Hero + Distress = Happiness

Hello My Friends,

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you will enjoy the cards I have posted. Today, I will be sharing samples of cards using Hero Art stamps and Ranger Distress Inks.

I was watching video on one of the Hero designers blogs, where they were teaching several techniques using Distress inks with water and then another with emboss resist. So, of course I had to try it......immediately!

All stamps used are from Hero Arts. All papers used are from Memory Box. This technique is emboss resist with the Distress inks.
This is a water based smooshing technique. Putting several ink colors on the work sheet and then "walking" the stamp through the inks. Next is to spray the inked stamp with plenty of water, then stamp onto paper.

ETA: Here is a link to the video which teaches the techniques, step by step. click HERE. The video is at the bottom of the post.

Have some fun with your stamps and inks. Thanks for stopping by.

JUST A CARD

Hi My Friends,

Thought I would share this little card today. The color combo came from the Hero Arts girls at CHA. One of their make 'n takes was a different style of card using the same color combo. The colors are from Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Walnut Stain. The stamps are of course Hero Arts - Heart Flourish and Fancy Heart. The technique is a watercolor technique that I taught in my Basics class. We had a lot of fun in class. I so love to see newbies get totally excited when their card comes out great. They get to see how easy it is to do and feel confident that they can go home and do this on their own. That's the love of stamping!

Enjoy your day and go stamp something......
