Swarth
Portal - Swarth (2009)
Lets keep things moving along with Portal's Swarth. This is one of those bands I can't really just put on and listen to. I don't listen to them regularly but every once in awhile I feel the urge to be consumed by a swarm of buzzing riffs and obviously bees. Tons and tons of bees. Eating my brain and stuff. You know, man?

The Toll - The Toll
The Toll is the solo project of Will Killingsworth of Vaccine, Ampere, Orchid, etc. It's quite a departure though as The Toll is a giant, ugly wall of sound. Really fuzzed out noisy sludgy stuff that tends to come off as pretty contrived. The record was released through Youth Attack, so it definitely has that vibe to it. Not really sure if it's worth posting this or not, listen in if you're bored.

EDIT: I changed my mind. After finishing the entire thing, this album is totally bullshit.

Total Abuse - Mutt
I love this record. I actually can't believe I never uploaded it. Just gone done blasting it loud as fuck and thought I'd make sure it was on the blog. Total Abuse is a horrible, nasty, disgusting band from Austin that makes gross music. I love it. If you like gross music as much as I do, so will you.

In an interview with Tony Rettman of Blastitude, Pissed Jeans’ singer described their sound and intent with the following: “The idea was to start a different kinda punk band focused on dead ended carnal cravings, sexual depression…that sort of thing. Mainly we just wanted to bludgeon the listener with dull, monotonous droning rock music that just sucks the energy out of you, the musical equivalent to watching a toilet flush.”
Pretty perfect description if I do say so myself.
