Thank You

This is Thank You card is for SCS Inspiration Challenge IC147. I chose a 5.5 square black card base. I used Basic Grey Lily Kate dp. I love the bottom piece as I think it mimics the carpet in the inspiration picture. For my main image I wanted to incorporate the black leafy image with the quilt texture. I decided to cuttlebug a white piece, then use acetate to run the leafy folder through. I colored the back of the image with permanent black bic marker. I would love to find a permanent marker that truly looks black when it is dried. I loved the look so well, that I used minimal embellishments to finish the card. A Very Merry Christmas to You

Did somebody say....critters? This is for Splitcoaststampers Limited Supplies Challenge LSC187. Love this challenge. We had to make a Christmas card using critters. We could only use ribbon as an embellishment. This is a legal A10 envelop size card. A great size to work with. This was fun and I think these penguins are super cute!!!!!

This card is for Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge CC185. I love Kiwi Kiss and Baha Breeze is growing on me. I love this color combo. Thanks, Cindy Lawrence for filling in for Emily today!!!! I used a cuttlebug folder I have not used in awhile. I sponged bordering blue over it to created some depth. I then stamped my Lovely As a Tree stamp set... and sponged colored it. I added a sentiment with my new MS branch punch. I love this clustering look. I cannot believe I did not use a single piece of ribbon, though. I did turn back the top corner of the embossed piece and stamp the pinecone and leaf image from this set in the corner as well as behind the sentiment. Cardstock used....kiwi kiss, baha breeze, very vanilla Ink....adirondack lettuce, black staz on, timber brown staz on, bordering blue Accessories.....SU medium and large circle punch, oval petite nesties, sponges, cb embossing folder, MS branch punch. DD/DDA September Challenge

For those who know me, KNOW I suffer with allergies. I have tubes in my ears. I tried to fight it this time.....but ended up at urgent care for almost three hours on Saturday just to get some amoxicillan. However, my ear is doing a lot better and I am not so loopy headed...lol. I have finally had a chance to work on this month's DD/DDA September Challenge. The challenge.....Create a NO LAYER card any size, any color. Your card base is it - no additional layers of cardstock or designer paper at all. Required Element: Masking - use masking or reverse masking in some way to create your design.Restricted Element: No use of the color pink (any shade) Ribbon and sentiment embellishments were allowed so I did used an oval punch for my sentiment. I used ONLY Stampin Up product for this card. The grid sheet really helped. I marked off my card dimensions and cut out size from grid paper. I then marked off the part of the center I wanted to tear out. I used the postive and negative portions of my homemade center to make this card. I used very vanilla cardstock-so saffron, close to cocoa, and black staz on ink-large oval punch, chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, sponges, adhesive remover.

194. I love this sketch. I used chocolate chip and gp white along with basic gray sultry dp. I cuttlebugged three of the panels to create some texture and interest. I love this MS butterfly. It just seems to be the perfect finishing touch to any flower.

Hello Chica

Wow!!!! I am late getting this challenge in today. The picture is a little dark, too. It was already dark when I finished. This is for SCS Ways to Use it Challenge. I love this kissable tree stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. It is truly kissable which I did here with the Daisy Chain scrapblock. Love the curly cue branches...so perfect for a touch of bling. I added the white gel detailing in the corners, but if I were to redo this card, I would have left the dots to just the sentiment oval. I think the corners need something else. I paper pieced these cute little birdies.

Technique Paper Piecing and Kissing

I had a very busy day. My son got his braces off today. I was so amazed at how pretty and straight his teeth are now. We had to go to the orthodontist twice, though. Once to get the braces off and once for the retainer fitting. Needless to say, he was absent from school the whole day. There was no other way to work it. I also had to take him to pick up his new glasses. Then, we had lunch. By the time we got home, it was time to do my high school carpooling. By the time I finally got to my craftroom today, it was LATE. Then, someone actually mentioned...when dinner would be ready?

Finally.....I finished my card. Had to keep walking away from my craft desk to do stuff. Thanks, Roxie for a fabu sketch. I chose an unusal color combo today. I combined SU Kiwi Kiss with PTI Aqua Mist, and

Prism Papers Blush Red Medium. What a color combo? It is rainy here today and these colors just seem cheerful. I double stamped the stem and flower branch from Artfully Asian to give a bigger overall look. I colored and added some mini pearl detailing. What do you think?

Thinking of You

My first blog post!!!!!! WooHoo!!!!! I should pinch myself. I finally decided to jump on board the blogging wagon!!!!! Here is a card I did today for Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge CC183. I was halfway through my card making when I realized that going gray was the light gray SU cardstock and not the dark gray. It has been awhile since I used these shades. I embraced the gray and the green. Iwanted to keep the card layout pretty simple to emphasize the coneflower. I love this Single Coneflower stamp from CHF. The sized is perfect for coloring and cutting. I actually cut out the cone and the petals and adhered on dimensionals. I am practicing my coloring. I do not own copic markers, yet. I have purchased some permanent bic and sharpie markers. I really like the results with these so far. I finished my card with some ribbon and a bow with a touch of pearl. The sentiment is also by CHF called Script Essential Expressions.
