I havent had the time to blog about my convocation,
which took place on 23rd july 2008.
I want to write a bit about that day because it marked the end of my education.
Just like most of you, i dreaded going to school.
But what they said is true, that the best time in your life is when you're in school.
Now I wish that time could turn back to a few years ago, when i had nothing to worry about except going to school and passing those exams.
:(
Life as an adult is undeniably more complicated.
Money, career, relationships, etc.
Gosh. I'm not ready.
I even considered going overseas to do a master degree, just to get back into the schooling phase of life.
But of course i dropped it because i'm not getting any younger. HAHAHA
i need to start earning money and start my independent life soon.
SOON.
But first, im going to BKK in 2 weeks time HAHAHAAHAH.
Anyway, so my mom came to attend my convocation.
My dad wanted to come as well, but a crisis in the company had to happen and he had to cancel his flight at the last minute.
Oh wells.
So it was just my mom and I, and of course, Perry and his family :)
Didnt see many friends in the afternoon session.
Didnt take many pics with my frens either.
I realised just how few friends i had in ntu.
What a waste eh.
Not getting to know more people.
I think I was too caught up in my own world during the past 4 years.
Refusing to be friendly to anyone other than those i've known.
REGRETS!
So my reflection of my ntu days.
Well, obviously, i detested the course i was majoring in.
other than that, i've to say that i'm gonna miss the school.
Yes it may be situated at the most western part of spore, away from everywhere else.
And it took 1 n a half hours to travel to school fr home, changing 3 buses along the way. But the school actually looks really green and nice to stay in. all those trees and parks. some people complain that it looks like a jungle, but i like it.
I'd rather have the school surrounded with trees than buildings.
Well, I just have to (reluctantly) admit that I actually had a blast :D
There were the year 1 days.
When I didnt know anyone at all, since I didnt join the orientation camp.
And made friends with wanyui.
We were together everywhere, everyday.
until she decided to dump ntu for greener pastures in sim :(
and i was left alone to have lunch by myself,
studied by myself, went for lectures n tuts by myself :(
THEN, came year 2, when I made friends w alvin n nico.
Very smart ah you 2, top honours ah.
BUT IM STILL BETTER AT CIRCUIT HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH
and i was blamed for the reason that caused nico to get a C for circuit.
The only C he ever had in his life.
Apparently he said he spent too much time listening to my fabulous circuit theories and neglected his own theories as a result.
I'm sure his theories are the correct ones. HAHAHA.
I think I sprinkled a bit of my "smart" powder on him.
Oops.
Oh and of course, even before alvin and nico, there was fiyyaz, iylia, azli, etc.
Well, we didnt really spend a lot of time in sch,
more like out of sch maybe. when fiyyaz was working at godiva HAHAHHAHA
free chocs for all my gfs.
totally lost contact iwth fiyyaz n azli tho.
Then of course, year 2 sem 2,
how can i ever forget :)
I met the love of my life :D
and my other love of my life too HAAHA
rahrah darling and perrypoonie :D
and the other frens too
Nadia, elan, joe, etc.
and my DIP frens. EHHEHEHE
i think they dont take me seriously, those smart DIP frens of mine.
but it's ok.
Like what nico said, my job was to escort the profs into the lab.
Year 3 was a mess.
It was an emotional roller coaster for me.
THE ENTIRE YEAR!
Obviously, did badly for exam and all.
OHHHHH my keppel internship.
hehehe bob the builder days.
Then year 4.
FYP SIAO.
intensive mugging,
and the first time i actually studied while perry slept.
Usually it was the other way round. heh.
Also, the hall days...
2 years of hall.
as an illegal immigrant for half a year though.
Then finally got my room with rahrah babe.
There are of course many more significant memories.

HAHA im back with more pics fr taipei
this is getting hopeless!
there are so many things i wanna blog abt.
Theres the convocation,etc
ANYWAY... so this is the best duck noodles i've ever had in my entire life.
We went to taipei 101.
Not for the shopping because obviously the things are expensive.
theres vivienne westwood, probably the only shop that i went into coz i dont see v.w in spore. is there one?
Then we got bored n decided to hit the night market instead,
where we could actually shop hehe.
For dinner we ate at this small resto and the food was delicious.
Sigh. why was it that everywhere we went, they had delicious food at such affordable price??? why not so in spore?
Anyway, this was noodles with sesame oil (YUM), with vegetables n golden mushrooms and herbal chicken soup. YUMMM.
Then at nite we had supper at ximending.
This is a halfway eaten fish dumpling noodles.
Which was really delicious too.
The next day we had lunch at ximending again before walking around.
This is a cold dish.
One of my favorite since Shanghai days.
It's century egg with some black sauce and tofu.
Served really chilled. It's so yummy i ate 2 of these by myself :X
This is my favorite drink in taipei.
honey green tea.
I wonder why they dont have it here in spore.
and the yummy carrot cake :D
We took photos of the hotel.
Last day of my wonderful holiday :(
Perry n i were really sad.
We enjoyed ourselves so much during the 2 weeks.
And we even managed to catch a movie :)
this is getting hopeless!
