Trash Talk Mixtape: Dream Awhile, Scheme Awhile
This is an odd one. I got this in my email today from Trash Talk's label. It's a mixtape of soul songs put together by one of the guys from the band. Strange, but I enjoyed it. Cover art is really misleading.

Black Flag - The Process Of Weeding Out
This is a strange one. If you're a casual Black Flag fan or not a fan of the band at all, you probably haven't heard of this one. It definitely breaks the Black Flag mold and shows how truly genius these guys really were. It's four tracks of really experimental, almost sludgy, punkish and almost progressive sounding stuff. It's also completely instrumental and most of the songs are over five minutes long. If you've never heard it before, check it out. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Darkthrone - Frostland Tapes
The Frostland Tapes, a three disc set released in 2008, was the first official release of Darkthrone's first four demos as well as a live recording from 1990. Also included is a (formerly) rare recording from the 1991 Goatlord rehearsal session. As expected, muddy ass production and some of the songs don't even have vocal tracks on them. Fucking awesome stuff though, a must for any and all so called black metal fans.

A day late on this one. See the album cover? The music is even scarier. Fucked up Korean improvised torture (read: music), an interesting listen to say the least.
