4" note cards that I trimmed up & stitched into place. So cool!

This really is a magical page!
I'm thinking a smaller version would look terrific in this years DD album!

SO fun!

I hope my projects have inspired you!

Elle's Studio: Tis The Season!

Hi Friends!

It's time to bust out the Michael Buble music as "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!"
I am so excited to be preparing for the Season of Giving!
I just love the Holidays, and the new Elle's Studio 6 x 6 Paper Stack - 'Tis The Season is perfect for documenting all our stories with!

Whether you trim this paper into pocket size note cards, create greeting cards, include it in your Document December albums, or even craft some Holiday decor, this paper pack is simply the best!
I used the 'Tis The Season papers for documenting my son's visit to see the Jolly Ole Elf himself!

Here's my layout,

"Merry & Bright"

Ho! Ho! Ho! What could be merrier?! Such a cute photo!

Other Supplies: Red Stamping Ink, SpiegelMom Scraps Red Rapture Sequins, White Tissue Paper.

Let's take a closer look at my sweet Santa scrapbook page!

So adorable! And just look at all those pretty papers!
So many gorgeous designs!
It's well known that I like to maximize the 6 x 6 Paper Stack papers for 12 x 12 scrapbook pages, & for today's post, I really wanted to share my top 5 ideas on how to do this!

1. Use the bold pattern paper designs to matte your photographs onto!
I always print my photos with a white border and tend to forget how important that pop of color is. A striking base for your photo/s will really direct your eye and draw attention to your most important part of the layout! That red beneath my photo is just stunning!!!

2. Create paper layers to mount your photograph onto!
Layered papers create texture, give shape &  add visual interest. They also give us the opportunity to mix and match colors and designs, adding greater elements to the overall design. You'll notice that I even add some white tissue wrap in between my paper layers to add further emphasis & interest to my pattern paper cluster!

3. Pull out your punches, or favorite fussy cutting scissors, for some fun pattern paper shapes!
Think rows of pattern paper circles stitched together, concentric paper hearts or in today's example, layered dovetail banners! A really simple, but oh so effective, way to incorporate 6 x 6 papers into our projects!

4. Be an illusionist!
Create the impression of larger papers with careful cuts and clever paper placement! I did this two ways with the dovetail banners in my layout.
Firstly, for the striped and wider looking banner, I diagonally cut the 6 x 6 paper from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. I then re-arranged the two cut triangles so that the longest lengths were vertical, and on opposite sides from one another. Next I overlapped one of the triangles over the other and taped it into place. You can't see the taped join because it's all hidden behind my photo cluster!  So cool!
Secondly, I cut my thinner banners through the centers so that they became two pieces which I then shortened or lengthened beneath my photograph.
The trick is just to make sure they align correctly ;)

5. Build 'em up!
Connect your 6 x 6 papers together to build a longer or wider piece of paper! You'll see that I joined two sheets of the typed 'tis the season pattern paper to create a 6 x 12 sheet of paper. I also butted strips of papers together which I then tucked under the folded edge of the 6 x 12 paper. So clever!

That's just a few of my fave ways to incorporate the smaller pattern papers into my creating.
I hope it gives you some inspiration and ideas for the latest 6 inch 'Tis The Season Paper Stack.

Elle's Studio: More November Kit Inspiration!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for a lil more Elle's Studio November Kit & new releases inspiration!
There is so much wonder and joy in this world,
and for today's post I wanted to document something (and someone) that I am truly grateful for!
With this 'thankful' theme in mind, I looked out the Elle's Studio Grateful Journaling Tags, as well as a few of the Thanksgiving inspired items in this month's kit to create my page.
Here's what I came up with....

"Love This Moment"

Oh I'm so very Grateful for this moment!

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Marshmallow, Staz On ink - Black, SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins- Into The Woods & That Summer Feelin'.

Let's take a closer look at this sweet page!

Such an awesome page for my sweet boy - so very thankful for him!
As I was creating a masculine page, I opted for a bold color scheme and an uncomplicated design. The green trim at the top of the page was created from the 6 x 6 Tis The Season Paper Stack, and matched that of the Give Thanks note card - perfect!
To hide the join where I butted these two strips of paper together, I overlaid a strip of one of the 6 x 4 note cards in blue. The blue really popped against the forest green color and in turn, created the ideal position to anchor my photo cluster from.
Such a fun way to use the 6 x 4 note cards if you're not a pocket page memory keeper!

As soon as I saw the Grateful Journaling Tags, I knew I had to use one of them to mount my photo onto. However, the white tag really needed a pop of color to draw attention into my darling boy's photograph. To achieve this, I arranged a few of the 3 x 4 note cards beneath the Grateful Journaling Tag & ensured that the colorful trims were peeking beneath the tag. I foam mounted the photo cluster for some gentle dimension, and then tucked in a variety of embellishments into those note card layers.

The circular Christmas Die Cut Labels added both shape and form to the photo cluster. I combined these labels with a few of the Tiny Holiday Blank Sticker Labels, and then tucked one the Tiny Holiday Sticker Labels (favorite view)  under my photograph.

To complete the cluster, I added a mix of the Holiday Puffy Stickers in coordinating colors, and a couple of the die cuts from the November Kit.
The 'counting every blessing' puffy sticker is the perfect descriptor as to how I feel about this moment. So very blessed!
The stamps this month are so amazing that I had to use both of them on my layout. I started by repeat stamping the 'this was so good' phrase, as well as the tiny star from the Let's Eat Stamp.

