In yesterday's Daily Universe, there was a letter to the editor regarding Proposition 8. I would like to comment on this letter. First of all, I understand that the paper tries to be unbiased on controversial issues that people write about. I know that they like to put both sides of the issue in the paper so people can see and express their honest opinions. However, I really feel that when someone writes something so obviously anti-Mormon, that they should not publish this piece. We are a private, church-run institution, and I don't feel that we should have to read crap that blatantly attacks what the church stands for. Proposition 8 is what will be voted for in November in California regarding same-sex marriages. The proposition would add a very clear definition of marriage.