Next, I took the 'favorite photo' stamp from the Say Cheese Stamp set and applied it to a blue Die Cut Label - which I also stapled and foam mounted for added interest. I used the fabulous Jane Alphabet Stickers in Navy for my title, and even used a few of the asterisks from this sticker sheet too! Again, the pop of blue really adds that point of interest to the layout!
To support the confetti-like stamped stars, I embellished with a few sequins from my SpiegelMemScraps sequins stash.
My layout could have been completed here but, with such a cool and crisp design, I felt it needed something else.... cue the Wood Veneer Phrases!
The wood veneer was the perfect addition. This embellishment added warmth, balance and even new texture to the page. Never under estimate the value of a good embellishment!
Simple. Bold. Striking!
A beautiful Thankful themed layout for my darling boy's album!

I hope I have inspired you to get creating with this month's kit and amazing new products!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Now time for some inspiration,
 here's what I created......

"Thankful"

Oh.my.heart!
So thankful for this season, indeed! So super pretty, too!
All the Farmhouse & Fall feels happenin' here!

Here's a better look for you....

Just DIVINE!!!

Vibez Rollin' In The Hay takes center stage in this layout, and geez, it's simply stunning!!!
I used this amazing color to back the FLORAL PUMPKIN cut file designed by Wild Pilot & courtesy of the Silhouette Store. I just love how effective this looks, and couldn't help but pair it with that similar die cut from the Paige Evans, Truly Grateful collection and our gorgeous exclusive pumpkin Dotz!  #pumpkinsforthewin

You'll see that I used both the Shimmerz Peacock's Plume and Inklingz Imperial Amethyst to paint the flowers on the cut file, and then backed these flowers with similar colored pattern papers for that added wow factor! To create the green for the leaves, I sprayed a lil Vibez Rollin' in the Hay into a paint tray, and added a few generous droplets of Shimmerz Peacock's Plume & mixed up this pretty 'bonus' color! Vibez Rose Gold Red is the perfect color for the berries, and completes the look!

How gorgeous are the exclusive pumpkin Dotz?!!
You'll spot two of these lovelies in this embellishment cluster, and the other one adorning my sweet photo!
I combined the Hip Kit Club August 2019 Main Kit, and SpiegelMom Scraps: Jewel of the Nile sequin mix to decorate my layout. But in the end, it's all about the color...

Seriously stunning colors in this month's kit!
And yes, Vibez: Rollin' in the Hay is going on my official must-have colorz list! This color has absolutely wowed me! Ga-ga-gor-jus!!!!

It really was a fun page to create!

I hope that I have inspired you to get creating with this fabulous monthly kit!

Here's what this month's amazing kit looks like.......

Oh what fun, indeed! It's no secret that I LOVE all the Christmas things!!!
This kit has it all!
The Add-ons are pretty incredible too.....

Ooooh! SO many pretties!!!!
The Merry & Bright 6 x 6 Paper Stack is totally awesome!
& let's not forget that Merry Moment Stamp & those veneer snow globes!

And last, but by no means least, this month's Digital Cut Files & Printables.....

All the heart eyes for these too!

I say it every month, but Elle's Studio have done it again!
So many beautiful products for all your memory keeping projects!

Here's a peak at just 2 of the layouts I've made with this month's kits and extras.....

"Santa! I Know Him!"

Talk about spreading the Christmas Cheer! Such a fun and festive moment documented!
The mister thought he was so funny being Santa and saying 'Ho! Ho! Ho!' to everyone. Needless to say, that the Ho! Ho! Ho! Acrlyic was a perfect adornment to my layout.
Here's a few close ups for you....

The mint paper with the snow drops (or are they white polkas?) from the Noteworthy collection coordinated perfectly with both my layout theme and color scheme. To enhance the snow drops look, I stamp the Merry Moment spots in mint ink, and hearts in red ink to appear to travel down the page like falling snow. I further enhance this look by embellishing with the Christmas Hand Drawn Acrylic Hearts, Noteworthy Puffy Sticker hearts, and the small & medium Wood Veneer Snow Globes.

How fabulous are the Good Cheer Journaling Tags & the  3" x 4" cards from the November Kit?!
I couldn't resist the Santa! I know him! one - perfect for telling this merry story!

Love it!

Here's another fun & festive memory.....

"Around The Christmas Tree"

Rockin' around the Christmas Tree....
All the Happy Holidays vibes here!
I just adore the fun colors in this month's kit and they work beautifully with my sweet photo!
Here's a better look for you.....

The pops of blue in the November Kit, combined with the Navy Puffy Alphabet Stickers compliment my son's shirt in the photo to a T! They make for a perfect accent color in my otherwise red, white & mint layout.

I create lots of lovely layers with the November Kit and Add-ons for my photo cluster, and tuck in a few die cuts, phrase stickers and even those amazing Wood Veneer Snow Globes. Awesome!

I am totally crushing on the Wood Veneer Snow Globes - they're just the cutest  Christmas embellishment! I may order a few more of these beauties to use in my Decemeber Daily album!!!

Snow.much.gorgeousness!!!

I hope I have inspired you with today's layouts!
You can see more from me with this amazing kit later in the month!
